International League ( AAA ) - Lehigh Valley 3 (16-10, 52-47) Syracuse 2 (9-17, 42-58)

Allentown, PA - Coca-Cola Park


Summary :


Syracuse scored a run in the second inning on a single, walk and single.


Dustin Peterson hit a home run in the bottom of the second.


Cal Stevenson hit a home run in the third inning.


Syracuse scored a run in the sixth inning on a walk and double.


Darick Hall walked in the seventh inning, moved to second on a ground out and scored on a double by Kody Clemens.


On the Hill :


Nick Nelson pitched five innings, one run, five hits, two walks, seven strikeouts.  Braden Zarbnisky pitched an inning, one run, one hit, two walks, three strikeouts. Ben Bowden went an inning, no runs, one hit, one walk, two strikeouts. Luis Ortiz pitched a perfect frame, two strikeouts.  Andrew Bellatti pitched a scoreless ninth inning to close out the win.


At the Bat :


Dustin Peterson (single & HR) and Kody Clemens (single & double) each had two hits.   Cal Stevenson homered.

Summary :


Binghamton scored three runs in the first inning on a solo home run (Rowdey Jordan), two doubles and a single.


Jhailyn Ortiz hit a home run in the second inning.


A single, wild pitch and single scored a run for Binghamton in the fifth inning.


Cam Cannon hit a home run in the sixth inning.  Ethan Wilson doubled and scored on a single by Jhailyn Ortiz.


On the Hill :


Zach Haake went four innings, four runs, eight hits, one walk, six strikeouts.  Matt Seelinger retired all five batters he faced, three by strikeout.  Andrew Baker pitched a perfect inning, two strikeouts. Carlos Francisco pitched an inning, no runs, one hit, no walks, one strikeout.  Keylan Killgore struck out the side in the ninth inning, no runs, two hits.


At the Bat :


Jhailyn Ortiz had two hits (single and home run). Max McDowell hit two singles.  Cam Cannon homered. Pedro Martinez and Ethan Wilson doubled.

Game One :  Jersey Shore 3 Aberdeen 2 - ten innings


Summary :


Completion of suspended game from 7/29


Three singles scored a run for Aberdeen in the first inning.


Hao Yu Lee doubled in the bottom of the first inning, he scored on a single by Gabriel Rincones Jr.


The game went into lightning and rain relay at 8:15 PM in the top of the fourth inning tied at one apiece.  It was eventually suspended.


The game was resumed today :


Gabriel Rincones Jr homered in the bottom of the fourth inning.


Aberdeen scored a sixth inning run on a single, stolen base and single.


The game went into extra innings tied at two apiece.


Aberdeen scored the placed runner in the top of the 10th with a stolen base and sac fly.


Nick Ward was the pinch runner placed runner in the bottom of the 10th.  Jared Carr singled to score him. Andrick Nava doubled to send him to third base, Wilfredo Flores reached base on a fielding error to load the sacks.  Carr scored the walk off game winning run on a wild pitch.


On the Hill :


Rafael Marcano started and went three and two third innings, one run, four hits, three walks, three strikeouts.  Matt Russell pitched one and one third innings, no runs, one hit, one walk, no strikeouts. Malik Binns pitched 2/3 of an inning, one run on two hits, one walk, one strikeout.  Tristan Garnett went one and one third innings, no runs, no hits, one walk, two strikeouts. Jordi Martinez pitched an inning, no runs, no hits, one walk, one strikeout.


At the Bat :


Gabriel Rincones Jr had two hits (single & HR) as did Jared Carr (single & double).  Hao Yu Lee and Andrik Nava doubled.



Game Two : Jersey Shore 4 Aberdeen 1


Summary :


Aberdeen scored a first inning run on a couple singles and a ground out.


Anthony Quirion doubled in the second inning, he scored on a single by Leandro Pineda.  Erick Brito doubled to score Pineda.  Hao Yu Lee hit a two run home run.


On the Hill :


Rodolfo Sanchez opened by pitching an inning, one run, two hits, one walk.  Carlos Betancourt pitched two innings, no runs, two hits, two walks, five strikeouts.  Jack Dallas pitched a perfect inning, one strikeout.  Jason Ruffcorn pitched an inning, no runs, one hit.  Konnor Ash finished it, one inning, no runs, one hit, one walk, one strikeout.


At the Bat :


Hao Yu Lee hit a two run home run and walked twice, Anthony Quirion and Marcus Lee Sang doubled.



Florida State League ( Low A ) - Clearwater 3 (21-9, 65-30) Jupiter 1 (14-16, 49-47)

Jupiter, FL - The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches


Summary :


A single and double (rehabbing major leaguer Jazz Chisholm Jr) scored a Jupiter run in the third inning.


Cade Fergus homered in the sixth inning.


Felix Reyes walked in the ninth inning, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by William Bergolla.

Bergolla advanced to second base on a throwing error and scored on a single by Chad Castillo.


On the Hill :


Eiberson Castellano went three innings, one run, two hits, one walk, three strikeouts.  Braeden Fausnaught pitched three innings, no runs, two hits, one walk, three strikeouts.  Danny Wilkinson pitched two perfect innings with four strikeouts - he had a stellar month of July - 0.59 ERA in 8 appearances - 15 1/3 IP - a whopping 33 K’s 😳👀🔥. Wen Hui Pan pitched a scoreless ninth inning, one walk, two strikeouts.


At the Bat :


Cade Fergus had two hits (single & HR).

Starlyn Caba started at second base and went one for two and Eduardo Tait (0 for 1) at Catcher  for the National League.   Luis Gonzalez pitched a scoreless inning.
