Philadelphia:


Didi Gregorius had three hits ( double and two infield singles ) and Rhys Hoskins hit a bases loaded double for three RBIs.


New York :


Dominic Smith had two hits ... a double and a two run home run, his 6th of the season.


Pitching Performances:


Aaron Nola went seven shutout innings ( 3 H, 2 BB, 8 K’s ) ... Ramon Rosso finished with 2 IP ... 2 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s

Cardinals 5 ( 3-3 ) WhiteSox 1 ( 10-10 ) - Game One - Seven Innings


St. Louis played for the first time in seventeen days ...


Offensive Standouts :


St. Louis :


Dexter Fowler had two hits and two RBIs. Andrew Knizner had two hits including a double.


Chicago :


Danny Mendick had two of the White Sox three hits in the game.


Pitching Performances:


Adam Wainwright went five innings ( 1 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 3 K’s ) for the win. Wainwright moved to third place all time in Cardinals history for wins. Giovanny Gallergos struck out the side in a perfect inning of relief and John Gant struck out two batters in the seventh to close out the game.

Cardinals 6 ( 4-3 ) WhiteSox 3 ( 10-11 ) - Game Two - Seven Innings


Offensive Standouts :


St. Louis :


Paul Goldschmidt, Tyler O’Neill and Max Schrock ( MLB debut ) each had two hits. Goldschmidt and O’Neill homered.


Chicago :


Eloy Jimenez had two of the White Sox three hits. Jimenez and Luis Robert homered.

Twins 4 ( 13-7 ) Royals 2 ( 8-12 ) - Game One - Seven Innings


Offensive Standouts :


Minnesota :


Nelson Cruz doubled and homered ( 5th ) driving in two runs and scoring twice. Jorge Polanco and Luis Arraez each had two hits.


Kansas City :


Maikel Franco had two hits including a two run home run, his 5th of the season.


Pitching Performances:


Taylor Rogers notched his 5th save of the season with a scoreless seventh inning.

Royals 4 ( 9-12 ) Twins 2 ( 13-8 ) - Game Two - Seven Innings


Offensive Standouts :


Kansas City :


Whit Merrifield went 3 for 4 with a double and three run home run. He had four RBIs in total. Nicky Lopez and Cam Gallagher each had two hits.


Minnesota :


Nelson Cruz hit his sixth home run of the season.


Pitching Performances:


KC’s Danny Duffy went five innings ( 2 R - 1 earned, 2 H, 1 BB, 8 K’s ) ... Josh Staumont and Trevor Rosenthal each pitched a perfect inning with five K’s ... Rosenthal struck out the side.

Brewers 6 ( 9-10 ) Cubs 5 ( 13-5 ) - 10 Innings


The Brewers scored twice in the top of the 10th and held on - Avisail Garcia doubled to plate the placed runner and Luis Urias singled to score Garcia.


Offensive Standouts :


Milwaukee :


Luis Urias had three hits and two RBIs. Ryan Braun had two RBIs and Avisail Garcia had two hits.


Chicago :


Anthony Rizzo had three hits including a double and home run. Ian Happ had two hits. Steven Souza Jr hit a pinch hit home run.

Indians 3 ( 12-9 ) Tigers 1 ( 9-9 )


With the victory the Indians now have defeated the Tigers 19 straight games dating back to 4/19/19. It’s the longest team winning streak against one team in franchise history.


Offensive Standouts :


Cleveland :


Jose Ramirez had two hits including a double, two walks, two RBIs and scored a run.


Detroit :


Jonathan Schoop and Jacoby Jones each doubled ... two of the team’s four hit total.


Pitching Performances:


Cleveland’s Shane Bieber went seven shutout innings ( 3 H, 1 BB, 11 K’s ) to improve to 4-0 on the season. He’s struck out 54 batters in 34 2/3 IP and has a 1.30 ERA 😳

Braves 2 ( 12-10 ) Marlins 1 ( 9-5 )


All three runs in the game scored on solo home runs.


Offensive Standouts :


Atlanta :


Marcel Ozuna hit a 7th inning home run and Adam Duvall hit a ninth inning home run off the left field fair pole that turned out to be the game winner.


Miami :


Monte Harrison hit his first major league home run in the 8th inning. Pinch Hitter Lewin Diaz in his first major league AB singled in the 9th inning.


Pitching Performances:


Atlanta’s Max Fried was outstanding once game - 6 1/3 IP, 0 R, 4 H, 3 BB, 7 K’s ... Mark Melancon picked up his 4th save with a one hit ninth inning ... he’s 15 for 15 in save opportunities in a Braves uniform.


Daniel Castano pitched very well for Miami - 6 IP, 1 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s/

Rays 1 Blue Jays 0 - 4th inning - game suspended - rain


The two teams will pick up the action tomorrow before their regularly scheduled game. The scheduled game for Sunday will now be a seven inning contest.

A’s 7 ( 15-6 ) Giants 6 ( 8-14 )


Oakland scored four runs in the top of the ninth inning keyed by a Mark Canha two out three run home run against Giants closer Trevor Gott ... the second night in a row Gott blew a save in the ninth inning.


Offensive Standouts :


Oakland :


Mark Canha had three hits and three RBIs ... Sean Murphy hit a pinch hit home run in the ninth inning. Marcus Semien hit a two run home run and Matt Olson homered. Tony Kemp had three hits


San Francisco :


Darin Ruf hit a three run home run ... his first HR as a Giant. Wilmer Flores had two hits. Mike Yastrzemski tripled and had two RBIs.


Pitching Performances:


The Giants Kevin Gausman went 5 2/3 innings ( 3 R, 5 H, 3 BB, 11 K’s )

Offensive Standouts :


New York :


Clint Frazier had three hits including a double and home run and posted five RBIs. Gleyber Torres had two hits and Gio Urshela and Gary Sanchez each homered.


Boston :


Four players had two hits apiece ( Alex Verdugo, JD Martinez, Rafael Devers and Jackie Bradley Jr ). Xander Bogaerts homered as did Verdugo.


Injury News :


The Yankees DJ LeMahieu left the game with a sprained left thumb.

Astros 2 ( 10-10 ) Mariners 1 ( 7-15 )


Offensive Standouts :


Houston :


Yuli Gurriel doubled and homered. Alex Bregman had two hits including a double.


Seattle :


Evan White homered ... the Mariners were held to three total hits.


Pitching Performances:


Houston’s Christian Javier pitched six shutout innings ( 1 H, 3 BB, 5 K’s ) to earn his second win. Three relievers closed it out behind him.

Offensive Standouts :


Baltimore :


Jose Iglesias had three hits. Hanser Alberto had two hits including his 11th double and two RBIs ... Andrew Velazquez had two hits. Rio Ruiz homered.


Washington :


Trea Turner had three hits including a home run. Juan Soto hit a two run home run.


Pitching Performances:


The Baltimore bullpen was dominant .. Tanner Scott went 1 2/3 scoreless, Mychal Givens pitched an inning - hasn’t given up a run in 8 games this season and Cole Slusser went 1 1/3 scoreless for his fifth save.

Diamondbacks 7 ( 10-11 ) Padres 6 ( 11-11 )


Offensive Standouts :


Arizona :


Carson Kelly had three hits while Ketel Marte, Christian Walker and Nick Ahmed had two hits apiece. Ahmed had three RBIs.


San Diego :


Fernando Tatis Jr and Eric Hosmer each hit home runs. They each had two hits as did Jurickson Profar. Tatis now has nine home runs for the season.

Offensive Standouts :


Texas :


Shin-Soo Choo had three hits and two RBIs ... Derek Dietrich hit a three run home run and Elvis Andrus and Jose Trevino each had two hits.


Colorado :


Trevor Story had two doubles and a triple. Ryan McMahon and Tony Wolters each had two hits.


Pitching Performances:


Kyle Gibson went 6 1/3 innings ( 2 R, 7 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s ). Rafael Montero saved his fifth game.


German Marquez pitched six innings ( 3 R - 2 earned, 9 H, 2 BB, 3 K’s )

Chris Taylor became the placed runner in the top of the tenth ... he stole third base and then scored on a sac fly for the game winning run.


Dodgers 6 ( 15-7 ) Angels 5 ( 7-14 ) - 10 Innings


Offensive Standouts :


Dodgers :


Mookie Betts had two hits and three RBIs including a home run. AJ Pollock and Cody Bellinger each had two hits. Max Muncy had three RBIs including hitting a sac fly for the eventual game winner.

Angels :


David Fletcher and Tommy La Stella each had two hits. Mike Trout hit his 9th home run of the season and had three RBIs.
