International League ( AAA ) - Lehigh Valley 6 (23-24, 57-63) Rochester 2 (30-19,68-54)

Summary :


Kody Clemens walked in the first inning and scored on a triple by Buddy Kennedy.   David Dahl singled to score Kennedy.


Cody Roberts singled in the second inning and scored on a double by Kody Clemens.  Buddy Kennedy was hit by a pitch.  Darick Hall hit a three run home run.


Travis Blankenhorn homered for Rochester in the third inning. A single, hit batter, walk and wild pitch scored a run in the 8th inning.


At Bat :  6 R, 7 H, 1 BB, 10 K’s


Darick Hall (single & HR, 3 RBIs) and Buddy Kennedy (double & triple, two runs scored, RBI) each had two hits. Kody Clemens doubled.


On The Hill : 2 R, 6 H, 5 BB, 9 K’s


Seth Johnson pitched well - 5 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 1 HB, 2 BB, 4 K’s - 98 pitches - 58 strikes.  Griff McGarry pitched an inning - 0 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 24 pitches - 13 strikes.  Dylan Covey pitched an inning - 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 22 pitches - 14 strikes.  Freddy Tarnok pitched two innings - 1 R, 1 H, 2 HB, 1 BB, 1 K - 35 pitches - 20 strikes.

The shuttle between Lehigh Valley and Philadelphia has been working overtime of late. Cal Stevenson, Max Lazar, and Tyler Gilbert have all had their contracts selected by the Phillies in the past two weeks and are still with the Phillies. Weston Wilson, who joined the Phillies a month ago, hit for the cycle just last week, the 10th in Phillies franchise history. Coming back to Lehigh Valley, Kolby Allard and Tyler Phillips have rejoined the rotation while Yunior Marte bolsters the bullpen. Rafael Marchan also had an extended look with the Phillies, filling in for an injured J.T. Realmuto earlier this season. - Media Notes

Summary :


Otto Kemp singled in the second inning.  He advanced to third on a ground out and scored on a passed ball.


Marcus Lee Sang singled in the third inning and scored on a double by Justin Crawford.  Erick Brito singled to score Crawford. Carson Taylor doubled to score Brito.


Otto Kemp hit a three run home run in the fifth inning scoring Erick Brito and Gabriel Rincones Jr (both singled).


Marcus Lee Sang tripled in the sixth inning and scored on a wild pitch.


Three singles and a double scored three runs for Binghamton in the bottom of the sixth.


Zach Arnold doubled in the eighth and scored on a single by Marcus Lee Sang.


On The Hill : 3 R, 9 H, 4 BB, 11 K’s


Jean Cabrera pitched 5.2 innings - 3 R, 8 H, 0 BB, 3 K’s - 94 pitches - 66 strikes.  Nelson Alvarez pitched two innings - 0 R, 0 H, 3 BB, 4 K’s - 39 pitches - 24 strikes.  Andrew Schultz finished - 1.1 IP - 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s - 28 pitches - 16 strikes.


At Bat : 10 R, 12 H, 2 BB, 8 K’s


Marcus Lee Sang was 3 for 4 (two singles & triple, two RBIs, two runs scored). Otto Kemp had two hits (single & HR, three RBIs, two runs scored) as did Erick Brito (two singles, two runs scored, RBI).  Justin Crawford, Carson Taylor and Zach Arnold each doubled.

Brooklyn scored twice in the third on a walk, single, sacrifice fly and single.  A hit batter and double scored a sixth inning run.


Trent Farquhar walked in the seventh and scored on a double by Aidan Miller.


A double, walk and single scored a Brooklyn seventh inning run.


On The Hill : 4 R, 8 H, 4 BB, 13 K’sw


Luke Russo pitched 4.2 innings - 2 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 8 K’s - 90 pitches - 58 strikes.  Chuck King pitched 1.1 innings - 1 R, 1 H, 1 HB, 1 BB, 3 K’s - 28 pitches - 15 strikes.  Brandon Beckel pitched an inning - 1 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 K - 22 pitches - 13 strikes.  Jack Dallas pitched a perfect inning - 1 K - 10 pitches - 8 strikes.

Summary :


Two walks, three singles and two wild pitches resulted in four Dunedin runs in the third inning.   Two singles, an error and ground out scored two in the fourth.
