6/27/26 : Phillies sign Tommy Pham

The club has signed veteran outfielder Tommy Pham to a minor league contract. He’s 38 years old and has played in 13 major league seasons with ten teams, most recently the Baltimore Orioles. He opted out of his contract on 6/12/26.
Pham was playing for the Orioles AAA affiliate Norfolk where in his last eleven games he went 10 for 43 with 4 home runs, 10 RBIs, 5 walks and 16 K’s. Overall he’s played in 16 minor league games this season in the Mets and Orioles organizations. His last appearance in the majors was on April 26th with the Mets. He played in nine games with the Mets this season before electing free agency on 4/29/26 after being designated for assignment, he then signed with the Orioles on 5/16/26.
Pham has 200 career doubles, 149 home runs and a career .256/.344/.421 slash line in 4.842 plate appearances in his major league career. He has a .315/.331/.492 slash line in 37 post season games with 6 home runs and 12 RBIs. He played a key role for the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2023 when they went to the World Series.
He will begin his Phillies stint in Clearwater at the Player Development Center and likely be transferred to Lehigh Valley from there. He’s widely known for a strong work ethic and intense preparation.
