King Felix : Felix Reyes had two hits and a triple of Friday night to continue his historic season. Since August 1 (31 games), Reyes is slashing .381/.403/.597 (1.000 OPS), with 26 runs, 15 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 31 RBI. Over that stretch, he’s had multiple hits in 15-of-32 games, with seven of those games having three-or-more hits. Reyes now qualifies to be ranked amongst the Eastern League leaders and holds the following ranks on the season: 1st AVG (.337), 6th OBP (.368), 1st SLG (.572), 1st OPS (.940), 3rd hits (115), 1st 2B (30), 2nd XBH (48) and 1st total bases (195). On Wednesday, Reyes became the 23rd Fightin Phil all time to have 30-or-more doubles in a season and he leads the league in two baggers. The last R-Phil to lead the league in doubles was Darick Hall (38) in 2019. It’s happened five times sine 1967. - Jake Starr - Reading Director of PR/Media Relations, Client Fulfillment & Broadcaster

Did Ya Know 🧐 :

Pitching Wins…Since the All-Star Break ended on July 18th (a stretch in which the BlueClaws are 29-13), the BlueClaws have a team ERA of just 2.94 (119 ER in 364 innings) including a starting pitcher ERA of 2.92 in that stretch (64 ER in 197 innings)…This week, they have held Brooklyn to a .123 batting average (19-123) and nine runs in four games. - Greg Giombarrese - Vice President - Communications - Jersey Shore BlueClaws

Florida State League (Low A)  - Tampa 6 (27-34, 63-63) Clearwater 2 (32-30, 68-60)

Clearwater, FL - BayCare BallPark

At Bat : 2 R, 8 H, 2 BB, 16 K’s

Nate Humphreys had two hits (single & two run HR) with a walk, two RBIs and a run scored. Logan Dawson got his first pro hit - a single.

On The Hill : 6 R, 9 H, 6 BB, 14 K’s

RH Gage Wood - 2 IP, 1 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 5 K’s - 40 pitches - 22 strikes - four seam FB (94-97 mph), sinker (94-97 mph), curve ball, slider and cutter - the young man competes - a balk call on him in the first inning resulted in a run scoring, he was visibly irritated with the call even after a mound visit by pitching coach Gustavo Armas. Overall first impression is that he attacks hitters- quality stuff - I’m sure his emotions were high - will need to reel that in a bit going forward though. Solid pro debut in general.

LH Angel Liranzo - 3 IP, 4 R - 1 earned, 5 H, 1 HB, 2 BB, 4 K’s - 71 pitches - 44 strikes

RH Adilson Peralta - 2 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 2 K’s - 37 pitches - 25 strikes

RH Gabe Craig - 1 perfect IP, 2 K’s - 14 pitches - 9 strikes
