The 27 year old outfielder last played for the Tigers during the 2020 season appearing in 30 games and hitting .221 with 2 home runs and 17 RBIs in 86 AB’s. He’s also played for the Kansas City Royals and hit 17 home runs for them during the 2017 season.
In 2019 he hit 20 home runs and drove in 62 for the Royals AAA affiliate. He’s a corner outfielder with most of his appearances in right field. Jorge is the younger brother of Emilio Bonifacio ( 35 years old )who played 12 big league seasons as a utility man with ten different organizations, most recently Washington in 2020.
He has been assigned to the Reading roster.
