Bringing the Strikeouts : After Griff McGarry struck out 11 batters on Thursday night, Estibenzon Jimenez followed by matching a career-high with 10 strikeouts on Friday. It was the first time Reading had starting pitchers strike out 10+ batters in back-to-back games since Moises Chace (10) and Eiberson Castellano (11) did it on Aug. 24-25, 2024, at Binghamton. Led by McGarry, Reading’s staff has 18 strikeouts on Thursday night, their most in a game since also striking out 18 against Erie on Sept. 5, 2024.
