4/4/21 : Phillies Alt Site game today vs Yankees

The game was held at the Yankees AAA Scranton Wilkes Barre field.


Game excerpts were reported by Conor Foley who covers the Rail Riders for the Times-Tribune in Scranton.


There were no umpires, the catchers called balls and strikes and the benches were responsible for deciding check swings.


According to Conor the Phillies won the contest 2-0 ... that included at least one inning that was rolled by the Yankees with the bases full.


Some Phillies Highlights:


Lefty Christopher Sanchez started on the hill for the Phillies and pitched three innings with six strikeouts. He struck out the side in the first inning.


JD Hammer struck out the side in the eighth inning.


Odubel Herrera stroked a double in the fourth inning to plate the game’s first run.


Scott Kingery doubled to start the fourth inning and scored on Odubel’s double.

Maton - 3B

Marchan - DH

Brito - 2B

Jankowski - LF

Duran - C
