Bryce Harper produced a walk off single to score Roman Quinn ( singled ) in the bottom of the ninth after the Mets had tied the game with two outs in the top of the inning.


Offensive Standouts :


Philadelphia :


Roman Quinn and Andrew McCutchen each had two hits. JT Realmuto hit his 8th home run of the season - a three run tally. Harper had the game winning knock.


New York :


Luis Guillorme had three hits. Robinson Cano and Dominic Smith had two hits each and both homered. Brandon Nimmo scored twice.


Pitching Performances:


The Phillies bullpen ( 5 pitchers ) pitched 5 2/3 innings - 1 R, 5 H, 3 BB, 6 K’s ... Hector Neris blew the save with two outs in the ninth ... the only blemish on a very good night for the relievers.

Orioles 6 ( 11-7 ) Nationals 2 ( 6-10 ) - Completion of Suspended Game -8/9


Offensive Standouts :


Baltimore :


Hanser Alberto had two hits and two RBIs. Bryan Holaday also had two hits and two RBIs. Anthony Santander had two RBIs as well.


Washington :


Starlin Castro hit a two run home run.

Nationals 15 ( 7-10 ) Orioles 3 ( 11-8 )


Offensive Standouts :


Washington :


The Nationals pounded out nineteen hits and scored eight runs in the last two innings of the game. Trea Turner had three hits and six teammates ( Adam Eaton, Juan Soto, Luis Garcia - MLB debut, Carter Kieboom, Yan Gomes and Victor Robles ) had two hits each. Asdrubel Cabrera homered.


Baltimore :


Anthony Santander hit his 5th home run of the season and Hanser Alberto stroked his tenth double.


Pitching Performances:


Erick Fedde of the Nationals pitched 5 1/3 scoreless innings of relief allowing two hits and three walks.


Injury News :


Washington lost Infielder Starlin Castro to a broken wrist suffered in the earlier game ... he’s been placed on the IL ... rookie Luis Garcia replaced him on the active roster. RHP Stephen Strasburg left this game after only 2/3 of an inning with a nerve issue in his right hand.

Blue Jays 12 ( 7-9 ) Rays 4 ( 12-9 )


The Blue Jays hit six home runs ... I think they like playing in Buffalo!


Offensive Standouts :


Toronto :


Teoscar Hernandez had three hits including two home runs and four RBIs ... he scored twice. Bo Bichette and Rowdy Tellez each had two hits ... both hit home runs. Cavan Biggio homered and scored three runs. Randall Grichuk homered.


Tampa :


Brandon Lowe had two hits including a home run and three RBIs. Willy Adames had two doubles. Austin Meadows walked twice and scored two runs.

Offensive Standouts :

New York :


Gleyber Torres went 4 for 4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Mike Tauchman had three hits and four RBIs. DJ LeMahieu had two more hits upping his average to .429.

Gary Sanchez homered.


Boston :


Alex Verdugo hit his fourth home run of the season.


Pitching Performances:


New York’s Gerritt Cole went seven innings ( 1 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 8 K’s ) to improve to 4-0 on the season.

Offensive Standouts :


Cleveland :


Franmil Reyes had two hits including a home run, three RBIs and scored three runs. Domingo Santana hit a three run home run. Tyler Naquin tripled and had three RBIs.


Detroit :


Jeimer Candelario had two hits including a triple. Victor Reyes also had two hits. Nikko Goodrum hit a two run home run and Cameron Maybin homered.


Pitching Performances:


Cleveland’s Aaron Civale went six innings ( 4 R, 8 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s ) for the win.

Cincinatti :


Jesse Winker hit two home runs and drove in three. Nick Castellenos hit a three run home run in the seventh inning. Freddy Galvis and Joey Votto each had two hits.


Pittsburgh :


Cole Tucker had two hits. Bryan Reynolds homered.


Pitching Performances:


The Reds Sonny Gray went 6 2/3 ( 1 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 10 K’s ) ... he’s now 4-1

Offensive Standouts :


Miami :


Jon Berti had two hits and stole home on the backend of a double steal. Jonathan Villar and Francisco Cervelli each had two hits. Jesus Aguilar had three RBIs giving him 15 for the season.


Atlanta :


Travis d’Arnaud , Freddie Freeman and Adam Duvall each had two hits. d’arnaud homered.


Pitching Performances:


Miami’s Pablo Lopez went six innings ( 2 R, 7 H, 0 BB, 8 K’s ) and three relievers pitched shutout ball behind him.

Offensive Standouts :


Milwaukee :


The team had just five hits but Christian Yelich delivered a three run home run in the sixth inning.


Chicago :


Jason Heyward had two of the team’s six hits.


Pitching Performances:


Milwaukee’s bullpen ( Freddy Peralta - 2 IP, Devin Williams - 1 1/3 and Josh Hader - 1 1/3 ) pitched shutout baseball and struck out eleven batters in the fourteen outs they recorded 😳.

Offensive Standouts :


Texas :


Nick Solak had three of the team’s six hits including a double and home run.


Colorado :


The Rockies were held to two singles ( Garrett Hampson and Trevor Story ).


Pitching Performances:

The Ranger’s Lance Lynn went old school and tossed a complete game ( 9 IP, 2 R - 1 earned, 2 H, 0 BB, 6 K’s ) to up his record to 3-0. The veteran hurler lowers his ERA to 1.11 in 32 1/3 IP.

Astros 11 ( 9-10 ) Mariners 1 ( 7-14 )


Houston scored nine runs in the first inning.


Offensive Standouts :


Houston :


Yordan Alvarez in his first game of the season homered and had four RBIs as the DH. Josh Reddick had three hits. George Springer walked twice, singled and scored three runs. Yuli Gurriel had two hits including a home run.


Seattle :


Tim Lopes had two of the team’s six hits.


Pitching Performances:


Lefty Framber Valdez picked up the win ( 6 IP, 1 R, 4 H, 3 BB, 5 K’s ) for the Astros.

Offensive Standouts :


Los Angeles Dodgers :


Cody Bellinger hit two home runs and drove in four runs. Justin Turner and Austin Barnes had two hits apiece.


Los Angeles Angels :


Anthony Rendon hit his fifth home run of the season.


Pitching Performances:


Clayton Kershaw went seven innings ( 1 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 6 K’s ) for the win.

Offensive Standouts :


Arizona :


Leadoff hitter Kole Calhoun had two hits, homered and delivered two RBIs. Starling Marte doubled and walked and David Peralta had two knocks.


San Diego :


Trent Grisham had two hits.


Pitching Performances:


Arizona’s Merrill Kelly continues to shine ... he went 6 2/3 shutout frames ( 3 H, 2 BB, 7 K’s ) for his third win ... ERA is now 1.71 in 26 1/3 IP.


The Padres Dinelson Lamet went six strong innings ( 1 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 8 K’s ) ... his ERA is now 1.59 in 28 1/3 IP.

A’s 8 ( 14-6 ) Giants 7 ( 8-13 ) - 10 innings


The visiting A’s scored five runs in the top of the ninth inning to tie the game and one in the tenth to win it.


Offensive Standouts :


Oakland :


Stephen Piscotty hit a three run home run in the ninth inning and had two knocks with four RBIs in the game. Marcus Semien had two hits and Matt Olson hit a solo home run in the ninth inning. Mark Canha hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth to score the eventual game winning run.


San Francisco :


Wilmer Flores delivered four hits. Evan Longoria had two hits including a home run and three RBIs. Mauricio Dubon had two hits. Hunter Pence hit a three run home run and Mike Yastrzemski homered.

Pitching Performances:


Johnny Cueto went seven innings for the Giants ( 2 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 5 K’s )
