Miami :
The Miami Marlins have signed Infielder Logan Forsythe and will add him to their active roster. Forsythe trained with the Phillies this spring and in summer camp.
Yesterday the Marlins claimed ex Phillie RHP Mike Morin off waivers from the Brewers ... Miami also put in waiver claims on RHP Justin Shafer and LHP Josh Smith from the Reds
According to reports all of the Marlins players at their alternate camp in Jupiter, FL tested negative for COVID on Tuesday ... amongst those players are ex Phillies RHP Sixto Sanchez and RHP Nick Vincent ... they could be added to the active roster to replace Marlins players impacted by the virus

Phillies :
Shortstop Arquimedes Gamboa cleared waivers yesterday and was assigned outright to the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs roster. Gamboa had been designated for assignment from the 40 man roster on 7/24 to make room for additions made to the opening day list.

Other Stuff :
As I previously noted on my Facebook page the Nationals signed UTL Josh Harrison on 7/27, the Red Sox claimed RHP Robert Stock on 7/26 and the White Sox added Infielder Ryan Goins to their roster on 7/27 ... Goins has minor league ties to the Phillies and both Harrison and Stock trained with the Phillies this spring and summer.
For the second consecutive day all Phillies COVID tests for players and staff members have come back negative ... 👏👌⚾️
If tests for the balance of the week remain negative the Phillies will resume play on Saturday against Toronto with a double header rather than Friday allowing for five days of isolation after exposure as according to MLB protocol
