International League ( AAA ) -  Toledo 4 (28-37) Lehigh Valley 3 (33-31) - 12 innings

Allentown, PA - Coca-Cola Park



On the Hill :


Nick Nelson went four scoreless, two hits, two walks, four strikeouts. Taylor Lehman, Connor Brogdon and Jace Vines each threw scoreless/hit less innings. Jeremy Walker pitched two frames, one unearned run (placed runner).


At the Bat :


Simon Muzziotti had three hits (two singles & double) and walked once. Scott Kingery had two hits.

Mick Abel was solid, five innings, two runs, four hits, two walks, seven strikeouts. Cristian Hernandez threw two scoreless innings lowering his season ERA to 1.99.  Braden Zarbnisky closed with a scoreless ninth inning.


At the Bat :


Madison Stokes had three hits (two singles & double), two RBIs and scored twice. Matt Kroon and Ethan Wilson each had two hits. Cody Roberts, McCarthy Tatum and Johan Rojas doubled.  Carlos De La Cruz tripled to extend his on base streak to 30 games.

A team effort as eight pitchers threw, Tristan Garnett went one and one third scoreless, Cam Wynne, Jordi Martinez and Carlos  Francisco each threw no run innings.


At the Bat :


Gabriel Rincones Jr had two hits (single & double), three RBIs and scored twice. Rixon Wingrove had two hits and two RBIs. Andrik Nava had two hits, Leandro Pineda tripled.

Sam Aldegheri went five innings, three runs, three hits, one walk and six strikeouts and Jean Cabrera pitched the final four, one run, three hits, two walks and five strikeouts.


At the Bat :


Otto Kemp had two hits, Jordan Dissin and Cade Fergus each doubled, Fergus had three RBIs.  Justin Crawford stole three bases bringing his season total to 28, Emaarion Boyd stole two giving him 36 for the year.

Phillies 7 (6-2) Blue Jays 6 (2-6) - 10 innings

Summary :


Cam Cannon homered in the fourth inning.  The Blue Jays scored a run in the bottom of the inning on a walk, two singles and ground out.


Kliubert Avilla homered in the fifth inning. Dakota Kotowski hit a two run home run.


The Blue Jays scored three in the seventh, two on a home run by Victor Arias.


Yhoswar Garcia doubled to score two runs in the 8th inning.


Yhoangel Aponte homered for the Blue Jays in the ninth to send the game into extra innings.


Dakota Kotowski scored on a wild pitch in the tenth inning, Luis Gomez needed to only pitch to two batters in the bottom of the tenth, the placed runner was doubled off second on a line drive out and a groundout followed to end the game.


On the Hill :


Enrique Segura started and went two and two thirds, no runs, no hits, four walks and three strikeouts. Nathan Karaffa went two and one third, one run, two hits, two walks, one strikeout. Francisco Morales threw a perfect inning, one strikeout. Luis Gomez posted his third save by pitching the ninth inning.


At the Bat :


Yhoswar Garcia doubled, Cam Cannon, Dakota Kotowski and Kliubert Avila homered.




Dominican Summer League :


Phillies Red 15 (4-4) Twins 10 (1-7)

@ Twins Training Complex


Summary :


The Phillies scored single runs in the first and second innings before exploding for eleven runs in the third on seven hits, seven walks and two hit batters.  Andres Hernandez doubled in the third and Jaeden Calderon tripled.


The Twins scored one in the second and two in the fourth.  Victor Cardoza homered for the Phillies in the sixth.


The Twins scored four in the sixth on a walk, two singles and two doubles. They scored three in the 8th on a triple, two walks and a double.


On the Hill :


Joel Heredia pitched the first three innings yielding one run.  Luis Martinez pitched a scoreless ninth.


At the Bat :


Eduardo Tait and Kilwer Colmenares each had two hits. Tait and Andres Hernandez doubled. Jaeden Calderon tripled and Victor Cardoza homered.



Phillies White 7 (6-2) Tigers2 0 (2-6)

Summary :


The Phillies scored four in the first inning on three walks, an error, two singles and a double by Jorge Julio.  Aroon Escobar doubled in the seventh to score two runs.  Starlyn Caba singled to score a run in the eighth inning.


On the Hill :


Maxwell Hernandez went three and one third innings, no runs, one hit, one walk, six strikeouts. Luis Avila pitched two and two thirds, no runs, one hit, one walk, four strikeouts.  Kleyderve Andrade pitched three innings, five hits, no walks and five strikeouts.


At the Bat :


Jerffson Peña had two hits. Jorge Julio, Angel Mata and Aroon Escobar doubled.



System Transactions :


Lehigh Valley : LHP Jakob Hernandez transferred to the Full-Season IL from the 7-Day IL.


Jersey Shore : RHP Alex Garbrick transferred from the 7-day IL to the Full-Season IL. 


Clearwater : LHP Samuel Aldegheri reinstated from the Development List. RHP Konnor Ash transferred from the FCL Phillies to the Clearwater Threshers.


FCL Phillies : INF Cam Cannon (AA Reading 7-day IL) began a minor league rehab assignment.  OF Yemal Flores placed on the 7-day IL.
