International League ( AAA ) - Lehigh Valley 9 (24-14, 60-51) Rochester 7 (19-20, 53-59) - ten innings

Rochester, NY - Innovative Field


Summary :


Esteban Quiroz doubled in the second inning, went to third on a single by Scott Kingery and scored on a sac fly by Cal Stevenson.


Drew Ellis homered in the fourth inning.


An error, walk and sac fly scored a Rochester run in the bottom of the fourth.


Rochester scored four runs in the 5th inning, three on a home run by Travis Blankenhorn.


Darick Hall homered in the seventh inning. Cristian Pache and Simon Muzziotti singled, Drew Ellis doubled to score a run. Esteban Quiroz hit a sac fly to score a run.  Scott Kingery walked, Max McDowell singled to score two runs.


Rochester scored two runs on two walks, two hits and a sac fly in the 8th inning.


The game went into extra innings tied at seven.


Jim Haley was the placed runner in the top of the 10th, Cristian Pache walked.  They both moved up on a ground out.  Esteban Quiroz singled with two outs to score them.



On the Hill :


Tyler Phillips pitched five innings, five runs - four earned, five hits, one walk, five strikeouts.  T.J. Zeuch pitched an inning, no runs, one hit, no walks, one strikeout.  Andrew Bellatti pitched an inning, no runs, one hit, one strikeout.  Connor Brogdon went 1/3 of an inning, two runs, two hits, two walks. Taylor Lehman finished the 8th, 2/3 of an inning, one walk, one strikeout.  Tyler McKay posted the win by pitching two innings, no runs, one hit, two walks and one strikeout, he pitched out of a bases loaded one out jam in the 10th inning. 👀.


At the Bat :


Esteban Quiroz, Drew Ellis and Simon Muzziotti each had three hits, Darick Hall and Cristian Pache had two apiece.  Quiroz, Muzziotti and Rafael Marchan each doubled. Ellis and Hall homered.  Quiroz had three RBIs, Ellis had two.

Summary :


Madison Stokes tripled to lead off the game, he scored on a throwing error.


New Hampshire scored three runs in the third inning on five singles and a sac fly.


Pedro Martinez and Carlos De La Cruz singled in the 5th inning, Oliver Dunn walked.  Robbie Glendinning walked to score a run. Ethan Wilson and Jhailyn Ortiz each walked to score two runs.


Ethan Wilson doubled in the 7th inning, Jhailyn Ortiz singled.  Wilson scored on a ground out by Baron Radcliff.  Cody Roberts singled and stole second base, he scored on a single by Madison Stokes.


Robbie Glendinning reached on an error in the 8th inning, advanced on a ground out and scored on a single by Jhailyn Ortiz.


Madison Stokes walked in the ninth inning and scored on a double by Carlos De La Cruz.


On the Hill :


Matt Osterberg went five and two third innings, three runs, six hits, three walks, six strikeouts.  Tristan Garnett retired all four batters he faced, three by strikeout.  Dominic Pipkin went 2/3 of an inning, no runs, one walk, two strikeouts.  Max Kuhns retired the only batter he faced.  Orion Kerkering closed it with a perfect inning, one strikeout.


At the Bat :


Madison Stokes had three hits (two singles and triple) as did Jhailyn Ortiz (singles).  Robbie Glendinning hit two doubles and Cody Roberts had two singles, Carlos De La Cruz singled and doubled.  Ethan Wilson doubled.  Stokes also walked twice.

Game One :  Jersey Shore 12 Hudson Valley 10


Summary : completion of suspended game from 8/12


Hudson Valley scored four runs in the first inning on a walk, double and three singles.


Rixon Wingrove walked and Otto Kemp singled in the second inning, Leandro Pineda hit a three run home run.


The game went into rain delay with one out in the top of the second inning.  The delay was about an hour before play resumed.


A single, double and single scored two runs for Hudson Valley in the second.


Gabriel Rincones Jr homered in the third inning.


The game went into a second rain delay at the end of the fourth inning.   The game was eventually suspended with Hudson Valley leading 6-4.


The contest picked up at this point today.


Cade Fergus walked to start the 5th, Marcus Lee Sang homered.  Gabriel Rincones Jr  went back to back for his second home run of the game.


Hudson Valley scored a run in the bottom of the 5th on a double, stolen base and sac fly.


Cade Fergus was hit by a pitch to start the seventh, Marcus Lee Sang singled, Gabriel Rincones Jr walked.  Rixon Wingrove walked to score a run.  Caleb Ricketts singled to score a run and Otto Kemp hit a sac fly to plate another.


Christopher Familia hit a three run home run for Hudson Valley in the 8th inning.


Gabriel Rincones Jr singled in the 9th, went to third on a walk and ground out and scored on a single by Otto Kemp.  Leandro Pineda doubled to score a run.


On the Hill :


Christian McGowan started and went an inning, four runs, four hits, one walk.  Carlos Betancourt pitched two innings, two runs, four hits, no walks, two strikeouts. Konnor Ash pitched three innings, one run, three hits, one walk, five strikeouts. Jordi Martinez pitched one and one third innings, three runs, three hits, three walks, two strikeouts.  Rodolfo Sanchez finished by retiring all five batters he faced, one strikeout.


At the Bat :


Gabriel Rincones Jr had three hits (single and two home runs), Marcus Lee Sang had two hits (single & HR).  Otto Kemp had two hits and two RBIs. Leandro Pineda doubled and homered and had four RBIs. Rixon Wingrove doubled.



Game Two : Jersey Shore 6 Hudson Valley 1


Summary :


Marcus Lee Sang doubled in the first inning, went to third on a single by Gabriel Rincones Jr and scored on a throwing error when Rincones Jr stole second.  Kendall Simmons tripled to score a run.


A double and single scored a run for Hudson Valley in the fourth inning.


Jared Carr walked and Erick Brito singled in the seventh, Marcus Lee Sang singled to score a run. Gabriel Rincones Jr hit a three run home run.


On the Hill :


Rafael Marcano pitched four and one third innings, one run, four hits, two walks, five strikeouts. Jack Dallas pitched one and two third scoreless innings, no hits, one walk, one strikeout.  Jason Ruffcorn closed it, one inning, no runs, one hit, one strikeout.


At the Bat :


Marcus Lee Sang and Gabriel Rincones Jr each had two hits.  Otto Kemp doubled, Kendall Simmons tripled and Rincones Jr homered.



Florida State League ( Low A )  Tampa 11 (21-21, 52-56) Clearwater 5 (27-16, 71-36)

Tampa, FL - George M Steinbrenner Field


Summary :


Emaarion Boyd walked to lead off the game, went to third on a single by Felix Reyes and scored on a single by Zach Arnold.


A walk and a double scored a run for Tampa in the first inning.  A walk, wild pitch and single scored a run in the second.  A walk and three singles score two in the third.


Felix Reyes singled in the 5th inning, went to second on a balk and scored when Zach Arnold reached on an error. Bryson Ware hit a two run home run.


Tampa scored five runs in the bottom of the fifth on an error, walk, three singles and a double.


The Threshers loaded the bases in the sixth on two walks and a hit batter, a run scored on a ground out.


Two doubles and a single  scored two runs for Tampa in the eighth.


On the Hill :


Eiberson Castellano went two and two third innings, four runs, five hits, three walks, two strikeouts. Braeden Fausnaught pitched one and two third innings, five runs - four earned, four hits, one walk, one strikeout.  Daniel Harper pitched an inning and two third innings, no runs, two hits, one walk. Yoniel Ramirez pitched an inning, no runs, no hits, one walk, two strikeouts.  John Henriquez pitched an inning, two runs, three hits, one walk, two strikeouts.


At the Bat :


Felix Reyes, Zach Arnold and Chad Castillo each had two hits. Bryson Ware homered.
