The young FCL Phillies have struggled defensively most of the year however today they played quite well - third baseman Meylin De Leon made a great snag on a hard hit grounder in the ninth inning to turn it into an out and second baseman Adrian Garcia was really good on pivot throws to first base - has a very strong arm. They work on their defense every day - it’s good to see improvements but also expected with the work the coaches put in to teach them - good stuff!
