Just a few tidbits … we continue our northern swing so I’ve not been as active with the writing. Thanks to the great Larry Shenk for filling in this week on the minor league roundup, truly appreciated 👍.
… The AA and A levels 2022 game schedules are starting to be released to the public. The 2022 season will begin on April 8th and teams will play 132 games. Generally the six game format with Monday’s off will be followed … the opening series will be a three game weekend set. The season will run thru mid September.
… Spring Training will be a “normal” occurrence with the big leaguers and minor leaguers training concurrently. The first Grapefruit League game for the Phillies will be on Saturday, February 26th in Tampa vs the Yankees.
… the Triple A 2022 schedule will be 144 games, the Iron Pigs will open on 4/5 and their regular season will conclude on 9/21/22.
… Fall Instructs this year will begin on 9/27 and run for four weeks. The players selected for the Arizona Fall League will be announced shortly.
That’s all I’ve got … probably repeating what you already know but hey I’m out of sync for another week from my normal routine 🤪
