Pitchers of the Week :

LH Christopher Sanchez - 7 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 4 BB, 6 K’s - 90 pitches - 53 strikes - has pitched in 15 games ( 14 starts ) for Lehigh Valley posting a 3.14 ERA in 57 1/3 IP - he also has pitched in 14 major league games this season ( 37 IP ) - overall season numbers - 29 appearances - 94 1/3 IP, 4.10 ERA, 92 K’s - 25 years old - acquired in trade with Rays on 11/20/19.

RH Noah Skirrow - 6 IP, 0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 5 K’s - 89 pitches - 55 strikes - has recorded a 2.65 ERA and a 0.88 WHIP in three September starts since his promotion to Lehigh Valley on the 5th of the month.  Noah ( 24 years old - signed as an un-drafted free agent on 6/16/20 from Liberty University ) has quietly had a very solid season.  Between Reading and Lehigh Valley he’s made 24 starts ( 115 2/3 IP ) and posted an overall 4.36 ERA with 130 K’s and 37 walks.  The Canadian born Skirrow is one of only five minor league hurlers to throw over 100 innings this season.  Assuming he makes one more start next week against Syracuse he should end up as the innings pitched leader this season.
