Triple A East League - Lehigh Valley 8 ( 10-6 ) Syracuse 4 ( 3-13 )
Summary :
2B Luke Williams delivered an RBI single in the top of the sixth inning. CF Mickey Moniak hit a three run home run in the inning. C Edgar Cabral drew a bases loaded walk to score another run. Two more runs scored on an infield groundout where the second baseman was hurt on a collision at second base with the sliding Cabral. The Iron Pigs scored seven times in the inning, Syracuse used three pitchers to get thru the inning.
SS Ruben Tejada singled to score RF Cornelius Randolph ( walked ) in the 8th inning.
Adonis Medina & Damon Jones were perfect thru seven innings. Syracuse got their first hit in the game from the leadoff hitter in the 8th inning. They scored twice in the inning against Bryan Mitchell on a couple singles and an error.
Syracuse scored two runs in the ninth inning and loaded the bases with no outs. LHP Jeff Singer came into the game and ended it by retiring all three batters he faced.
