LHP Jordan Fowler - Central Missouri University, a 6’3” 180 pound junior from Union City, Tennessee has signed an Undrafted free agent contract with the Phillies. Fowler was 5-1 in six games this season with a 2.01 ERA in 31 1/3 IP. He had transferred to Central Missouri after pitching two seasons at Ole Miss where was 8-0 in 25 appearances ( 63.1 IP ) with a 4.26 ERA
Jordan had previously been drafted in 2017 by the Texas Rangers in the 26th round out of Dyer County High School. His FB sits in the 91-93 range ... he’s come back from a fractured back and neck suffered in a car accident in the summer of 2017.
LHP Jake McKenna - Ocean City High School, Ocean City, NJ has also reportedly signed as an Undrafted free agent with the Phillies. Jake is 6’6” 215 and was committed to attend St. Joseph‘s University. He’s 18 years old with a FB that sits in the high 80’s to low 90’s and has a 12 to 6 curve as a secondary offering.
