Scoring Summary :
Two singles and a double scored two first inning runs for Buffalo.
Riley Tirotta homered for Buffalo in the third inning.
Rodolfo Castro singled in the third inning, Rafael Lantigua worked a professional PA for a walk. Justin Crawford hit a two strike pitch on the outside corner on a line drive in the third base/shortstop hole for a single and scored Castro.
Rainer Nunez homered for Buffalo in the fourth inning.
Buffalo plated four runs in the fifth inning on two singles, a hit batter, walk and double.
Rafael Lantigua walked in the bottom of the fifth. Justin Crawford singled. Payton Henry singled to score Lantigua. Christian Arroyo doubled to score two runs.
Otto Kemp and Justin Crawford singled in the sixth inning, a balk call allowed Kemp to score.

When you watch Justin Crawford play everyday you can’t help but marvel at his bat to ball skills, especially with two strikes on him. His ability to put the ball in play for base hits or place the ball in competitive spots to get a hit is uncanny. It’s a skill that is very infrequently talked about by folks but it is indeed an ability that is elite and not many players possess.

It has been an up and down season so far for King, who is starting for the first time in his career, after pitching as a reliever last season, and not throwing more than two innings. King signed with the Phillies in February of 2024 after not playing baseball for nearly three years.
