Summary
For the second straight night, Buffalo rallied late and won on a walk-off base hit. Gregory Polanco hit a 3-run homer with one out in B9 for the win. Polanco also belted a 2-run HR in B6, cutting Lehigh Valley’s lead in half, 4-2. Buffalo scored twice in the next inning to tie the game.
Lehigh Valley grabbed a 2-0 lead in the T3, Simon Muzziotti (RBI single) and Alec Bohm (sac. fly). Bryson Stott’s homer and an infield out RBI by Logan O’Hoppe upped the lead to 4-0 in the next inning.
Starter Francisco Morales, 21, tossed 5 scoreless innings in his AAA debut. He led all Phillies minor league pitchers with 110 strikeouts in 83 innings at Reading.
