6/17/26 : Phillies sign Tyler Miller to minor league contract

As previously announced by the Lancaster Stormers of the Atlantic League twenty six year old infielder Tyler Miller has signed a minor league contract with the Phillies. He was playing for the Stormers where the left handed hitter posted a .310/.401/.620 slash line and 1.021 OPS in 47 games (217 PA’s) with 16 doubles, 14 home runs and 56 RBIs. He has been assigned to Jersey Shore.
Miller was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 9th round of the 2021 draft from Auburn and is from Spanish Fort, Alabama. He played five seasons in the Boston organization before being released on 3/19/26. He has a career .238/.299/.377 slash line in 412 minor league games (1,652 PA’s) with 72 doubles, 38 home runs and 206 RBIs. Defensively he’s played primarily first base but has seen time at third base and the outfield as well. He has played four games at the AAA level in his career with the majority of his time at the A and AA levels.
Injuries and trades have necessitated the need to fill roster voids in the Phillies Minor League system. With that in mind Miller joins three other free agent players (https://www.philliesbaseballfan.com/post/6-17-26-phillies-add-3-minor-league-free-agents)
