Don’t be surprised if some players whom to date have been playing just one defensive position start to get time at different spots - fellas like Aroon Escobar and Devin Saltiban could log some outfield innings for example. Versatility is a good thing.
Both Alirio Ferrebus (1B) and Carter Mathison (RF) made diving catches in Clearwater’s game today against Lakeland.
Shortstop Aidan Miller snagged a line drive to his right to end the Reading game.
Saul Teran issued two intentional walks in the ninth & tenth innings of Jersey Shore’s games to set up force outs - he pitched out of jams in both instances.

6/26/19 : No Hitter in GCL Play! - Phillies West 5 Phillies East 0
The GCL Schedule is a bit quirky this season as both the Phillies East and West clubs are in the same division and are due to play one another nine times. Today was the first meeting at Carpenter Complex on Ashburn Field as the locker mates squared off against one another.
It was a “historic” game as four Phillies West hurlers combined to no hit the Phillies East Squad.
Branden Ramey ( 4 IP, 1 BB, 7 K’s), Hsin-Chie Lin ( 3 2/3 IP, 1 BB, 6 K’s ), Brian Marconi ( 1/3 IP, 1 BB ) and Tyler Burch ( 1 IP, 2 K’s ) combined for the no-no for Phillies West. All impressed in the heat of a noon game where the heat index was estimated to be at 110 degrees 🥵.
