7/13/21 : Phillies 15th Round Draft Pick

The Phillies selected Matt Osterberg , a 22 year old LHP from St Cloud State in the 15th round of the draft today.

Here’s a bit about him.

Osterberg was a strong pitcher for the Huskies this season as he completed his junior year with St. Cloud State University. The left-handed pitcher threw 50 innings this spring and posted a 3.78 ERA with 38 hits and 70 strikeouts.

He also pitched for the Wisconsin Rapids in the Northwest League and posted a 1.93 ERA in 28 IP.
