The Phillies have reached agreements with four un-drafted free agents (UDFA’s).  Their deals are pending completion of physicals after which they will sign contracts.

22 year old 2B Tyler Pettorini (Ohio State University)

“Fourth-year veteran infielder Tyler Pettorini has steadily grown as a hitter in his time at Ohio State. After batting .218 as a freshman, his average jumped to .315 in 2023 and remained north of .300 last season. Pettorini did not sacrifice consistency while showing more power as a junior, either, as he more than doubled his home-run production from four to nine, resulting in a jump in slugging percentage from .490 to .506.” Flobaseball

He played for West Virginia in the Draft League and posted a .327/.389/.469 slash line in 126 plate appearances.

22 year old OF Nate Humphreys (Dallas Baptist University)

“Humphreys grew up in the small town of Midlothian, Texas. His father, Mike, played three seasons in the Major Leagues with the New York Yankees, and his older brothers, Zach and Alec, both went on to play Division I baseball. To say that baseball was an important part of life for the Humphreys family would be an understatement. They even had '330' painted on their fence line, like the foul lines on a baseball diamond.” - DBU profile

He hit .353/.457/.679 this season in 279 plate appearances with 17 home runs and 69 RBIs.

23 year old RHP Keegan Batka (Davenport University)

“Aggressive and athletic at 6-foot-3, 200 pounds, will sit mostly 94 mph and showed late cut with his 4-seamer. He tends to slow his arm on his 83-86 mph change-up, but it did show some sink/tail. He also had some feel for a 76-81 mph slider with fair depth.” - Prep Baseball

“Prior to DU: Spent two seasons at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant...during the 2024 season, went 3-6 with an 8.48 earned run average … logged a team-high 75.1 innings … tied for second in the Mid-American Conference with 91 strikeouts … struck out a career-high 14 in tossing a three-hit gem in 2-0 win over Northern Illinois (April 28)...during the 2023 season, earned All-MAC Second Team honors … second on the team in innings pitched (81) and ERA (3.67) … ERA ranked fifth in the MAC … went 8-3 and tied with teammate Adam Mraktisch for second in the MAC … ranked third among Chippewas with 76 strikeouts … allowed one run on three hits and struck out seven over five innings for the win in his first start as a Chippewa at Baylor (Feb. 19) … delivered a season-high 10 strikeouts in eight innings in a win against Akron (April 23) … named MAC Pitcher of the Week in wake of the win over the Zips...during the 2022 season, pitched at Kellogg Community College and made 10 starts...went 5-3 on the hill with a 4.50 ERA while striking out 60 batters in 52 innings...earned MCCAA Honorable Mention All-Western Conference honors for the Bruins.” - college page at Davenport

He made 45 appearances in his collegiate career - 42 were starts. Threw 84.1 innings this season with a 3.09 ERA with 91 K’s and 20 walks

23 year old RHP Peyton Havard (Lamar University)

“Named second team All-Southland Conference ... Earned Southland Conference Pitcher of the Week on April 14 after he struck out 11 batters in five innings of relief to help LU notch a 5-4 10-inning victory over Nicholls on April 11 ... Havard went 7-2 with a 2.73 ERA in 22 appearances and five starts with a 1.07 WHIP, five saves and 79 strikeouts in 62.2 innings pitched ... Havard's game-high of 11 strikeouts were recorded twice against the University of Albany (Feb. 21) and Nicholls (April 11) ... Havard ranked third in the Southland Conference in ERA, sixth in opposing batting average (.220), third in strikeouts, tied for third in wins and fifth in saves.” - college page at Lamar

He pitched in 63 collegiate games - 14 starts. Posted a 2.69 ERA this season in 63.2 IP with 79 K’s and 15 walks over 22 games - 5 starts.
