Another one of my favorite minor leaguers got the call that each of the fellas work so very hard for ... he’s being promoted to the show.
Here’s a capsule of what I wrote about Connor this off-season ...
Drafted 10th Round - 2017 Draft - Lewis Clark State ( Idaho) ... 25 years old ... In 2019 was promoted twice and compiled a 6-2 record with a 2.61 ERA in 76 IP with 106 K’s and 24 BB for Clearwater/Reading/Lehigh Valley ... In only his second full season of professional baseball he’s 14-6 with a 2.50 ERA in 98 games ( 180 IP ) with 230 K’s ... A multi inning reliever who can pop the mitt in the 94-98 range, change up as his primary secondary offering - it’s excellent ... slider as a third pitch ... From my perspective he’s got the arsenal to pitch in the show in the not so distant future ... expect him in 2020.
We congratulate Connor, his parents Mike and Stephanie and all of his family and friends for this very deserved promotion ! Look forward to continuing to cheer him on ... now as a big leaguer !
