To complete the trade for INF CJ Chatham the Phillies today traded RHP Victor Santos to the Red Sox. Santos walks across the field in Reading to join the Portland Sea Dogs which is where the Red Sox have assigned him.
Victor is 21 years old and is having a very good season. Between Jersey Shore and Reading he’s 3-2 with a 2.20 ERA in 13 games ( 41 IP ) with a 1.05 WHIP. He just pitched against his new teammates on Portland on 7/14.
We wish Victor well as he continues his pro career. He’s a true bulldog on the mound, the Red Sox got a good one.
