Stealing Bags and Limiting Them - Since the start of June, the Fightin Phils lead the Eastern League with 28 stolen bases, leading second-place Erie by two stolen bags. Entering play on Saturday, Reading is second to Erie in the league with 108 stolen bases and is on pace for 222 this season. This came after the Fightin Phils swiped 173 bags in 2025. The last time Reading stole over 200 bags in a season was 1983, when they stole a franchise record 272 that season. STARTING OFF WITH A BANG: The Clearwater Threshers scored five of their six runs off home runs in the first three innings and cruised to start the second half with a 6-4 win over the Bradenton Marauders on Friday night. Nathan Humphreys and TJayy Walton hit two-run homers while Juan Villavicencio went 2-3 with a solo homer and two runs scored. Tegan Cain earned the save by retiring the final five batters and striking out one.
