Down in the Tompkins VIST Bank Plaza, R-Phils employees will be recognized for their 10+ years of service, while at 6:45pm R-Phils players will be recognized with the annual end of the year accolades. Today’s Phillies game with Tigers East in Lakeland was postponed due to rain. The makeup of the 7/7/21 postponed game which was rescheduled to be played today was cancelled.
The Phillies have a scheduled off day tomorrow and will next play at home on Saturday against the Blue Jays in a 10 AM contest.

Erick Brito continues to be red hot, he went 4 for 5 today with 4 RBIs … now hitting .343 for the season in 102 AB’s with a .507 OBP 😳 … the 19 year old Venezuelan infielder also has 15 stolen bases. Seventeen year old Jorge Garcia hit three doubles today in five AB’s, scored twice and had two RBIs. Rickardo Rosario and Jose Leanez ( both 18 yrs old ) each had two hits, both hit a double in the game. Seventeen year old Yemal Flores drew three walks.
Twenty year old RHP Saul Alcala pitched four scoreless innings in relief … 1 H, 0 BB, 6 K’s … he got the win and improved his record to 4-2.
Angels 8 ( 23-17 ) Phillies Red 7 ( 23-18 )
Rickardo Perez ,Solardo Rodriquez and Marco Soto ( all 17 yrs old ) each had two hits. Soto and Jhorjan Guevara each doubled … Rodriquez tripled, scored twice and had two RBIs.
