6/30/25 : June Standouts -Phillies Minor Leagues

The Phillies have historically issued “Player of the Month” awards in two categories - Hitter and Pitcher.  Below are nominations for the June awards 🤔🤓.

Hitter of the Month :

OF Justin Crawford - Lehigh Valley - 21 years old - 2022 1st round draft selection - Bishop Gorman HS, Las Vegas, NV - had a .344/.434/.469 slash line and .903 OPS in 76 PA’s (16 games) with 22 hits, 5 doubles, a home run and 10 RBIs, 14 runs scored, 11 walks, 7 stolen bases and 30 total bases.

OF/1B/3B Felix Reyes - Reading - 24 years old -signed as an international free agent 2/22/20 - Bani, Dominican Republic - had a .324/.360/.620 slash line with a .980 OPS in 75 PA’s (18 games) with 23 hits, 5 doubles, 2 triples, 4 home runs and 9 RBIs - 14 runs scored and 44 total bases. All Big Felix does is hit rockets - consistently hits the baseball as hard as anyone in the organization.

1B Keaton Anthony - Lehigh Valley/Reading - 24 years old - signed as un-drafted free agent 7/18/23 - University of Iowa - had a .359/.390/.526 slash line, a .916 OPS in 83 plate appearances between Reading and LHV - 19 games - 28  hits, 7 doubles, 2 home runs, 7 runs scored and 41 total bases. Was promoted to LHV from Reading on 6/11/25 - played in 11 games with Lehigh Valley.

OF/2B Dylan Campbell - Reading/Jersey Shore - 22 years old -acquired in trade with Dodgers 1/17/25 - was Dodgers 4C round selection in the 2023 draft - Universityof Texas - had a .321/.402/.487 slash line with a .889 OPS in 92 PA’s with Jersey Shore and Reading in 21 games - 25  hits, 17 runs scored, 7 doubles, 2 home runs, 10 RBIs and 8 stolen bases - 38  total bases. Was promoted to Reading from Jersey Shore on 6/23/25 - played in five games with Reading.

OF Manolfi Jimenez - Clearwater/FCL Phillies - 20 years old - signed as an international free agent 1/15/22 - Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic  - had a .375/.393/.696 slash line and a 1.090 OPS in 18 games (61 PA’s) with 21 hits, 8 doubles, 2 triples and 2 home runs with 8 RBIs - 9 runs scored and 39 total bases. Was promoted to Clearwater from the FCL Phillies on 6/24/25 - played in three games with Clearwater.

OF Dante Nori - Clearwater - 20 years old - 2024 1st round draft selection - Northville HS, Northville, Michigan  - had a .304/.387/.391 slash line and .778 OPS in 24 games (106 PA’s) with 28 hits, 6 doubles, 1 triple, 14 RBIs, 7 stolen bases, 12 walks,  6 runs scored and 36 total bases.

INF Carson DeMartini - Reading/Jersey Shore - 22 years old - 2024 4th round draft selection - Virginia Tech - had a .272/.362 /.446 slash line and .808  OPS in 23 games (105 PA’s) with 25 hits, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 8 stolen bases - 18 runs scored and 41 total bases - was promoted to Reading from Jersey Shore on 6/9/25 - played in 17 games with Reading.

SS Romeli Espinosa - DSL Phillies White - 17 years old - signed as an international free agent 1/15/25 - Tamayo, Dominican Republic  - had a .333/.377/.404 slash line and a .781 OPS in 15 games (61 PA’s) with 19 hits, 11 runs scored, 2 doubles and a triple - 23 total bases. SS  Maylerson Casanova - DSL Phillies White - 18 years old - signed as an international free agent 1/15/24 - San Cristobal, Dominican Republic  - had a .314/.386/.392 slash line and a .778 OPS in 16 games (57 PA’s) with 16 hits, 7  runs scored, 4  doubles and 5 RBIs  - 20  total bases. Pitcher of the Month :

RH Jose Pena Jr - Jersey Shore/Clearwater  - 21 years old - 2021 6th round draft selection - Tampa Prep, Tampa, FL - posted a 0.00 ERA in 8 appearances (10.1 IP) with a 0.77 WHIP - 8 K’s and 4 walks - was promoted to Jersey Shore from Clearwater on 6/24/25 - pitched in one game with Jersey Shore.  For the season in 21 games between Jersey Shore and Clearwater he’s recorded a 0.68 ERA in 26.1 IP with a 0.80 WHIP - 25 K’s and 8 walks.

RH Tommy McCollum  - Reading - 26 years old - signed as an un-drafted free agent 7/20/21 - Wingate University - posted a 1.69 ERA in 8 appearances (10.2 IP) with a 0.47 WHIP - 10 K’s and 3 walks - for the season has appeared in 22 games (7 with Jersey Shore) with a 1.20 ERA (30 IP) with 29 K’s and 6 walks - 0.53 WHIP.

RH Saul Teran - Jersey Shore - 23 years old - signed as an international free agent 2/2/21 - Caracas, Venezuela - posted a 1.00 ERA in 7 appearances (9 IP) with a 1.11 WHIP - 9 K’s and 5 walks - for the season has appeared in 22 games (7 with Jersey Shore, 15 with Clearwater) with a 1.00 ERA (27 IP) with 40 K’s and 8 walks - 0.96 WHIP.

RH Jean Cabrera - Reading - 23 years old - signed as an international free agent 7/2/19 - Maracay, Venezuela - posted a 3.33 ERA in 5 starts (27 IP) with a 1.04 WHIP - 26 K’s and 7 walks - for the season he has made 15 starts with a 3.78 ERA (78.2 IP) with 73 K’s and 39 walks.

RH Brad Pacheco  - FCL Phillies - 20 years old - signed as an international free agent 5/18/23 - Bejuma, Venezuela - posted a 1.13 ERA in 3 starts (16 IP) with a 0.81 WHIP - 19 K’s and 4 walks - he struggled to begin the season but showed his talent in June.  (FCL plays today - will update stats on website article after game)

RH Ramon Marquez - FCL Phillies - 19 years old - signed as an international free agent 1/15/25 - Mexico - posted a 2.12 ERA in 4 starts (17 IP) with a 0.65 WHIP - 22 K’s and just 2 walks - for the season has appeared in 6 games (5 starts) with a 2.86 ERA (22 IP) with 27 K’s and 5 walks - 1.00 WHIP.  (FCL plays today - will update stats on website article after game)

RH Estibenzon Jimenez - Reading/Jersey Shore - 23 years old - signed as an international free agent 11/27/19 - San Felipe, Venezuela - posted a 3.54 ERA in 5 starts (28 IP) with a 1.31 WHIP - 18 K’s and 8 walks - for the season has appeared in 16 games (14 with Jersey Shore) with a 5.37 ERA (63.2 IP) with 61 K’s and 19 walks - 1.27 WHIP. Was promoted to Reading on 6/22/25 - made two starts with Reading.

RH Jack Dallas - Reading - 26 years old - signed as an un-drafted free agent 8/1/22 - Lamar University - posted a 2.70 ERA in 7 appearances (10 IP) with a 1.00 WHIP - 7 K’s and 3 walks - for the season has appeared in 19 games with a 4.15 ERA (30.1 IP) with 27 K’s and 9 walks - 1.319 WHIP.

RH Braydon Tucker - Jersey Shore - 25 years old - signed as an un-drafted free agent 7/19/23 - Lipscomb University - posted a 3.00 ERA in 5 appearances - 4 starts (21 IP) with a 1.00 WHIP - 19 K’s and 7 walks - for the season has appeared in 13 games (6 starts) with a 5.10 ERA (47.2 IP) with 37 K’s and 14 walks - 1.24 WHIP.

RH Jaydenn Estanista - Jersey Shore - 23 years old - signed as an international free agent 11/8/19 - Willemstad, Curacao - posted a 2.57 ERA in 6 appearances (7 IP) with a 1.29 WHIP - 8 K’s and 5u walks - for the season has appeared in 21 games with a 3.57 ERA (22.2 IP) with 23 K’s and 13 walks - 1.32 WHIP.

LH Kevin Warunek - Clearwater - 22 years old - 2024 18th round draft selection - Longwood University - posted a 2.00 ERA in 4 appearances (9 IP) with a 1.11 WHIP - 12 K’s and 4 walks - for the season has appeared in 14 games with a 2.29 ERA (19.2 IP) with 27 K’s and 8 walks - 1.12 WHIP.

RH Gabriel Barbosa - Clearwater - 23 years old - selected in Rule 5 draft from Yankees - 12/11/24 - is from Bastos, Brazil - posted a 2.40 ERA in 4 starts (15 IP) with a 1.53 WHIP - 12 K’s and 10 walks - for the season has appeared in 16 games with a 3.83 ERA (40 IP) with 33 K’s and 17 walks - 1.50 WHIP. Was promoted to Jersey Shore 6/27/25.

RH Guissepe Velasquez - Clearwater/FCL Phillies - 22 years old - signed as an international free agent 7/2/19 - Porlamar, Venezuela - posted a 0.53 ERA in 4 appearances (17 IP) with a 0.59 WHIP - 14 K’s and 1 walks - for the season has appeared in 6 games (five with FCL Phillies) with a 0.42 ERA (21.2 IP) with 22 K’s and 3 walks - 0.74 WHIP. Was promoted to Clearwater  6/26/25.

RH Albertt Medina - DSL Phillies White - 17 years old - signed as an international free agent 1/20/25 - Caracas, Venezuela - posted a 0.71 ERA in 5 appearances (12.2 IP) with a 0.79 WHIP.  (DSL plays today - will update stats on website article after game)

LH Zuher Yousuf - FCL Phillies/DSL Phillies White - 19 years old - signed as an international free agent 3/4/24 - El Sombrero, Venezuela - posted a 1.04 ERA in 4 appearances - (1 with FCL Phillies - 17.1 IP total) with a 0.98 WHIP - 23 K’s and just 5 walks - a 0.98 WHIP.
