Reading Fightin Phils pitchers Gage Wood and Wen-Hui Pan have been selected to represent the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2026 MLB All-Star Futures Game on Sunday, July 12, at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. It marks the first Futures Game appearance for both players. Wood, the Phillies’ 2025 first-round pick out of Arkansas, has posted a 3.63 ERA with 75 strikeouts over 52.0 innings in 15 starts between Clearwater and Reading this season. Pan, who joined the Fightins on June 13 after beginning the year on the injured list, owns a 3.32 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 21.2 innings and is a perfect 4-for-4 in save opportunities. The duo joins recent Reading representatives Mick Abel, Justin Crawford and Aidan Miller in the annual showcase of baseball’s top prospects.
