The Phillies have historically issued “Player of the Month” awards in two categories - Hitter and Pitcher. Below are nominations for the August awards 🤔🤓.
Hitter of the Month :
SS Aidan Miller - Reading - 21 years old - 2023 1st round draft selection - Mitchell HS - New Port Richey, FL - in 22 games posted a .348/.454/.629 slash line and 1.083 OPS in 108 Plate Appearances with 13 doubles, 4 home runs, 16 RBIs, 13 walks, 13 stolen bases and 22 runs scored - 56 total bases. He now has 50 stolen bases for the season which leads the Eastern League - he is in the top ten rankings in the league for the year for AB’s, Runs,Doubles, BB, SB (1st), OBP and OPS.
OF/1B/3B Felix Reyes - Reading - 24 years old -signed as an international free agent 2/22/20 - Bani, Dominican Republic - in 28 games posted a .374/.400/.565 slash line and .965 OPS in 125 Plate Appearances with 13 doubles, 3 home runs, 24 RBIs, 6 walks, 4 stolen bases and 23 runs scored - 65 total bases. He is in the top ten rankings in the Eastern League for the year for Runs,Hits, Doubles, HR’s, BA (1st), OBP, SLG (1st) and OPS (1st).
OF Justin Crawford - Lehigh Valley - 21 years old - 2022 1st round draft selection - Bishop Gorman HS, Las Vegas, NV - in 26 games posted a .369/.414/.553 slash line and .968 OPS in 113 Plate Appearances with 5 doubles, 1 triple, 4 home runs, 16 RBIs, 8 walks, 12 stolen bases and 26 runs scored - 57 total bases. He is in the top ten rankings in the International League for the year for Runs (1st),Hits (1st), Triples, SB, BA (1st) and OBP
OF Gabriel Rincones Jr - Lehigh Valley - 24 years old - 2022 3rd round draft selection - Florida Atlantic University - in 15 games posted a .327/.406/.709 slash line and 1.115 OPS in 64 Plate Appearances with 3 doubles, 6 home runs, 17 RBIs, 6 walks, 2 stolen bases and 14 runs scored - 39 total bases.

LH Mavis Graves - Jersey Shore - 21 years old - 2022 6th round draft selection - Eastside HS, Taylors, South Carolina - posted a 2.08 ERA in 5 starts (21.2 IP) - 27 K’s and 16 walks - for the season has appeared in 21 games (all starts) with a 4.41 ERA (81.2 IP) with 103 K’s and 51 walks.
RH Griff McGarry - Reading - 26 years old - 2021 5th round draft selection - University of Virginia - made six starts (27 IP) posting a 3.00 ERA with 44 K’s and 14 walks - BAA of .203. For the season has posted a 3.65 ERA with Reading in 15 starts (61.2 IP) with 85 K’s and 39 walks, BAA - .183.
