Mendez to Minnesota : Former Fightin Phils outfielder Hendry Mendez was apart of the trade on Thursday that acquired Harrison Bader from the Minnesota Twins. Menez launched his eighth home run of the season on Tuesday night, a grand slam in the top of the ninth inning. It was the second grand slam of Mendez’ career, with the last coming on May 20, 2022, with Carolina (A) in the Brewers’ system. The 21-year old’s grand slam was the third hit by a Fightin Phil this season, with the othertwo coming from Trent Farquhar on May 10 at Binghamton and Cade Fergus on July 10 at Chesapeake. Fitting in Just Fine…Aroon Escobar drove in the game winning runs with a 2-run single in the 7th inning on Wednesday, breaking a 3-3 tie to give the BlueClaws a 5-3 win…He had his second 2-hit game with the BlueClaws on Tuesday and is 15-62, 8 RBIs with Jersey Shore…He drove in three runs in the win on July 18th against Hudson Valley…Escobar is the #4 prospect in the

Phillies system per MLB Pipeline, and joined the BlueClaws from Clearwater on July 8th…Escobar was hitting .285 with 11 home runs, 42 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases with the Threshers…At the time of his promotion, Escobar was 6th in the FSL in average, T1st (with teammate Eduardo Tait) in home runs, 5th in RBIs, 1st in hits (78), and 1st in runs (52). Hit .360 with five home runs
