International League ( AAA ) -  Worcester 5 (37-34) Lehigh Valley 0 (34-35)

On the Hill :


Five pitchers were used, Trey Cobb, Luis Ortiz and Andrew Bellatti each threw scoreless frames.


At the Bat :


The team was held to two hits, Darick Hall walked three times.

Mick Abel went five plus innings, three runs, two earned.  Keylan Killgore and Tyler McKay threw scoreless innings in relief, Braden Zarbnisky went an inning and a third scoreless.


At the Bat :


Matt Kroon and Johan Rojas each had two hits, Kroon, Baron Radcliff and Cody Roberts each doubled.  Oliver Dunn hit a two run home run.  Carlos De La Cruz extended his on base streak to 35 games.

Carlos De La Cruz now holds the longest on-base streak by an R-Phil, dating back to 2009. His walk last night put him on base for the 34th-straight game, passing Cameron Perkins mark set in 2014, tonight he extended it to 35 games. On the Hill :


For the second consecutive start Matt Osterberg went seven innings, two runs, seven hits, one walk and five strikeouts.  Carlos Francisco pitched a perfect eighth inning.  Tommy McCollum closed with a scoreless inning.


At the Bat :


Nick Ward had three hits, four players had two hits apiece, Hao Yu Lee, Gabriel Rincones Jr, Rixon Wingrove and Freylin Minyety.  Rincones Jr and Leandro Pineda each doubled.

Tucker Toman hit a first inning home run for Dunedin.


William Bergolla doubled in the second inning and scored on a double by Cade Fergus.


Dunedin scored twice in the third inning on the strength of three singles.


Felix Reyes hit a home run in the fourth inning.


The Blue Jays added three runs in the 5th on four singles.


Troy Schreffler hit a three run home run in the seventh inning.


Dunedin scored a run in the bottom of the seventh on a walk, error, wild pitch and single and four in the 8th on multiple errors and walks.


The game went into a rain delay in the top of the ninth and was eventually called.


On the Hill :


Eiberson Castelanno opened and pitched two innings. Three others followed.


At the Bat :


Felix Reyes and Cade Fergus each had two hits, Reyes and Troy Schreffler homered, Fergus, Caleb Ricketts and William Bergolla each doubled.

Ryan Leitch’s grand slam in the first inning on Tuesday was the third this season for Clearwater. His five RBIs were the most in a game by the Threshers this season.  Justin Crawford extended his hitting  streak to 11-straight games. That is the longest hit streak by a Thresher in 2023.
