PHILLIES ANNOUNCE PERSONNEL MOVES

IN BASEBALL OPERATIONS

The Phillies today made several personnel moves in baseball operations. Phillies President of Baseball Operations Dave Dombrowski made the announcement.

• Dan Aucoin was promoted to Assistant General Manager, Research and Information

• Luke Murton was promoted to the new role of Assistant General Manager, Hitting

• Ray Robles was promoted to Director, Minor League and International Operations

• Edwin Soto was promoted to the new role of Manager, Baseball Administration

            Additionally, Ned Rice, Vice President, Business Operations and Assistant General Manager, will take on an expanded role on the business side of the organization. Rice will remain a part of the baseball operations department, continuing to oversee contract negotiations. Soto and Phillies director of baseball operations Corinne Landrey will take on additional baseball operations responsibilities previously handled by Rice.

Lee McDaniel, who served the Phillies organization for 32 years in the player development department, including the last 15 years as director of minor league operations, is scheduled to retire in January 2027.

In his new role, Aucoin will lead the club’s research and information departments as well as the use of data in all aspects of organizational decision making. He joined the Phillies on a full-time basis for the 2023 season, following two years as a consultant for the club in 2020 and 2022. Prior to his promotion, he served as senior director of baseball solutions, where he led initiatives to measure and refine the latent skills that drive player performance. Before joining the Phillies, Aucoin spent five years at Driveline Baseball, where he worked as chief research officer, director of baseball operations and manager of baseball analytics. He also gained experience working in video scouting, minor league operations and qualitative analysis for the Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays and Cincinnati Reds organizations.

Murton is in his fourth year in the Phillies organization after being hired by the club as director of hitting development for the 2023 season. In this newly created role, he will oversee the club’s minor league hitting program and will continue to work closely with the Phillies’ player development and scouting departments. Murton had been serving as director of player development and director of hitting since November 2024. Prior to his time with the Phillies, he spent four years (2019-22) as a scouting crosschecker and advisor to baseball operations for the San Diego Padres and three years as a scout (2016-18) for the San Francisco Giants. Murton was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 19^th round of the 2009 MLB Draft. Following his playing career, he gained coaching experience in the Boston Red Sox (2015) minor league system and with Samford University (2014).

Currently in his 16^th year in the Phillies organization, Robles has served as director of international operations for the club since February 2022. In his new role, the Dominican Republic native will oversee daily operations, administration, logistics and scheduling for all Phillies minor league affiliates. He will also continue his involvement in international business operations in the Dominican Republic and with immigration/visa procurement services for Phillies foreign players and personnel. Robles originally joined the organization as an administrative assistant in 2010 and has also held the roles of coordinator and assistant director of international operations.

In his new position, Soto will work out of Philadelphia with the major league club to ensure rules compliance and assist with overall roster management. He is currently in his eighth year as a member of the Phillies organization and originally joined the club as administrator of minor league operations in December 2018. Soto, a native of the Dominican Republic, has also held the roles with the team as manager of player development for the 2022 season and for the past four seasons (2023-26) as assistant director of player development.
