Summary :
Otto Kemp homered in the first inning.
Hudson Valley scored a run in the first inning on a double and single.
Justin Crawford doubled in the 4th inning, went to third on a single by Otto Kemp and scored on a force out grounder by Bryan Rincon on which Rincon reached. Felix Reyes doubled to score Rincon. William Bergolla singled to score Reyes.
Hudson Valley scored three runs in the bottom of the 4th on a single, double, walk, sacrifice fly (RBI) and single (two RBIs).
Hudson Valley scored four runs in the 6th on four walks, two singles, a throwing error and sac fly.
Felix Reyes singled in the seventh, he was out at second on a force out - William Bergolla reached. Bergolla stole second and scored on a triple by Erick Brito.

Alex Rao pitched 1.2 innings - 0 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s - two inherited runners scored - 19 pitches - 12 strikes. Mason Ronan pitched 1/3 of an inning - 4 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 1 K - 26 pitches - 12 strikes. Gunner Mayer pitched 1.2 innings - 0 R, 0 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s - one of two inherited runners scored - 27 pitches - 13 strikes. Felix Reyes and Otto Kemp each had two hits. Kemp homered, Reyes doubled. Justin Crawford doubled and Erick Brito tripled.

Coming into tonight’s action the BlueClaws are fourth in the league (though they had just one last week) with 48 stolen bases this year. Justin Crawford added his team-leading 11th stolen base on May 5th. Cade Fergus is second on the team with seven and Emaarion Boyd (who stole 56 last year to lead the Florida State League with Clearwater) and and William Bergolla (who stole just two bases last year with Clearwater) have six. Jersey Shore stole a season-high seven bases on April 27th at Aberdeen – including two each by Cade Fergus, William Bergolla, and Erick Brito. The seven steals is two off the club record (4/8/23 at Brooklyn and 4/8/22 vs Aberdeen). Summary :
Clearwater scored a run in the 1st inning - Aidan Miller was hit by a pitch, Rafael Marchan, Keaton Anthony and Devin Saltiban (RBI) singled.
Keaton Anthony doubled in the third inning, Bryson Ware was hit by a pitch. Raylin Heredia singled to score Anthony.
A single and double scored a run for Daytona in the 4th inning.
A walk, ground out, wild pitch and single scored a run in the 6th inning for Daytona.
Avery Owusu-Asiedu homered to lead off the bottom of the 6th inning.
Paxton Thompson came in to strand all three runners in a two out bases loaded jam in the 7th inning by getting a fly ball for the third out.
Avery Owusu-Asiedu doubled in the seventh inning, he scored on a triple by Dakota Kotowski.
Drew Garrett stranded two inherited runners in the 8th inning coming into the frame with one out, he got a strikeout and pop out.

Paxton Thompson pitched 2/3 of an inning - 0 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 0 K’s - three inherited runners stranded - 19 pitches - 11 strikes. Summary :
An originally scheduled seven inning game went an extra frame as the score was knotted after regulation.
The Blue Jays plated a run in the third inning on three singles. They scored another run in the 6th on a walk, two wild pitches and a ground out.
The Phillies tied the game in the bottom of the sixth. Jorge Mendez was hit by a pitch, Diego Gonzalez walked. They both advanced on a passed ball. Starlyn Caba came up clutch with a ground rule double that bounced over the right center field fence to score two runs!
In the 8th inning with a runner placed at second base to begin the frame a single and three doubles scored four Blue Jays runs.
In the bottom of the 8th Jerffson Peña was the placed runner at second base. Manolfi Jimenez singled to move him to third base, Leonardo Rondon hit a sacrifice fly to score him.
On The Hill : 6 R, 9 H, 3 BB, 7 K’s
Danyony Pulido pitched five innings - 1 R, 5 H, 1 HB, 2 BB, 5 K’s. Juan Amarante pitched an inning - 1 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s. Pedro Reyes pitched. 1.1 innings - 4 R, 4 H, 1 HB, 0 BB, 0 K’s. Kleyderve Andrade faced one batter and rolled a double play ground ball to end the 8th inning.

Starlyn Caba had two hits (single & double), a walk and two RBIs. Manolfi Jimenez had two hits (singles), Eduardo Tait singled and walked, Guillermo Rosario walked twice.
Notes :
Former major league knuckleballer R.A. Dickey was on hand - he’s helping Blue Jays knuckleball pitcher Ryan Chasse with the pitch. R.A. stood behind the backstop fence to observe his student’s work. Chasse is a lefty who throws his knuckler in the upper sixties, he got more outs sneaking in the fastball (86-88 mph) in the mix in this game - battled control with the knuckler - 4 walks in 1.2 IP - 2 runs (one earned) on no hits with two strikeouts.
