Philadelphia :


JT Realmuto had three hits including a double. Bryce Harper, Alec Bohm and Scott Kingery had two hits apiece. Andrew McCutchen hit a three run home run.


New York :


Robinson Cano and JD Davis had two hits each.

Pitching Performances :


Zack Wheeler improved to 3-0 by pitching seven innings ( 2 R, 6 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s ). Adam Morgan pitched 1 1/3 scoreless frames and Hector Neris 2/3 scoreless innings behind him.

Offensive Standouts :


Tampa :


Brandon Lowe hit a home run in the top of the ninth inning for the difference, his 7th dinger of the year. Lowe had three hits in the game including a double. Manuel Margot and Yandy Diaz had two hits each. Austin Meadows homered.


Toronto :


Teoscar Hernandez, Randal Grichuk and Rowdy Tellez each had two hits.

Offensive Standouts :


Tampa :


Willy Adames hit a two run home run in the extra inning. Yoshi Tsutsugo had two hits and hit a three run home run, the other hit was a double. Kevin Kiermaier had two knocks.


Toronto :


Vladimir Guerrero Jr and Randal Grichuk each had two hits including a home run. Anthony Alford homered.

Washington :


Juan Soto had two hits, walked twice and scored three runs. Carter Kieboom had two RBI’s.


Baltimore :


Pedro Severino had three hits including a three run home run. Anthony Santander hit two home runs.


Pitching Performances :


Washington’s Max Scherzer went seven innings and struck out ten batters ... he was tagged for four runs in his last inning of work when Baltimore tied the game. Tanner Rainey struck out the side in a dominant eighth inning and Daniel Hudson earned his fourth save with two strikeouts in the ninth inning.

Cleveland won their 20th consecutive game against Detroit.


Offensive Standouts :


Cleveland :


The Indians hit five home runs ( Franmil Reyes -2, Francisco Lindor, Jose Ramirez, Sandy Leon ) ... Lindor ( 2 doubles ) and Reyes each had three hits. DeLino DeShields Jr had two hits.


Detroit :


Harold Castro had three hits and scored twice. Miguel Cabrera and Jeimer Candelario had two hits apiece.

Offensive Standouts :


Atlanta :


Nick Markakis had two hits and three RBIs. Dansby Swanson had two hits. Marcel Ozuna walked twice, had a hit and RBI.


Pitching Performances :


Five Atlanta hurlers ( Robbie Erlin ( 4 IP ), Darren O’Day ( 1 1/3 IP ), AJ Minter (2/3 IP ), Shane Greene ( 2 IP) and Tyler Matzek ( 1 IP ) combined on the two hit shutout.

Houston :


Kyle Tucker hit a walk off home run. Martin Maldonado had two hits.


Seattle :


Kyle Lewis had two of his team’s four hits.


Pitching Performances :


Houston’s Lance McCullers Jr went 5 2/3 innings ( 2 R, 3 H, 3 BB, 7 K’s ) ... four relievers pitched one hit ball behind him with Ryan Pressly picking up the win.


Justus Sheffield pitched six strong innings for the Mariners ( 2 R - 1 earned, 6 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s )

Offensive Standouts :


Minnesota :


Max Kepler had two hits ( including a HR ) and two RBIs. Luis Arraez had two hits.


Kansas City :


Hunter Dozier and Alex Gordon each hit solo home runs. KC had just five hits in the game.


Pitching Performances :


The Twins Randy Dobnak went 5 1/3 innings ( 2 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s ) to up his record to 4-1. Four relievers ( Tyler Clippard ( 2/3 IP ), Trevor May ( 1 IP), Taylor Rogers ( 1 IP ) and Sergio Romo ( 1 IP ) tossed two hit baseball behind him with Romo recording his third save.

White Sox 7 ( 11-11 ) Cardinals 2 ( 4-4 )


The White Sox made history by hitting four consecutive home runs in the fifth inning ... Yoan Moncada, Yasmani Grandal, Jose Abreu and Eloy Jimenez

Chicago :


Jimenez had two hits, Moncada three RBI’s and Tim Anderson scored twice.


St. Louis :


Matt Carpenter had two RBIs


Pitching Performances :


Dallas Keuchel went 5 2/3 innings for the White Sox ( 2 R, 4 H, 2 BB, 1 K ) for the win. Jimmy Cordero ( 1 1/3 IP ), Matt Foster ( 1 IP ) and Ross Detweiler ( 1 IP ) tossed two hit baseball the rest of the way.


Other Notes :


The Cardinals had seven players make their major league debut in the series.

Milwaukee :


Orlando Arcia and Luis Urias had three hits each ... Arcia hit a two run home run. Urias tripled. Christian Yelich and Keston Hiura had two hits each .. Hiura hit a three run home run.


Chicago :


Steven Souza Jr had a double and two RBIs


Pitching Performances :


Four Brewers relievers pitched a scoreless inning each allowing just one hit. Josh Hader recorded his fifth save.

Colorado :


Raimel Tapia had three hits, he scored twice. Matt Kemp, Garrett Hampson, Trevor Story and Charlie Blackmon each had two hits. Ryan McMahon hit a three run home run.


Texas :


Todd Frazier had two hits. Joey Gallo and Rougned Odor each hit home runs.


Pitching Performances :


The Rockies Jon Gray went seven innings ( 3 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 7 K’s ) for the win.

Oakland :


Chad Pinder and Matt Olson each had three hits. Pinder, Marcus Semien and Stephen Piscotty homered. Piscotty also doubled and had five RBIs in the game. Matt Chapman and Mark Canha each had two hits. The team had seventeen hits and drew seven walks.


San Francisco :


Brandon Belt had three hits including a home run. Brandon Crawford homered and doubled. Mauricio Dubon had two hits.

Offensive Standouts :


Dodgers :


Matt Beaty homered and had three hits. Mookie Betts and Corey Seager each had two hits. Max Muncy homered as did Seager. Catcher Keibert Ruiz in his major league debut homered in four AB’s.


Angels :


Brian Goodwin and Jo Adell each had two hits. Goodwin and Anthony Rendon homered.

Arizona :


Eduardo Escobar hit a three run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning that turned out to be the game winner. He had three hits in the game. Kole Calhoun hit a two run home run and Ketel Marte had two hits.


San Diego :


Eric Hosmer hit a two run home run.


Pitching Performances :


Arizona’s Robbie Ray pitched five no hit innings ( 1 R, 6 BB, 4 K’s ) but was very wild. Archie Bradley pitched the ninth inning for his sixth save.


San Diego’s Garrett Richards pitched seven innings ( 2 R, 6 H, 2 BB, 2 K’s )

Offensive Standouts :


New York :


Mike Ford had two hits including a home run with three RBIs. Gleyber Torres and Mike Tauchman each had two hits.


Boston :


Alex Verdugo had two hits. Kevin Pillar homered.


Pitching Performances :


JA Happ pitched 5 2/3 innings for the Yankees - 1 R, 3 H, 2 BB, 3 K’s. Adam Ottavino ( 2/3 IP ), Chad Green ( 1 1/3 IP ) and Zack Britton ( 1 IP ) finished it out allowing just two hits ... however Britton did struggle by giving up a double and then with two wild pitches and a fielding error which allowed a run to score.


Ryan Weber threw three scoreless innings of relief ( 2 H, 0 BB, 1 K ) for the Red Sox.
