Minor League Player Profiles

Mick Abel - RHP - Birthdate : 8/18/01 - 1st round draft choice - 2020 - Jesuit High School - Portland, OR … This Fan’s View - big arm capabilities ( 97-99 mph FB ) … learning how to be a complete pitcher, specifically worked on approaches, location and mix during 2021 season, great student and listener - was shut down after 7/21/21 start with Threshers with back tightness, didn’t appear during season thereafter - pitched in Fall Instructs and was completely back to form. I’ve heard scouts comparisons to Roy Halladay. 2022 Projection - has only pitched 44 professional innings and will be just 20 years old for most of the 2022 season however stuff is top drawer … we see him beginning at High A and pushing upwards.

Mike Adams - RHP - Birthdate : 9/7/94 - signed as free agent 1/19/21 - Wagner University - New Jersey … This Fan’s View - Mike is a great story as he was signed after leaving baseball and starting an academy to teach others. He had a whirlwind 2021 season - began at High A Jersey Shore, skipped over Reading and finished the year at AAA Lehigh Valley. Pitched in 44 games ( 47 2/3 IP ) and posted a respectable 3.65 ERA in 30 games at the AAA level. 2022 Projection - has to harness control and command to reach the big leagues as BB/9 of 5.29 was far too high. FB and secondaries can play at the highest level … we see him back at AAA pushing for a big league debut.

Tyler Adams - LHP - Birthdate : 3/17/98 - 2019 27th round draft choice - Indiana University - Indiana, PA … This Fan’s View - Tyler has swing and miss capabilities and has been a strikeout producer in his two pro seasons of play. His primary issue has been control ( 10.41 BB/9 rate in 2021 ). He pitched in 24 games during the ‘21 season, mostly at Clearwater amassing 32 IP … numbers weren’t pretty yet we saw flashes of what might be … has decent stuff. 2022 Projection - spring training will be key to earn a bounce to the next level, has to throw strikes.

Samuel Aldegheri - LHP - Birthdate : 9/19/01 - signed 7/2/19 as international free agent - Verona, Italy … This Fan’s View - pitched in 8 games in 2021 ( 5 with Clearwater, 3 with the FCL Phillies ) and posted a 2.57 ERA in 21 IP with 32 K’s and 10 BB. From the time we saw him in 2019 Fall Instructs we noted his ability to pitch with a savvy beyond his years. He has a four pitch mix, fast ball upper end 93/94 but still developing … we like his upside of size, demeanor ( doesn’t scare ) and repertoire. 2022 Projection - still very inexperienced ( 2021 is his only pro game log ) so we’d expect a spring assignment to begin the year as part of the Threshers rotation.

Aiden Anderson - RHP - Birthdate : 6/21/97 - signed 6/18/19 as an un-drafted free agent - McNeese State … This Fan’s View - had a very solid 2021 season for Clearwater and Jersey Shore - appeared in 31 games ( 53 IP ) as a multi inning reliever. Aidan primarily used a two pitch mix ( FB/Slider ). 2022 Projection - likely a part of the Reading bullpen crew in the same role he pitched during the ‘21 season.

Chase Antle - RHP - Birthdate : 2/16/97 - signed 6/16/20 as an un-drafted free agent - Coastal Carolina … This Fan’s View - has yet to pitch in a professional game - went directly into rehab work … was a high velocity reliever ( 97 -99 mph ) in college at both Bowling Green and Coastal Carolina. 2022 Projection - when healthy is capable of moving up quickly.

Yoan Antonac - RHP - Birthdate : 7/27/00 - signed 6/8/18 as an international free agent - Montpellier, France … This Fan’s View - a big fella at 6’9” his issue, like many inexperienced pitchers, is finding a consistent release point. He’s pitched primarily as a reliever with the majority of appearances on the backfields in the GCL/FCL however did make one appearance in 2021 with the Threshers. Velocity at this point sits upper 80’s/low 90’s. 2022 Projection - should push for a low A assignment this coming spring.

Juan Aparicio - C - Birthdate : 5/26/00 - signed 7/2/16 as an international free agent - Maracaibo, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - since coming stateside in 2018 Juan has shown solid offensive skills, he’s posted above a .300 batting average twice in three years. Originally signed as a third basemen he is still a work in process as a catcher yet we’ve seen plays from him that have stood out, at this point offense is still ahead of the defensive prowess. 2022 Projection - played in 54 games with the low A Clearwater Threshers in 2021, will likely advance to High A Jersey Shore this spring.

Mark Appel - RHP - Birthdate : 7/15/91 - trade acquisition from Astros 12/12/15 - retired 4/5/18 and returned to active play 4/3/21 … This Fan’s View - started the 2021 season with Reading and finished with Lehigh Valley - pitched in 23 games ( 71 1/3 IP ) and while velocity was consistently in mid nineties command and control were issues ( 6.18 BB/9 ). At season’s end he had moved from the starting rotation to the bullpen. 2022 Projection - decision will need to be made as to role, also will have to reel in both command and control to become a viable option for future big league consideration.

Leonel Aponte - RHP - Birthdate : 7/2/99 - signed 11/19/15 as an international free agent - Villa de Cura, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - appeared as a reliever in 18 games in 2021 ( 14 with Clearwater, 4 with FCL ) - struggled finding consistency. 2022 Projection - will need a strong spring showing to secure a full season roster position.

Erubiel Armenta - LHP - Birthdate : 3/11/00 - signed 7/11/19 - Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico … This Fan’s View - had a breakout 2021 season pitching at three levels ( Clearwater/Jersey Shore & Reading ). Big frame belies an equally big arm … an off the charts 19.17 K/9 rate in 16 games ( 23 IP ) and a 1.96 ERA posting 49 K’s and 16 walks. 2022 Projection - finished 2021 at Reading in one appearance during the final week, we anticipate he will start there next spring, could push up quickly, has big league stuff and composure - viable big leaguer at some point in 2022

Konnor Ash - RHP - Birthdate : 3/17/99 - signed 7/20/21 as an un-drafted free agent - University of Missouri … This Fan’s View - appeared in nine 2021 games ( 6 with Threshers, 3 FCL ) … five pitch mix ( FB, Curve,Slider,Cutter & Change ) with FB generally sitting 90-92. 2022 Projection - we saw him a couple of times in Fall Instructs and during the season, always as a reliever - should compete for a full season roster spot at the High A level in spring training.

Alexeis Azuaje - INF - Birthdate : 4/24/02 - signed 7/2/18 as an international free agent - Ocurmare del Tuy, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - our first look was during 2019 Fall Instructs, we saw a quick bat with pop, that played out again in 2021 as Alexeis hit three home runs in the last week of FCL play. We envision him as a second baseman and think that he is capable of being a solid bat and defender as he progresses. 2022 Projection - will turn 20 years of age early in the season, see him as a key middle infielder with the Clearwater Threshers coming out of spring training.

Andrew Baker - RHP - Birthdate : 3/24/00 - 2021 11th round draft choice - Chipola Junior College, Florida … This Fan’s View - pitched in nine 2021 games ( 7 with Threshers, 2 with FCL ) accumulating 10 innings pitched. Showed strikeout capabilities but also had a bout with control issues ( 17 BB, 16 K’s ) … a fine tuning of release point brought him back to form later in the season and in Fall Instructs. He can consistently pop the mitt in the upper 90’s, also has a slider, curve and change-up but the FB is the dominant pitch. 2022 Projection - has a chance to move up quickly as a power reliever, we see him in the mix for a High A spot in spring training.

Albertus Barber - RHP - Birthdate : 2/18/96 -signed 6/23/19 as an un-drafted free agent - Oklahoma Baptist University … This Fan’s View - no one will ever outwork this young man or have a greater desire to succeed. He underwent Tommy John surgery and missed the entire 2021 season but has worked diligently to return. Put up outstanding numbers in 2019 at the A level - 0.87 ERA in 20 2/3 IP with 23 K’s and 6 walks. A reliever with mid to upper 90’s range with both a four seam and sinker. 2022 Projection - had surgery in May of 2021 so likely won’t be ready for spring training but knowing his work ethic, passion and physical fitness wouldn’t be surprised if he is … we see him moving quickly once ready … High A/Double A to start … we also believe he will reach his dream of pitching in the major leagues at some point. Energy to the nth degree !

Edward Barboza - C - Birthdate : 4/2/01 - signed 2/19/18 as an international free agent - Ciudad Ojeda, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - played in nine 2021 FCL games and posted a .292 average in 24 AB’s. He hit .302 in 42 games ( 126 AB’s ) in the 2019 Dominican Summer League. 2022 Projection - was active in 2021 Fall Instructs … should get a chance to compete for a full season roster spot in spring training.

Jamari Baylor - SS/2B - Birthdate : 8/25/00 - 2019 3rd round draft selection - Benedictine HS, Richmond, VA … This Fan’s View - played in 44 2021 games ( 25 - FCL, 15 with Threshers ) … has very quick hands as a hitter and drives the ball with authority, hit 5 home runs in FCL play on the expansive backfields before moving up to Clearwater at the beginning of September to finish the season. He’s an exciting hitter to watch, is working hard defensively, we saw him make plays in Fall Instructs at shortstop which were both very athletic and wide ranging, excellent arm, footwork is key to sticking at shortstop. 2022 Projection - he will play most of the ‘22 season as a 21 year old, we see him beginning at Clearwater and possibly advancing to High A during the summer.

Brendan Bell - RHP - Birthdate : 3/11/00 - 2019 37th round draft selection - Central Florida University … This Fan’s View - appeared in 22 2021 games ( 18 - Threshers, 4 FCL ) pitching 30 2/3 inning and posting a 1.66 WHIP entirely as a reliever. Throw a Cutter ( 90-92 mph ), Curve and Slider. 2022 Projection - should be in the mix for a bullpen role with Jersey Shore in Spring Training.

Carlos Betancourt - RHP - Birthdate : 3/27/01 - signed 7/2/17 as an international free agent - Cumana, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - spent the majority of the 2021 season on the injured list appearing in just three games, we saw him pitch multiple times in Fall Instructs though. He’s got a sharp slider that can produce swings and misses and has flashed mid 90’s with the fastball. 2022 Projection - he will be just 21 years of age for the coming season, if he can maintain his health we see him as part of the Threshers opening day rotation.

Trevor Bettencourt - RHP - Birthdate : 7/21/94 - 2016 25th round draft selection - UC Santa Barbara … This Fan’s View - Trevor has been thru TJ surgery multiple times and missed most of the 2019 season as well as all of 2020/2021. When he’s been able to pitch he features a big breaking curve ball that is a big time strikeout producer … has posted 127 K’s in 101 1/3 IP over his brief career and a very solid 2.40 ERA. He had reached the AA level in both 2018 and 2019. 2022 Projection - placed on the injured list in May of 2021 we are hopeful to see him back in action this spring … if so he should push for at least a role in the AA bullpen if not higher coming out of camp.

Malik Binns - RHP - Birthdate : 1/5/99 - 2021 18th round draft selection - Benedictine University, Mesa, AZ … This Fan’s View - Appeared in two FCL games and threw three scoreless innings. He’s a big fella at 6’7” who is relatively new to baseball - starred in basketball in high school and junior college in Illinois. We’ve yet to see him pitch but reports are he’s flashed up to 97 mph with the heater ( sits 92-94 ). 2022 Projection - seemingly projects as a reliever … very inexperienced so may be slated to begin the season in extended spring but could earn a slot with Clearwater out of spring camp with a good showing.

Jorge Bonifacio - OF - Birthdate : 6/4/93 - signed as a minor league free agent 5/25/21 … This Fan’s View - the veteran was signed to stabilize a very young Reading roster and provide both leadership and a middle of the order presence. He excelled at both and even earned a promotion to the big leagues appearing in seven games with the Phillies. Very popular teammate. 2022 Projection - elected free agency on 10/8/21 … a good guy to have in any organization.

Daniel Brito - INF - Birthdate : 1/23/98 - signed as an international free agent 7/17/14 - Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - was having the best season of his career when it was abruptly ended with a medical incident in early August. Now working his way back in what is anticipated as a long recovery process but hopeful for a full recovery. He hit .295 in 275 AB’s at for Reading and Lehigh Valley during the ‘21 season. 2022 Projection - eligible for minor league free agency, we would love to see the vibrant young man on the baseball field again in some capacity in the future.

Erick Brito - INF - Birthdate : 5/25/02 - signed as an international free agent 11/29/18 - Ciudad Guayana, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - had an outstanding 2021 DSL season posting a .327 batting average in 153 AB’s which earned him a spot in Fall Instructs camp where we saw him play. Erick is a slender young man who bats exclusively from the right side, decent bat to ball skills shown in Fall Camp - small sample size. 2022 Projection - just 19 years old till end of May, we’d expect that he will be in extended spring camp with an eye towards Florida Complex League play.

Andrew Brown - RHP - Birthdate : 10/24/97 - 2016 13th round draft selection - Granite Hills HS, El Cajon, CA … This Fan’s View - Was in the best stretch of his career with Jersey Shore from 6/1/21 to 8/11/21 appearing in 16 games ( 32 IP ) and posting a 1.96 ERA during that time. He was excelling as a multi inning reliever at the High A level after struggling in a similar role with double A Reading to begin the season. Andrew was registering in the mid 90’s with the fastball and was effectively commanding both the heater and off speed deliveries. He was placed on the injured list on 8/20 and finished the season in rehab work during Fall Instructs. 2022 Projection - his 2.60 ERA over 19 games at Jersey Shore projects him as a viable multi inning reliever for a similar role or even perhaps a return to starting with Reading to begin ‘22 … we’ve seen flashes of excellent pitching from Andrew both last season and in 2018. Confidence, consistency and command are key to success.

Ben Brown - RHP - Birthdate : 9/9/99 - 2017 33rd round draft selection - Ward Melville HS, East Setauket, NY … This Fan’s View - had TJ surgery in May of 2019 - was part of the opening day Jersey Shore roster to begin 2021 and pitched in four games before being placed on the development list in May and returning to the complex for further rehab. We saw him pitch in 3 games to end the season with the FCL Phillies and was popping the glove at 96 mph. Ben throws a heavy sinker that gets on hitters quickly … uses his 6’6” frame for great extension. We like him a lot … can dominate games as evidenced by his 16 strikeout performance on 7/24/18 in just 6 innings during a GCL game. When he’s fully healthy he’s gonna turn heads. 2022 Projection - a return to Jersey Shore seems likely to begin the ‘22 season but we envision a move up to Reading during the year at the least.

Blake Brown - RHP - Birthdate : 8/18/98 - signed 6/18/20 as an un-drafted free agent - UNC Asheville … This Fan’s View - Blake has shown us the capability to register his fastball in the triple digits and sit consistently in the mid to upper 90’s. He had a strong ‘21 season for Jersey Shore posting a 3.15 ERA in 33 games ( 40 IP ) with 58 K’s and 34 walks. We also have seen him throw in Fall Instructs both in ‘20 and ‘21. Finished the season with a promotion to Reading and appeared in one game. 2022 Projection - has dominate stuff as a back end reliever, will have to harness control and develop more consistent command but is a viable big league arm in the not so distant future … should at least begin ‘22 at Reading with a shot at AAA out of spring camp also. If he can throw quality strikes the stuff can play in the show.

Chris Burke - C - Birthdate : 8/16/01 - signed 7/16/19 as an international free agent - Melbourne, Victoria, Australia … This Fan’s View - played in 27 games ( 14 with Threshers and 13 FCL ) in his first stateside pro action in 2021. Posted a cumulative .270 average in 74 AB’s … has been a regular for Melbourne in the Australian Baseball League since 2019. It earned him the Paul Owens Award as he struck out 61 batters and walked only ten. We saw him pitch in 2021 Fall Instructs … quick worker, easy delivery with a fast ball that sits 93-94 and flashes upwards of 97 mph. 2022 Projection - he will pitch the entire season as a nineteen year old, we’d anticipate seeing him in extended spring training with an eye towards a Threshers debut during the summer.

Tyler Carr - RHP - Birthdate : 5/1/96 - 2018 31st round draft selection - University of South Alabama … This Fan’s View - Tyler participated in 2021 big league spring training and was assigned to LHV alternate camp thereafter. He appeared in 33 games ( 51 1/3 IP ) for AA Reading in 2021 and posted a 1.54 WHIP. He’s capable of bringing the heater in the mid nineties, generally sits below that. 2022 Projection - should compete in spring training for a AAA level assignment.

Dylan Castaneda - RHP - Birthdate : 7/16/01 - 2019 30th round draft selection - Salisbury School, Salisbury, CT … This Fan’s View - Dylan broke 2021 spring camp as a member of the Low A level Threshers piggyback rotation as a nineteen year old, his pitching repertoire is very good but he struggled with control walking 28 batters in 32 2/3 IP. We saw him later on the FCL backfields in a 6/29 game where he dominated. There is an evident skill set that can advance, needs experience and consistency. 2022 Projection - we would expect to see him break spring camp again with the Threshers and anticipate much better results.

When healthy he’s shown a mid nineties fastball range but has been very limited with only 11 appearances in his career ( 30 IP ) 2022 Projection - likely won’t be ready for ‘22 spring camp and will open the year on rehab assignment - hopefully returns to action during the summer at some point.

Logan Cerny - OF - Birthdate : 9/28/99 - 2021 10th round draft selection - Troy University … This Fan’s View - played in 13 games ( 8 - FCL, 5 - Threshers ) to begin his pro career and also participated in Fall Instructs. He’s very fast and should be a big base stealing threat, we’ve also seen a quick bat and ability to drive the ball. 2022 Projection - should open the season at the least at the Low A level with High A being more likely.

Joel Cesar - RHP - Birthdate : 1/26/96 - acquired in trade with Pirates 9/20/20 - Altamira, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - began the season with Reading but went on the injured list on 5/26 and did not return after having TJ surgery. Dallas Dyar - RHP - Birthdate : 7/24/01 - 2019 21st round draft selection - Clinton High School, Clinton ,MS … This Fan’s View - has yet to make his pro debut - missed the entire 2021 season due to injury, we did see him briefly in 2019 Fall Instructs. 2022 Projection - hopefully returns to competition at some point during the season.

Colton Eastman - RHP - Birthdate : 8/22/96 - 2018 4th round draft selection - Cal State Fullerton … This Fan’s View - Colton suffered a broken finger attempting to bunt in a Reading game on June 11th. He returned to action on August 14th and pitched very well ( 2.70 ERA in 4 games - 10 IP ) earning a promotion to Lehigh Valley on September 7th where he continued to pitch well ( 3.00 ERA in 4 starts - 21 IP ). He’s shown very good command and control in his career to date with a four pitch mix, solid starter with fastball sitting low nineties. 2022 Projection - should be part of the opening day Lehigh Valley rotation with the possibility of making his big league debut during the season.

Jefferson Encarnacion - OF - Birthdate : 8/28/01 - signed as an international free agent 9/12/17 - Bajos de Haina, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - promising looking player who unfortunately suffered a season ending knee injury during 2021 extended spring training. We saw him in 2019 Fall Instructs and this year’s XST. Angular build, good defensive mechanics and arm strength … would have played in the FCL if not injured. 2022 Projection - hopefully returns to action during the summer … just 20 years old, if healthy likely plays in the FCL.

Jaydenn Estanista - RHP - Birthdate : 10/3/01 - signed 11/8/19 as an international free agent - Willemstad, Curacao … This Fan’s View - we saw him pitch in 2021 Fall Instructs … His deliveries appeared to have great side to side action and had batters lunging and off balance. We need to see more of this young hurler, no radar reads on him but we could hear the mitt pop. Pitched in 10 games in the ‘21 DSL posting a 3.23 ERA in 30 2/3 IP. 2022 Projection - should be stateside for extended spring training and FCL competition.

Ethan Evanko - LHP - Birthdate : 6/7/95 - signed as an un-drafted free agent 6/19/18 - Grand Canyon University … This Fan’s View - was off to a decent start with Reading and then Lehigh Valley and appeared in 12 games ( 25 1/3 IP ) before going on the injured list on July 8th and eventually having TJ surgery. Spent the balance of the season in Clearwater working with the rehab team. 2022 Projection - hopefully returns to action at some point during the season.

Nick Fanti - LHP - Birthdate : 12/30/96 - 2015 31st round draft selection - Hauppauge HS, Hauppauge, NY … This Fan’s View - has not pitched in a game since 6/20/18 … initially had shoulder surgery and then TJ surgery in 2021. When he was healthy Nick showed excellent command and authored two no hitters for the Lakewood Blue Claws in 2017. 2022 Projection - eligible for minor league free agency.

Nate Fassnacht - INF - Birthdate : 1/5/98 - 2019 8th round draft selection - George Washington University … This Fan’s View - played 69 games for Jersey Shore and 2 for Lehigh Valley in 2021 amassing 230 AB’s … defensively played all four infield positions plus left field during the season. 2022 Projection - should be in the spring mix for a role with Reading.

Colby Fitch - C - Birthdate : 7/27/95 - 2017 13th round draft selection - Louisville University … This Fan’s View - appeared in 39 games for Reading amassing 102 AB’s in 2021 even playing the outfield in four contests. Struggled to find consistency but did have a multi hit game on 9/2 against Hartford. Always have liked his ability as a game manager behind the dish. 2022 Projection - will look to continue to earn playing time in spring camp with hopes of either a Reading or Lehigh Valley spring assignment.

Yemal Flores - OF - Birthdate : 11/22/03 - signed as an international free agent - 2/2/21 - San Isidro, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - made his pro debut appearing in 37 games ( 117 AB’s ) in the ‘21 DSL. Also appeared in ‘21 Fall Instructs. We’ve only seen him play for a minute. 2022 Projection - is very young so could return to the Dominican Academy for another season.

Wilfredo Flores - INF - Birthdate : 5/14/00 - signed as an international free agent - 5/8/18 - Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic - … This Fan’s View - played sparingly in ‘21 appearing in 17 games ( 12 -FCL, 5 - Clearwater ) battling various injuries … he had an outstanding 2019 GCL season when he hit .342 in 120 AB’s which was a follow up to hitting .320 in the 2018 DSL in 220 AB’s. We’ve seen him play multiple times and he can definitely swing the bat, also plays 2B, 3B and the outfield. Participated in ‘21 Fall Instructs. 2022 Projection - should get a full season assignment out of spring training … either Clearwater or Jersey Shore I’d suspect.

Jordan Fowler - RHP - Birthdate : 3/9/99 - signed as an un-drafted free agent 6/14/20 - Central Missouri University … This Fan’s View - spent the majority of the season on the injured list and working with the rehab team however did make seven appearances with the ‘21 FCL Phillies totaling eight innings and posting a 3.38 ERA. We haven’t had an opportunity to see him pitch as of yet. 2022 Projection - should compete for at least an A level full season roster spot in the spring.

Carlos Francisco - RHP - Birthdate : 7/2/99 - 2019 28th round draft selection - Hillsborough Community College - Florida … This Fan’s View - pitched at three levels in 2021 ( FCL, Clearwater & Jersey Shore ) as a reliever appearing in 26 games ( 28 1/3 IP ) … sits mid 90’s with his fastball and also features a slider. 2022 Projection - will compete for a bullpen role at either High A or Double A level in Spring Training.

Freddy Francisco - C - Birthdate : 2/7/01 - signed as an international free agent - 5/3/18 - Esperanza, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - played in 24 games ( 49 AB’s ) at four levels in 2021 ( FCL, Clearwater, Jersey Shore and Lehigh Valley ) amassing 49 AB’s … had a strong ‘21 Fall Instructs Camp with a couple of home runs. We’ve liked his defensive mechanics since we first saw him in 2019 GCL action. Just needs an opportunity to play consistently. 2022 Projection - should be in the spring mix for a roster spot at the least with Clearwater, maybe Jersey Shore.

Vito Friscia - 1B/C - Birthdate : 12/19/96 - 2019 40th round draft selection - Hofstra University … This Fan’s View - very solid 2021 campaign primarily with Jersey Shore ( .265 average, 14 doubles, 3 triples, 7 home runs and 40 RBIs ) posting a .378 on base percentage which was the second best mark in the minor league organization ( for those with at least 315 plate appearances ). He finished the year playing for the Italian National team in the European Championships. 2022 Projection - very likely opens the season as a regular in the Reading lineup.

Arquimedes Gamboa - UTL - Birthdate : 9/23/97 - signed 7/17/14 as an international free agent - 7/17/14 - Guiria, Venezuela - … This Fan’s View - had a solid ‘21 season with Reading and Lehigh Valley becoming a utility player rather than primarily a shortstop as in years past. He hit .308 during the month of July in 91 AB’s posting a .417 OBP. Played SS,2B,3B and CF during the summer. 2022 Projection - is eligible for minor league free agency

Alex Garbrick - RHP - Birthdate : 6/4/98 - 2021 17th round draft selection - University of South Carolina - Upstate … This Fan’s View - made seven appearances in ‘21 ( 3 in FCL & 4 with Threshers ) accumulating 17 1/3 IP, also appeared in Fall Instructs … five pitch mix ( FB, Sinker, Slider, Change & Curve ) with fastball sitting 92-93 and touching 94-95. 2022 Projection - could be viewed as a starting pitching option given the repertoire of deliveries … High A target out of spring camp.

Julian Garcia - RHP - Birthdate : 5/13/95 - 2016 10th round draft selection - Metropolitan State University of Denver … This Fan’s View - pitched at three levels in 2021 ( Jersey Shore, Reading and Lehigh Valley ) … numbers weren’t pretty but we’ve seen Julian do very well in the past and consider 2021 to be anomaly. He’s a sinker-slider-changeup type pitcher who relies on both control and command … that wavered during 2021. 2022 Projection - will come into spring camp in a position to re-prove himself as a viable rotation or multi inning reliever at the AA/AAA level.

Luis Garcia - SS/2B - Birthdate : 10/1/00 - signed as an international free agent - 7/2/17 - San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - outstanding fielder, in our opinion the best all-around ( hands, arm, range, savy ) middle infielder in the minor league system … Galvis like actions - also had a breakout ‘21 season in regards to driving the baseball with authority - hit 13 home runs, 18 doubles and 5 triples for Clearwater/Jersey Shore in 103 games ( 391 AB’s ) and also participated in Fall Instructs. We are very high on his abilities and see a major league future for him as a middle infield regular. 2022 Projection - in our opinion he’s ready for the challenge of AA baseball right out of spring camp … definitely will be back in big league spring training camp - very bright future.

Yhoswar Garcia - OF - Birthdate : 9/13/01 - signed as an international free agent - 3/14/20 - Guatire, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - we first saw Yhoswar play in 2021 extended spring training, he has an unbridled energy and passion to perform. Very quick bat and the ability to drive the baseball into the gaps, outstanding speed and defensive skill set - they don’t call him the “drone” for nothing … appeared in 18 games with Clearwater before suffering in shin injury on a foul ball on the first of July and missing the balance of the summer. He participated in Fall Instructs and looks fully recovered. We think big things are possible for him. 2022 Projection - should begin the season as a regular with low A Clearwater … we think he will excel.

Maikel Garrido - LHP - Birthdate : 1/24/00 - signed as an international free agent - 2/19/18 - Tucacas, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - we first saw Maikel pitch in the Gulf Coast League ( 2019 ) where he showed a capacity to deliver high velocity fastballs but lacked control. This summer he had outings for the 2021 Threshers where he dominated … finished the season with three scoreless appearances totaling seven innings allowing just three hits while striking out nine batters. He also had multiple outings where he struggled due to control and command. We watched him again in Fall Instructs and once again the live arm is evident but control issues prevailed. If he can gain consistency in release point with a repeatable delivery he has the goods to move up the ladder. 2022 Projection - needs a strong spring performance to gain a full season roster spot out of camp … will be just 22 years old for the entire ‘22 season, if can harness the command can move up quickly.

Tristan Garnett - LHP - Birthdate : 3/29/98 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - Cal State Domingues Hills - 7/20/21 … This Fan’s View - Tristan is a big fella ( 6’6” ) who seemingly pitches on a downward slope, when he gets on top of his deliveries it’s an intimidating pitching style, even at a three quarter arm slot his length is a weapon. He appeared in seven FCL games in his initial pro season as well as participating in Fall Instructs. Velocity on the fastball sits in the lower nineties but the release point certainly makes it play up higher. 2022 Projection - with a strong spring could break camp at the high A level.

Wilson Gherbaz - RHP - Birthdate : 9/30/00 - signed as an international free agent - 7/2/18 - Guatire, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - pitched in nine contests during the ‘21 season with eight at the FCL level and one with Clearwater … all in relief. He was solely a starter in the DSL in 2019 making 14 appearances … has issues with throwing strikes as has posted 48 walks in 63 IP over his career. 2022 Projection - will pitch the majority of the ‘22 season as a 21 year old … could open in extended spring and be ready for an opening on a full season roster, needs to work diligently on control of pitches.

Kyle Glogoski - RHP - Birthdate : 1/6/99 - signed as an international free agent - 1/8/18 - Auckland, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - had an outstanding 2019 season recording a 1.98 ERA in 80 1/3 IP at Lakewood and Clearwater. The lack of baseball activity thereafter hurt his development but he still broke 2021 spring camp as a member of the Reading rotation. He went on the injured list on 6/12/21 with an elbow strain and didn’t return to action the balance of the summer. When he’s healthy Kyle has a starters repertoire of pitches including a mid nineties fastball, slider, curve and change up. Before the extended layoff due to the pandemic he was fast tracking upwards. 2022 Projection - hopefully is injury free and able to compete in spring training … if so then a return to Reading as a rotation member is well within reach.

Dalton Guthrie - UTL - Birthdate : 12/23/95 - 2017 6th round draft selection - University of Florida - … This Fan’s View - Dalton had a very good 2021 season for Reading and Lehigh Valley. He had a torrid month of July when he posted a .354/.393/.506 slash line in 79 AB’s including hitting 12 doubles. Went on the injured list on 7/28 and didn’t return to action till 8/28 which cost him a lot of momentum. He hit .303 in 33 September AB’s with Reading on the rehab trail and finished the year with LHV. Played all three outfield spots and 2B,SS and 3B during the summer. 2022 Projection - am hopeful he gets into big league spring action to show the big league staff his capabilities … likely starts the season with the Iron Pigs as a regular in the lineup.

Taylor Guerrieri - RHP - Birthdate : 12/11/92 - signed as a free agent 8/24/21 … This Fan’s View - a veteran hurler who was signed to fill innings - appeared in seven games with Lehigh Valley ( 8 1/3 IP ) 2022 Projection - likely returns to the free agent market else competes for a depth role in spring training.

Jonathan Guzman - 2B/SS - Birthdate : 8/17/99 - signed as an international free agent - 8/17/15 - Esperanza, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - struggled offensively in 2021 with Jersey Shore but finished the season with a good month of September hitting .304 in 46 AB’s … continued to be a solid middle defender at both second base and shortstop. 2022 Projection - the coming season will be a crossroads summer as Jonathan becomes eligible for minor league free agency afterwards … should compete in spring camp for a Reading roster spot with a repeat at Jersey Shore as the fall back.

Matt Goodheart - 1B - Birthdate : 12/10/98 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 7/20/21 - University of Arkansas … This Fan’s View - played in eight FCL games and posted a .381/.458/.429 slash line in 21 AB’s … we saw him in action on a couple of occasions including in Fall Instructs, classic left handed swing … makes good contact and seems to be a very good defensive first baseman. 2022 Projection - should be in the mix for a full season roster assignment in spring camp.

Sal Gozzo - INF - Birthdate : 3/29/98 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 6/11/19 - Tulane University … This Fan’s View - played at three levels during the ‘21 season ( Jersey Shore, Reading & Lehigh Valley ) as a reserve infielder … appeared in 63 games ( 155 AB’s ) at 2B, SS and 3B. The lack of consistent AB’s diminished his production. Good fielder at any infield spot, heady player. 2022 Projection - will compete for a roster spot at either Reading or Lehigh Valley in spring camp.

Oscar Gonzalez - C/1B - Birthdate : 11/21/00 - signed as an international free agent - 7/2/17 - Yaritagua, Venezuela … This Fan’s View -We’ve seen Gonzalez’s strong arm on display a few times, in a Reading ‘21 game he made a throw on what seemed to be a given stolen base to nail the runner. He’s also impressed yours truly with his footwork at first base when he’s played that position … played sparingly appearing in 27 games ( FCL, Jersey Shore and Reading ) and garnered just 52 AB’s … also participated in Fall Instructs. In a very small sample size we like the baseball instincts, strong arm and offensive capabilities. 2022 Projection - will play the entire season as a 21 year old, we’d like to see what he can do as a full season regular, Clearwater seems like a good target to start.

Darick Hall - 1B - Birthdate : 7/25/95 - 2016 14th round draft selection - Dallas Baptist University … This Fan’s View - Darick had a strong spring training and alternate site camp but then got off to a very frustrating start to the regular season. Things picked up in July for the slugging first baseman when he posted a .314 average in 70 AB’s and subsequently in the months that followed produced numbers akin to what we’ve seen throughout his career. ( .280 BA after 7/1/21 with 10 home runs and 45 RBIs in 225 AB’s ). He’s always been a steady run producer, no one has more RBIs in the Phillies minor league system in the past five seasons. Darick is also a strong defender at first base and has provided consistent power. I’ve long touted him as a big league talent, nothing has changed in that regard from my view. 2022 Projection - should participate in big league spring training camp once again with a second LHV assignment probable if he doesn’t earn a big league role.

JD Hammer - RHP - Birthdate : 7/12/94 - acquired in trade with Rockies 7/26/17 - was Rockies 2016 24th round draft selection - Marshall University … This Fan’s View - JD appeared in twenty major league games in 2021 after being promoted on July 10th. He posted a 1.65 ERA in his first 16 appearances with the big club, was optioned back to LHV in September. For the Iron Pigs he was outstanding from May thru July appearing in 17 games with a 1.30 ERA. He’s always had high velocity capabilities ( mid to upper nineties ) … the difference in ‘21 was better control/command and the addition of a slider that he could throw for quality strikes. 2022 Projection - will compete in spring training for a big league bullpen role, fall back being in reserve at Lehigh Valley.

Adam Haseley - OF - Birthdate : 4/12/96 - 2017 1st round draft selection - University of Virginia … This Fan’s View - Adam temporarily walked away from the baseball profession early in the season due to personal reasons, he returned on June 3rd as a member of the Iron Pigs but suffered a groin injury on June 19th that disabled him till July 12th when he made a rehab appearance with the FCL Phillies. Eventually he worked his way back to LHV and posted solid numbers in September hitting .272 in 81 AB’s … he’s a genuinely nice young man, one we definitely root for. 2022 Projection - should participate in big league spring training with an opportunity to make the big club.

Buddy Hayward - RHP - Birthdate : 10/15/98 - signed as an un-drafted amateur free agent - 6/19/20 - Harvard University … This Fan’s View - spent the entire 2021 season working with the injury rehab group at Carpenter Complex after having TJ surgery. 2022 Projection - will continue to work his way back from surgery and hopefully is able to participate in either spring training or extended spring camp.

Tyler Heineman - C - Birthdate : 6/19/91 - signed as a free agent - 7/2/21 … This Fan’s View - a veteran receiver who was signed to fill the gaps created by injuries … played in 20 games with Lehigh Valley and hit .274 in 62 AB’s - has previous major league experience with the Marlins and Giants. 2022 Projection - could see him in big league Spring Training as a non-roster invite, always good to have veteran catchers available if needed.

Josh Hendrickson - LHP - Birthdate : 9/18/97 - 2019 38th round draft selection - San Diego University … This Fan’s View - Josh had a very strong 2021 campaign, he began the year with Jersey Shore and was promoted to Reading on June 8th. He ended the year with the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs after being promoted on September 14th. Josh accumulated 95 2/3 IP and an overall 3.57 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. He’s the epitome of a “crafty left hander” … doesn’t have the high velo offerings ( FB generally 90-93 ) but knows how to pitch and generally has both strong control and command. 2022 Projection - should come into spring training as a contender for a rotation spot with AAA Lehigh Valley.

Jonathan Hennigan - LHP - Birthdate : 8/27/94 - 2016 21st round draft selection - Texas State University … This Fan’s View - Jonathan participated in both big league and minor league spring training and broke camp with Reading which is where he spent the entire ‘21 season. It was an up and down summer, he posted strong numbers in both June and August in 16 of his 32 season appearances but four outings in the other months inflated his season ERA … in 28 games his ERA was 2.52 … in the four outings mentioned he gave up 20 runs in 2 2/3 IP. It’s why season long ERA judgements may not provide a true picture. Jonathan has big league skills, has to find consistency and harness control. 2022 Projection - should be given an opportunity to move up in spring training.

Cristian Hernandez - RHP - Birthdate : 9/23/00 - signed as an international free agent - 7/9/17 - Cumana, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - Cristian had a strong 2021 season as part of the Threshers rotation. He recorded 94 K’s in 75 2/3 IP ( 11.18 K/9 ) and posted a 3.57 ERA in 20 games. He has a three pitch mix with the fastball sitting 94-95 and a curve and changeup. 2022 Projection - will pitch the majority of the season as 21 year old … logical next step would be High A Jersey Shore.

Jakob Hernandez - LHP - Birthdate : 5/9/96 - 2017 21st round draft selection - Texas-Arlington University … This Fan’s View - split the ‘21 season with Reading and Lehigh Valley appearing in 42 games ( 53 1/3 IP ) and posting a 1.33 WHIP. Jakob has a classic straight over the top delivery and a big breaking slider that he used as an out pitch. 2022 Projection - will likely participate in big league spring camp for the second consecutive year with an assignment to Lehigh Valley out of camp.

Chi-Ling Hsu - RHP - Birthdate : 8/9/99 - signed as an international free agent - 7/2/98 - Linyuen, Taiwan … This Fan’s View - pitched in nine games ( 7 in FCL and 2 with Threshers ) in 2021 accumulating 18 1/3 IP posting a 4.42 ERA. 2022 Projection - will compete for a full season roster spot in spring training.

Jonathan Hughes - RHP - Birthdate : 1/8/97 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 6/16/20 - Georgia Tech University … This Fan’s View - pitched the ‘21 season at Jersey Shore appearing in 23 games ( 73 IP ) … struggled at times with control ( 4.56 BB/9 ) but finished the year strong with a good month of September ( 3.60 ERA in 10 1/3 IP ). He’s got very good secondary offerings with high spin rates and movement. 2022 Projection - should compete for a AA rotation spot in spring training.

Herbert Iser - C/1B - Birthdate : 12/14/97 - 2019 23rd round draft selection - Dallas Baptist University … This Fan’s View - showed flashes of raw power that we know he possesses … hit 5 home runs during the ‘21 season including one of the longest drives of the season at Jersey Shore. Participated in Fall Instructs in both 2020 and 2021. Needs consistent playing time to show what he can do … only 236 AB’s in 70 ‘21 games mostly with Jersey Shore. 2022 Projection - will be in the mix for a Reading roster spot in Spring Training.

Sam Jacobsak - RHP - Birthdate : 6/11/98 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 6/14/20 - Northeastern University … This Fan’s View - appeared in six 2021 games ( 4 - FCL & 2 Clearwater ) and posted a 1.54 ERA in 11 2/3 IP. We saw him twice, tall and lanky with four pitch mix, fastball range in lower nineties, decent movement on his pitches … 2022 Projection - should compete for an A level assignment in spring training … needs to accumulate innings and experience

DJ Jefferson - RHP - Birthdate : 1/9/01 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 7/2/19 - Desert Oasis High School, Las Vegas, NV … This Fan’s View - we first saw DJ on the backfields in 2019 GCL action as a teenager where he impressed with a 1.69 ERA in 10 2/3 IP, in 2021 he appeared in 8 games ( 7 - FCL, 1 - Clearwater ) and while many strikeouts were registered his control and command wavered … he has a six pitch mix with the fastball touching 94 this summer, may need to simplify and focus on fewer deliveries … 2022 Projection - should be in the mix for a Clearwater assignment out of spring camp.

Albert Jerez - INF - Birthdate : 5/18/01 - signed as an international free agent - 5/8/18 - Acarigua, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - appeared in 15 FCL games in 2021 after playing the 2018 & 2019 seasons in the DSL … the majority of the summer was spent on the IL. Slender built middle infielder with good defensive actions, we didn’t see enough offensively to comment … 2022 Projection - will turn 21 in May … likely returns for a season of FCL action.

Estibenzon Jimenez - RHP - Birthdate : 1/25/02 - signed as an international free agent - 11/27/19 - San Felipe, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - pitched in 16 DSL games ( 3 starts ) with a 6-0 record, 1.59 ERA, 0.82 WHIP, 41 K’s and 13 BB in 45 1/3 IP. Came to the states for Fall Instructs where we saw him a couple times - showed great mechanics and easy delivery - FB consistently in the 92-93 range. 2022 Projection - will pitch the season as a 20 year old, should be in spring camp vying for a full season role or FCL assignment.

Damon Jones - LHP - Birthdate : 9/30/94 - 2017 18th round draft selection - Washington State University … This Fan’s View - the 2021 regular season was a struggle finding a consistent role along with command and control. What remains evident though is big league talent with a mid nineties fastball and plus slider, just needs to re-find the consistency he displayed during a very good 2019 season when he posted a 2.91 ERA in 114 1/3 IP. Was selected to pitch in the Arizona Fall League … 2022 Projection - should come into spring camp with the opportunity to make the big club in a bullpen role.

Keylan Kilgore - LHP - Birthdate : 9/30/96 - 9/30/96 - 2018 17th round draft selection - Wichita State University … This Fan’s View - had Tommy John surgery and missed the entire ‘21 season. Had a good 2019 season with Clearwater appearing in 36 games ( 3.57 ERA in 53 IP ) … hopefully can return to that form … 2022 Projection - continued rehab to start the season with the goal of returning to action during the summer.

Scott Kingery - UTL - Birthdate : 4/29/94 - 2015 2nd round draft selection - University of Arizona … This Fan’s View - it was a lost year for Scott as his play was limited, he underwent shoulder surgery after being placed on the injured list on July 1st. We still remember “ the best player on the field “ when he played at Reading in 2017, still believe he can get back to that form … 2022 Projection - hopefully the shoulder will be healed in time for spring training and he can compete for a big league role again.

Matt Kroon - OF - Birthdate : 12/5/96 - 2018 18th round draft selection - Oklahoma State University … This Fan’s View - Matt broke camp with Reading but went on the injured list with a shoulder injury in mid May, he didn’t return to action till mid July and eventually worked his way back to Reading after rehab stints with the FCL and Jersey Shore squads. He was outstanding in August and September as the Fightin’s lead off hitter posting a .304 average ( 38 for 125 ) with 5 home runs and 18 RBIs He finished the year with an overall average of .285 in 193 AB’s … defensively he converted to the outfield after beginning his career as an infielder and was Reading’s regular center fielder after returning from the injury … 2022 Projection - could begin ‘22 with Reading again given the limited experience thus far but will move up to LHV quickly if his performance matches how he ended the 2021 season.

Anton Kuznetsov - LHP - Birthdate : 5/26/98 - signed as an international free agent 9/8/16 - Moscow, Russia … This Fan’s View - … went on the IL on July 28th and didn’t return to action, pitched in just six 2021 games ( 1 FCL, 5 - Clearwater ). Relies heavily on location and mix, fastball generally sits upper 80’s but has a big breaking curve ball and deceptive Changeup. 2022 Projection - not sure of his injury status … needs to make a full season squad next season, inexperience is becoming an obstacle to moving up further.

Nick Lackney - LHP - Birthdate : 6/5/97 - 2019 18th round draft selection - University of Minnesota … This Fan’s View - had a very good 2021 season pitching at all four levels of full season play. He started the year with the Threshers appearing in six games without yielding a run, moved up to Jersey Shore for six appearances ( 10 IP - 0.90 ERA ) and then to Reading ( 19 games - 33 2/3 IP - 3.74 ERA ) and made one appearance with Lehigh Valley. Nick features a sinker generally in the 91-93 mph range, a hard slider and a change up … generally pitches off his fast ball with command being key to produce ground ball outs 2022 Projection - would expect him to compete this spring for a Lehigh Valley roster spot … should see some big league ST game action as well.

Brady Lail - RHP - Birthdate : 8/9/93 - waiver claim from Mariners 5/23/21 … This Fan’s View - a veteran reliever who pitched in 31 games for Lehigh Valley ( 40 IP ) and posted a 6.08 ERA and 1.58 WHIP 2022 Projection - Elected minor league free agency 10/13/21

Hao Yu Lee - 2B - Birthdate : 2/3/03 - signed as an international free agent 6/15/21 - New Taipei, Taiwan … This Fan’s View - we first saw Lee in ‘21 FCL action, he’s got a quick swing that also generates plenty of bat speed to drive the baseball, his skills were on display again during Fall Instructs. Defensively we’ve seen him mostly at second base however he also played both shortstop and third base in Instructs. Good skill set all around. 2022 Projection - will be just 19 years old the entire season and has only accumulated 22 AB’s thus far in his stateside career, that being said he’s got advanced skills and could jump into full season play right out of Spring Camp.

Ji Tae Lee - RHP - Birthdate : 1/12/01 - signed as an international free agent 2/2/21 - Suwon, South Korea … This Fan’s View - only three FCL appearances since signing and was very erratic with control, same issues we saw in Extended Spring Training. Hard to define the “stuff” in such a small sample size. 2022 Projection - likely returns to Extended Spring and FCL play to garner more experience.

Marcus Lee Sang - OF - Birthdate : 1/2/01 - 2019 11th round draft selection - Northern High School, Owings, MD … This Fan’s View - has very good bat speed which generates both home run power and the ability to drive the ball into gaps. He’s a good finisher, gets the barrel thru the baseball. Played in 37 2021 games ( 26 - FCL, 11 - Threshers ) and posted a respectable.256 batting average in 121 AB’s with 7 doubles and 5 home runs. Defensively plays all three outfield positions well, good jumps and reads and accurate throwing arm. Good looking player. 2022 Projection - should open the season as at least a regular in Low A ball with Clearwater.

Taylor Lehman - LHP - Birthdate : 12/30/95 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 6/18/18 - Penn State University … This Fan’s View - was off to a solid start to the ‘21 season appearing in five games with Reading before being placed on the injured list on June 8th … underwent Tommy John surgery later that month and spent the balance of the summer with the Clearwater Complex rehab team. 2022 Projection - won’t be ready for Spring Training but hopefully is back in action at some point mid summer.

Adam Leverett - RHP - Birthdate : 9/19/98 - 2019 15th round draft selection - Gordon State Junior College, Georgia … This Fan’s View - had a very solid ‘21 season accumulating 85 1/3 innings at three levels ( Jersey Shore, Reading & Lehigh Valley ). He’s a command and control pitcher who can also produce strikeouts with a four pitch mix. Fastball generally sits in the 90-93 range and secondaries have good spin and movement. He knows how to pitch and generally attacks hitters with minimal free passes. 2022 Projection - we envision Adam either breaking camp with Reading or Lehigh Valley as a rotation member, had only eight starts at Reading in 2021 so there’s merit to gaining more experience at the AA level.

Hsin-Chieh Lin - RHP - Birthdate : 3/18/99 - signed as an international free agent - 6/5/18 - Taipei, Taiwan … This Fan’s View - when we first saw Lin in 2019 GCL play he was part of a team no hitter pitching 3 2/3 innings in a game on Ashburn Field. It was his only appearance in the GCL that season as he was quickly promoted to Williamsport. We remembered a very active fast ball that sat in the 92-94 range. We saw a different pitcher in 2021 as velocity was down to the 89-90 range with both Clearwater and the FCL Phillies … we attribute that to a lot of missed training time due to the pandemic. He’s a four pitch pitcher that’s capable of producing swings and misses at a high rate. 2022 Projection - needs to gain back back arm speed … with a good spring camp should be in line for a rotation spot at the A level of play.

Ethan Lindow - LHP - Birthdate : 10/15/98 - 2017 5th round draft selection - Locust Grove High School, Locust Grove, Georgia … This Fan’s View - broke ‘21 camp with Reading but struggled to find consistency and was transferred to Jersey Shore on June 8th where he put up decent numbers - 3.21 ERA in 12 games ( 67 1/3 IP ) … had an outstanding month of July posting a 1.55 ERA in 29 IP with 24 K’s and only 5 walks … didn’t yield a run in his last three July starts ( 18 IP ). He went on the injured list on August 20th with elbow issues and finished the year with the rehab team during Fall Instructs in Clearwater. When he’s going well Ethan is the ultimate control and command hurler who has strikeout stuff, very strong secondary offerings. Velocity generally sits lower nineties … the movement on his deliveries is very good. Was the winner of the 2019 Paul Owens Award when he posted a 2.52 ERA in 110 2/3 IP at the A level of play. 2022 Projection - if good health prevails there’s no reason that he can’t earn a Reading rotation spot out of spring training camp once again.

Mauricio Llovera - RHP - Birthdate : 4/17/96 - signed as an international free agent - 2/12/15 - El Tigre, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - was moved to a bullpen role full time in 2021 albeit did make four spot starts with Lehigh Valley … appeared in 32 games for the Iron Pigs ( 52 IP ) and recorded a 3.46 ERA … finished the season strong posting a 1.83 ERA in 19 2/3 IP during September/October … made six big league appearances with the Phillies during the season. Has the ability to fire the FB in the mid to upper nineties and uses a slider and changeup as secondaries. 2022 Projection - eligible for minor league free agency

Victor Lopez - RHP - Birthdate : 9/2/99 - signed as an international free agent - 3/30/19 - Tenares, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - put up solid numbers at three levels ( FCL, Clearwater & Jersey Shore ) posting an overall 2.60 ERA in 17 games ( 27 2/3 IP - 27 K’s, 9 walks ). He has a five pitch mix with the fastball sitting low nineties, generally relies heavily on a cutter and curve as primary offerings with movement on each being out makers. Was a starter in 2019 DSL and pitched multiple innings as a reliever in 2021. Strike thrower. 2022 Projection - will pitch most of the season as a 22 year old, has the repertoire to be a starter … could break spring camp in a piggy back role with Jersey Shore or higher as a reliever.

Fernando Lozano - RHP - Birthdate : 1/11/00 - signed as an international free agent - 4/25/19 - Ensenada Baja California, Mexico … This Fan’s View - a very cerebral pitcher who knows how to read hitters and adjust during games. Had a solid 2021 campaign with Clearwater posting a 2.60 ERA in 17 games ( 52 IP ) with a 1.10 WHIP ( 51 K’s, 21 BB ). Team Covid issues forced an early ending to the season for him, he went on IL in early August and didn’t return to action till early September making two FCL appearances. We like his moxy, repertoire ( four pitches - low 90’s velocity - FB ), mechanics and approach. Gets the job done. 2022 Projection - with a good spring camp likely heads to Jersey Shore to begin the season.

Edgar Made - INF - Birthdate : 12/15/99 - signed as an international free agent - 7/8/16 - Bani, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - Edgar had a very productive 2019 season as he hit .314 in 48 GCL games ( 188 AB’s ) and was positioned for seemingly a full season assignment thereafter, the 2020 layoff hurt him as it did many players without opportunities to work. He accumulated 136 AB’s in 2021 primarily with the Threshers in a part time role. He’s a switch hitter who’s capable of playing all four infield positions plus the outfield, we liked the bat in 2019 we saw on the backfields, short and quick thru the ball. 2022 Projection - will play the ‘22 season as a 22 year old, should compete for a full season role at the A level in spring camp.

Rafael Marcano - LHP - Birthdate : 4/20/00 - signed as an international free agent - 4/25/18 - Punta Cardon, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - Rafael was a key part of the ‘21 piggyback rotation with the Threshers. He pitched in 20 games, two in the FCL ( 57 IP ) and posted a 3.63 ERA with 72 K’s. Using a three pitch mix ( FB, Curve & Changeup ) with the heater generally sitting 92-94 mph ( flashes on occasion at 95 ) … he’s comparable in style, delivery, competitiveness and demeanor to Ranger Suarez when he was a 21 year old. 2022 Projection - will be 22 years old for the new season, we see him likely advancing to Jersey Shore out of Spring Camp.

Rafael Marchan - C - Birthdate : 2/25/99 - signed as an international free agent - 7/3/15 - San Cristobal, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - Rafael accumulated 294 AB’s in 88 games ( 20 - Phillies, 67 - LHV, 1 - Reading ) in 2021 as he was on the yo-yo ride between Philly and Allentown. It made it difficult to find any consistency for him, he actually hit better in the major leagues than he did in the minors. Highly regarded as a skilled defender, he has a very strong throwing arm and excellent mechanics as a receiver. The offensive skill set is evident when you watch him day to day as well, we’ve seen him play since first impressions were made in 2018 Fall Instructs. Has the ability to be a regular in the show. 2022 Projection - will be 23 years old for the new season, should compete in camp for a role with the big club, we feel he needs a full season of reps at AAA to finish minor league development. Major league skill set.

Brian Marconi - LHP - Birthdate : 5/9/97 - signed as an un-drafted free agent 6/12/19 - George Mason University … This Fan’s View - had an outstanding ‘21 season at Reading and earned league all-star honors as the loop’s top reliever. Brian pitched at three levels during the summer ( Jersey Shore, Reading & Lehigh Valley ) but excelled at the AA level posting a 2.24 ERA in 34 appearances ( 43 2/3 IP - 56 K’s, 21 BB, 15 saves ). He’s not a high velocity hurler ( FB generally in the 90-92 range ) but has a delivery release point that induces swings and misses, also throws a plus curve ball. 2022 Projection - should compete in the spring for a Lehigh Valley assignment.

Hunter Markwardt - OF - Birthdate : 8/22/97 - 2019 13th round draft selection - Oklahoma Christian University … This Fan’s View - speed is a huge asset for Hunter, he’s a smart player who has plus wheels that he uses both offensively and defensively. The 2021 season had it’s challenges as he landed on the IL in June with what seemed to be a short stint but was caught in the Covid team issues at Clearwater during his rehab assignment and didn’t return to action till a month later with Jersey Shore. He had a great month of May between Clearwater and Jersey Shore hitting at a .320 clip in 75 AB’s. Played at three levels during the summer, FCL, Clearwater and Jersey Shore … stole 20 bases in 22 attempts. Has the ability to get on base at a high percentage, puts the ball in play … has generally been a singles hitter but has shown some pop as well. Very pleasant personality. 2022 Projection - we see him competing for a Reading roster spot in the spring.

Casey Martin - 2B/SS - Birthdate : 4/7/99 - 2020 3rd round draft selection - University of Arkansas … This Fan’s View - Casey had a strong month of June with Clearwater ( .357 average in 56 AB’s ) that earned him a promotion to Jersey Shore but struggled thereafter, he finished the season back with the Threshers being re-assigned in July. He suffered a season ending injury in early September and spent Fall Instructs in a walking book working with the rehab team at the Complex, hopefully will be ready to go in spring camp. We saw him multiple times, is a good defender at both shortstop and second base, wide range at either position and good arm. Offensively the swing gets long and he’s prone to strikeouts ( 120 in 374 AB’s ) but he also showed the ability to drive the ball ( 21 doubles, 7 home runs ). Has decent speed ( 17 stolen bases ) … perhaps a refined hitting approach could lead to top of the order capabilities. 2022 Projection - dependent on injury rehab … will be just his 2nd pro season - if healthy likely starts the year at Jersey Shore out of spring camp.

Jordi Martinez - LHP - Birthdate : 7/18/00 - signed as an international free agent - 1/22/18 - Santiago, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - we first saw Jordi pitch in 2019 Fall Instructs and came away thinking “Wow” … ball seemed to jump out of his hand with a relatively short arm delivery. In early 2021 he was popping the mitt consistently in the 92-96 range even flashing 97 mph on occasion. He has a four pitch mix ( four seam, sinker, slider and change ) but definitely pitches off the fastball’s movement and velocity. We’ve noticed that he doesn’t incorporate his legs much into his delivery, generally is straight up at release point. He had an outstanding month of June with the Threshers ( 1.53 ERA in 17 2/3 IP, 21 K’s, 8 walks ) but went on the injured list on July 13th and didn’t pitch thereafter ( forearm strain ). Big talent but has only accumulated 44 IP from 2019 thru 2021. 2022 Projection - will be 21 years of age thru the first couple months of the season if able to perform, lack of innings to date could mean a return assignment to Clearwater to start, has a big arm and electric stuff … all depends on health whether he advances.

Nick Matera - C - Birthdate : 8/29/96 - 2018 34th round draft selection - Rutgers University … This Fan’s View - Nick had become the primary catcher for Reading after having a strong ‘21 minor league spring camp but suffered a knee injury in June and didn’t return to game action till August with a rehab assignment in the FCL. He played in 40 games altogether ( FCL, Clearwater, Jersey Shore & Reading ) and finished the year in Fall Instructs to garner more AB’s … hit a grand slam home run in Instructs during the last week of play. Solid defender behind the dish who has a game presence, strong arm and good receiving skills. At the plate we’ve seen the ability to hit the ball hard and out of the park. 2022 Projection - works hard at his craft, should return to at least Reading after spring camp with potential to be at Lehigh Valley as well, we see a skill set that can catch at the big league level if given the opportunity, especially in a back up role.

Nick Maton - INF - Birthdate : 2/18/97 - 2017 7th round draft selection - Lincoln Land Community College - Illinois … This Fan’s View - Nick made his major league debut on 4/19/21 after being selected from the Alternate Camp. He played in 52 games and hit a respectable .256 … hit .333 in April in 39 AB’s. Nick played in 63 games with the Iron Pigs and was optioned/recalled five times during the season. He’s got very quick hands and a short Utley like swing, drives the ball well and has home run pop. He’s played primarily shortstop in his minor league career but has also seen time at second, third and in 2021 center field. There’s a big league skill set that will eventually earn him a full time assignment in the show. 2022 Projection - will be in major league spring training with an opportunity to break camp with the big club, at the least provides depth in the middle infield if assigned to Lehigh Valley.

Gunner Mayer - RHP - Birthdate : 7/27/00 - 2019 5th round draft selection - San Joaquin Delta JC, San Joaquin Delta JC, CA … This Fan’s View - Gunner began the ‘21 season as part of the Threshers piggyback rotation. He went on the IL on May 12th and didn’t return to action till June 29th. He did another stint on the IL from August 3rd till the 31st when the team had Covid issues and multiple players were quarantined. He pitched just 26 1/3 innings over 13 games ( FCL & Clearwater ), struggled with control issuing 22 walks but also struck out 38 batters. His fastball sat in the 92-94 mph range, he also features a curve and change up. Very lively fastball that produces a lot of swings and misses. Needs to build up innings to harness command, raw stuff has upper level potential. 2022 Projection - will pitch half the season as a 21 year old, with the lack of experience he’s likely to begin the season with Low A Clearwater unless he pushes his way to Jersey Shore in spring training.

James McArthur - RHP - Birthdate : 12/11/96 - 2018 12th round draft selection - University of Mississippi … This Fan’s View - has always had big arm capabilities … fastball registers in the upper nineties, generally sits in the 93-95 range. His 6’7” height produces a pitch release point and arm angle that gets on the hitter quickly and adds deception as well as an elusion of even higher velocity. Secondary offerings are a curve/slider and change-up. He finished the ‘21 regular season strong with Reading by posting a 2.70 ERA in his last seven games ( 33 1/3 IP ). He also pitched in the Arizona Fall League. 2022 Projection - should move up to the AAA level of competition and provide depth as a starter for the big club. A major league debut is within reach.

Tommy McCollum - RHP - Birthdate : 6/8/99 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 7/20/21 - Wingate University, Wingate, NC … This Fan’s View - appeared in nine 2021 games with Clearwater in his initial season, struggled with control ( 16 walks in 12 2/3 IP ) … has four pitches ( FB, Sinker, Slider and Cutter ). Fastball sits in the low nineties. We saw him in Fall Instructs, needs to find a consistent release point in order to throw strikes. 2022 Projection - will compete for an A level role in spring camp.

Griff McGarry - RHP - Birthdate : 6/8/99 - 2021 5th round draft selection - University of Virginia … This Fan’s View - we saw Griff pitch a couple of times in Fall Instructs after he pitched in eight games with Clearwater and Jersey Shore ( 24 1/3 IP - 2.96 ERA - 43 K’s - 14 walks ) … fastball is in the 93-97 ( sinker & four seamer ) range with life, also throws a change-up, curve and slider. Can be a quick riser, stuff is upper level ready. 2022 Projection - could break camp with AA Reading as part of the rotation else a return to Jersey Shore to start would be in order.

Christian McGowan - RHP - Birthdate : 3/7/00 - 2021 7th round draft selection - Eastern Oklahoma State JC … This Fan’s View - pitched five scoreless innings in four 2021 games ( 1 - FCL, 3 - Clearwater ) with a WHIP of 0.60 and 8 K’s, 1 BB. Four seam fastball is in the 94-97 range, sinker 93-96 and slider 81-85 , change-up is an out pitch that offsets the power arsenal … pure power arm that can dominate hitters. 2022 Projection - will be 22 years old for the entire season, has four offerings so will be developed as a starter - could break spring camp with Clearwater.

Tyler McKay - RHP - Birthdate : 8/18/97 - 2018 16th round draft selection - Howard JC, Howard JC, TX … This Fan’s View - began the year with Jersey Shore as a piggyback rotation member but went on the IL on June 12th with shoulder impingement syndrome. He returned in mid July and pitched well in nine games ( 32 2/3 IP - 3.30 ERA ) thru August including tossing six perfect innings on August 14th against Hudson Valley. He’s got a power arsenal, mid nineties fastball capabilities. 2022 Projection - if can maintain good health is a viable candidate for a role with Reading out of spring camp.

Jake McKenna - LHP - Birthdate : 4/24/02 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 6/18/20 - Ocean City High School, Ocean City, NJ … This Fan’s View - Jake can light up the speed gun into the 95-96 mph range … he pitched in six FCL games in 2021 ( 6 IP ) and posted 13 K’s but also 12 walks … battled control and command. We saw him in Fall Instructs where he pitched very well, best we’ve seen him in regards to making quality pitches. Is a hard worker who’s dedicated to learning and advancing. 2022 Projection - will pitch the entire season as a 20 year old, needs to gain experience, could come in the FCL or Clearwater else a combination of both.

Alex McKenney - RHP - Birthdate : 5/11/99 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 7/21/21 - University of Maine … This Fan’s View - appeared in nine games with the Threshers ( 1.56 ERA in 17 1/3 IP - 17 K’s, 10 BB ) … features a heavy sinker ( 91-95 mph range ), slider and curve with a split finger pitch to boot that has diving action. Alex had Tommy John surgery in 2018 and missed the 2019 & 2020 seasons, his velocity has returned this year but many feel there’s more in the tank, with additional experience could get into the upper nineties. 2022 Projection - was a starter in college so might be developed in that realm however with a power arsenal and good secondary offsets might find a role in the space of multi inning reliever which has become a very important role in baseball. Likely starts season either way at High A level.

Adonis Medina - RHP - Birthdate : 12/18/96 - signed as an international free agent - 5/29/14 - Santo Domingo Centro, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - we’ve always felt that Adonis can pitch in the show, just needs the confidence and consistency to do so. He made four 2021 appearances with the Phillies and posted a 3.52 ERA in 7 2/3 innings. At Lehigh Valley he made 17 starts ( 65 2/3 IP ) … spent almost four weeks in July on the IL. Four pitch mix with the fastball generally in the 91-94 mph range, can touch higher. When he’s on produces a lot of soft contact, not necessarily a strikeout pitcher. 2022 Projection - should be in big league camp with an opportunity to make the club, at the least will provide starting depth at Lehigh Valley … is out of roster options though.

Oswald Medina - RHP - Birthdate : 12/2/01 - signed as an international free agent - 5/9/19 - Puerto Cabello, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - he had an outstanding 2021 season with the DSL Phillies Red team ( 14 starts - 2.16 ERA in 58 1/3 IP - 0.93 WHIP, 65 K’s and a minuscule 6 walks ) - we saw him in Florida Instructs … great control and command, FB range sits 89-92 but plenty of room to grow with added strength. 2022 Projection - will pitch as a 20 year old the entire season, should see him stateside either in FCL or with the Threshers.

Adony Mejia - C - Birthdate : 6/9/01 - signed as an international free agent - 12/7/18 - San Pedro de Macoris, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - came stateside on 8/28/21 after posting a .316 batting average in 57 DSL AB’s - we saw him in both FCL action and Fall Instructs. Wiry build, looks to have very good mechanics as a receiver with a strong arm. Offensively we’ve seen him drive the ball with authority, also runs well. 2022 Projection - should play stateside either in the FCL or with the Threshers.

Jhordany Mezquita - LHP - Birthdate : 1/30/98 - 2017 8th round draft selection - Hazelton, PA … This Fan’s View - Jhordany closed out the season with perhaps his best outing going six innings against Brooklyn on September 19th allowing one run in just two hits. His season overall was inconsistent ( 21 games - 75 1/3 IP - 1.61 WHIP between Jersey Shore & Reading ) with command and control being the primary issues. He’s capable of mid nineties velocity on his fastball and has secondaries that are out makers - needs to find a repeatable delivery and mindset for success. 2022 Projection - will compete in the Spring for a roll, presumably as a starter, with Reading as the target.

Erik Miller - LHP - Birthdate : 2/13/98 - 2019 4th round draft selection - Stanford University … This Fan’s View - 2021 was a frustrating year physically for the talented hurler, shoulder issues sidelined him from participating in big league spring training and lingered through out the summer. He was limited to 5 games ( 12 2/3 IP ) with the FCL Phillies, Clearwater and Jersey Shore. When he’s healthy the fastball posts as high as 98 mph and generally sits between 93 to 95. He throws both a sinker and four seam fastball with a curve, slider and change up as secondaries. We saw him pitch in Fall Instructs in preparation for the Arizona Fall League where he was sent to work innings missed during the summer months. 2022 Projection - has the stuff and mental makeup to get to the show, needs good health and experience … if he gets both of those we see a chance to break spring camp with AA Reading.

Luke Miller - 1B - Birthdate : 7/17/96 - 2018 22nd round draft selection - Indiana University … This Fan’s View - Luke was amongst the organization leaders in home runs with 13 despite playing in a reserve role ( 277 AB’s ). He’s a smart baseball player, well schooled fundamentally … what I often refer to as a “Cardinals type player”. We enjoy watching him play as he rarely ever makes a mistake. 2022 Projection - could either return to Reading or move up a notch, can play other positions than 1B, we’ve seen him at 3B and the outfield, versatility is definitely a plus.

Freylin Minyety - INF - Birthdate : 10/22/99 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 7/20/21 Wabash Valley JC, Wabash Valley JC, IL … This Fan’s View - whenever we’ve seen Freylin play he seemingly always gets multiple hits or at the least sharply puts the ball in play. We had a conversation with the scout that signed him during Fall Instructs and he stated the same. He hit .286 with a .423 OBP at Clearwater in 28 games ( 84 AB’s ) with 3 homers and 13 RBIs. In Instructs he continued to barrel the baseball consistently over the four weeks of camp. We know he can hit, defensively will need to find a spot, has worked at both second and third base. We must mention that leadership skills are also evident, saw him take charge of on field conversations multiple times during Fall Instructs. 2022 Projection - likely starts the season as a regular with Jersey Shore.

Francisco Morales - RHP - Birthdate : 10/27/99 - signed as an international free agent - 7/2/16 - San Juan de los Morros, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - Francisco is a powerfully built pitcher who possesses a major league skill set, fastball can sit in mid to upper nineties, slider is a true weapon and changeup provides a softer offering. The issues to date have been consistent command, stuff plays but he’s wavered in the ability to throw strikes. During the 2021 season he had an excellent month of July posting a 3.00 ERA over five starts ( 24 IP - 22 Ks ) but even then the walks were too often ( 14 ). On July 3rd he pitched six innings in a combined no hitter versus Erie and finished the regular season in September with 10 scoreless frames over two games ( one with Reading, one with Lehigh Valley ) allowing just three hits while punching out 14 batters. He pitched at AA and AAA as a 21 year old totaling 91 2/3 IP and posting 117 K’s ( the only Phillies minor leaguer with over 100 K’s in ‘21 ). Can be a really good one if can harness the control/command. 2022 Projection - should be part of either the Reading or Lehigh Valley rotation coming out of spring camp, if he shows the ability to throw strikes it will be Lehigh Valley with a call up to the show not out of reach during the season.

Mickey Moniak - OF - Birthdate : 5/13/98 - 2016 1st round draft selection - La Costa Canyon High School , Carlsbad, CA … This Fan’s View - Mickey had a good 2021 big league spring training camp and many thought he may actually break camp with the Phillies. Instead he went to alternate camp in Allentown, was recalled to the show on May 5th and ended up being recalled/optioned six times during the season. He got off to a slow start when the AAA season began but had a torrid month of July ( .342 average in 79 AB’s ) … he finished the year with 15 doubles, 8 triples, 15 home runs and 65 RBIs leading the minor league organization in triples and RBIs. He also played in 21 major league games. In our opinion he will be a major league contributor at some point, finding alignment and consistency in offensive approach albeit with an ability to adjust is key to his full realization of talent. There’s untapped potential to be realized. 2022 Projection - will participate in big league camp and afforded an opportunity to make the big club. Either will do so or return for a second year at Lehigh Valley.

Simon Muzziotti - OF - Birthdate : 12/27/98 - signed as an international free agent - 7/5/16 - Cumana, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - missed the majority of the ‘21 season as was unable to get back to the states after spending the majority of 2020 training in the Clearwater area when getting back to Venezuela was difficult. Once stateside he played in 20 games at all five levels garnering 79 AB’s and recording a .296 batting average and .375 OBP. He also participated in the Arizona Fall League. Simon is a prototype leadoff hitter with the exception of drawing walks, he generally puts the ball in play and has very good speed … isn’t necessarily a power bat but can drive the ball out of the yard on occasion. He’s a very good defensive outfielder, primarily in center field. If he had been able to arrive earlier during the summer he was seemingly slated to be a regular with Reading. Big league skill set … just needs more experience at the upper levels. 2022 Projection - hopefully will be in big league spring training camp … could turn heads with his abilities - likely starts the season at either Reading or Lehigh Valley.

Andrik Nava - C - Birthdate : 10/6/01 - signed as an international free agent 7/2/18 - Cabimas, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - missed almost the entire 2021 season with a shoulder issue playing briefly in 3 FCL games. We saw him in 2019 GCL action as a 18 year old when he hit .314 in 156 AB’s … defensively wasn’t as advanced as others, missing the last two seasons definitely hinders development. 2022 Projection - if healthy would compete for a Threshers roster spot.

Braedon Ogle - LHP - Birthdate : 7/30/97 - acquired in trade with Pirates 7/30/21 - was Pittsburgh’s 4th round draft choice - 2016 - Jensen Beach HS, Jensen Beach, FL … This Fan’s View - appeared in 20 games with Lehigh Valley after being acquired, struggled to find the strike zone and to make quality pitches when he did so … mid nineties fastball capability. 2022 Projection - needs to gain footing to have a chance at a bullpen role at either LHV or with the Phillies in spring camp.

Logan O’Hoppe - C - Birthdate : 2/9/00 - 2018 23rd round draft selection - Saint John the Baptist High School , West Islip, NY … This Fan’s View - had an outstanding 2021 season playing at three levels ( Jersey Shore, Reading and Lehigh Valley ) with the majority of the summer at Jersey Shore … 17 home runs, 58 RBIs, 19 doubles and an overall batting average of .270 in 393 AB’s. Great leadership skills, strong arm and mechanics defensively … participated in the Arizona Fall League … sure looks to be on path to the big leagues. 2022 Projection - likely breaks spring camp as the starting receiver for Reading with an eye for an in season promotion to LHV … will play in 2022 as a 22 year old.

Junior Ortega - OF - Birthdate : 9/30/99 - 9/30/17 - signed as an international free agent - Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - appeared in 24 games during the ‘21 season with the FCL Phillies and Threshers ( 4 games ) accumulating 54 AB’s … we saw him on the backfields on a couple occasions, strongly built with some pop. Truly didn’t see enough to comment further. 2022 Projection - will look to earn a full season spot in spring camp.

Jhailyn Ortiz - OF - Birthdate : 11/18/98 - 7/10/15 - signed as an international free agent - Jarabacoa, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - had the best year of his six year career to date in 2021 … led the Phillies minor league organization in home runs with 23 … drove in 54 runs and posted a .346 OBP … had an outstanding month of July hitting 13 home runs and posting a .289 batting average in 90 AB’s. Spent the majority of the summer with Jersey Shore before being promoted to Reading on July 31st. Has easy power that drives the baseball long distances. 2022 Projection - we see him in big league spring camp … either starts the season with Reading ( likely ) or Lehigh Valley.

Matt Osterberg - LHP - Birthdate : 4/21/99 - 2021 15th round draft selection - St. Cloud State, St. Cloud State, MN … This Fan’s View - pitched in 8 ballgames ( 7 - Clearwater & 1 - FCL ) posting a 1.74 ERA in 20 2/3 IP with 24 K’s and 9 walks … four pitch mix ( FB, sinker, change & slider ) with FB generally in the 90-93 range. We see him as a multi inning reliever as he develops … strike thrower with decent movement. 2022 Projection - should be in the mix for a High A roster spot in Spring Camp.

Micah Ottenbreit - RHP - Birthdate : 5/7/03 - 2021 4th round draft selection - Trenton High School , Trenton, MI … This Fan’s View - we saw him in Fall Instructs, great form and mechanics … well schooled - three pitch mix with FB generally in the 89-92 range but flashes a couple ticks higher, also has a curve and changeup. Pitched in five FCL contests during the summer. We talked with a scout from the Blue Jays about him and he raved, said there was tremendous upside possible with Micah. 2022 Projection - will pitch the entire season as a teenager, we envision time spent in extended spring training and then in the FCL summer rotation.

Andrew Painter - RHP - Birthdate : 4/10/03 - 2021 1st round draft selection - Calvary Christian, Fort Lauderdale, FL … This Fan’s View - Andrew made four appearances in the FCL ( total of 6 IP ) and didn’t yield a run, he struck out 12 batters with no walks. He pitched as advertised … fastball consistently in the 97-100 mph range during fall instructs ( albeit short stints ) with three secondary offerings ( curve, slider & change ). He will likely sit mid nineties as a starter, electric stuff though that can seemingly dominate. 2022 Projection - he will pitch the majority of the season as a nineteen year old … likely at least starts the season at Clearwater in Low A ball.

David Parkinson - LHP - Birthdate : 12/14/95 - 2017 12th round draft selection - University of Mississippi … This Fan’s View - it was a struggle in 2021 for David … his

BB/9 rate was the highest in his career and the command artist never seemed to get comfortable. He appeared in 21 games, the last with AA Reading after spending the majority of the year with Lehigh Valley. The bulldog mentality still exists that we’ve seen throughout his career, he won the Paul Owens Award in 2018 when he posted a 1.45 ERA in 124 1/3 IP at the A level … confidence that a return to form as a precision location pitcher is high. 2022 Projection - will be in the mix to return to LHV out of spring camp.

David Paulino - RHP - Birthdate : 2/6/94 - signed as a minor league free agent 1/18/21 … This Fan’s View - pitched in 31 games ( Lehigh Valley & Reading ) in 2021 posting a respectable 3.87 ERA in 81 1/3 IP, even appeared in one game with the Phillies on August 13th. Veteran presence in the minors who brings the heater in the 93-95 range consistently. 2022 Projection - could be in big league camp as a non-roster invite

Ben Pelletier - OF - Birthdate : 8/22/98 - 2015 34th round draft selection - De Mortagne, Boucherville, QC … This Fan’s View - 2021 was a down year for Ben, he began the year with Clearwater but went on the IL on June 9th with a shoulder injury and didn’t return until mid July. In total he played in 50 games ( FCL, Clearwater & Jersey Shore ) accumulating 157 AB’s ( about half of what he achieved in 2019 ). He has a powerful swing and has shown the ability to drive the baseball out of the yard. Inconsistent contact and strikeouts have been a hindrance. 2022 Projection - in spring camp should compete for a AA level role with the fallback being a return to Jersey Shore.

Jose Pena Jr - RHP - Birthdate : 7/8/03 - 2021 6th round draft selection - Tampa Prep, Tampa, FL … This Fan’s View - we saw Jose pitch in both FCL games and Fall Instructs. There was a comparable delivery to Hector Neris the first time we watched, he’s got big arm capabilities … FB sits 93/94 and has touched higher. Secondary offerings are a curve and change up. Physically mature as a teenager and with added strength and conditioning playing an extended pro season shouldn’t be an issue. Attacks on the hill, gets the ball and throws it, no wasted effort. Anxious to see his continued development. 2022 Projection - will be just 18 for half the season, likely begins in extended spring, then FCL and perhaps a few appearances with Clearwater.

Rickardo Perez - C - Birthdate : 12/4/03 - signed as an international free agent 2/2/21 - Valencia, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - ‘21 Fall Instructs was our first glimpse of Rickardo in action although brief. He appears to have good mechanics as a receiver and soft hands. At the plate we saw him hit a couple balls into the gaps in scrimmages for extra bases, also seems to run well. He played in 43 DSL games during the summer posting a .256 average and .370 OBP in 146 plate appearances. 2022 Projection - will play the entire season as an 18 year old, that could either be stateside in the FCL else back again to the Dominican Academy for another year in the DSL.

Jack Perkins - RHP - Birthdate : 8/6/97 - 2018 11th round draft selection - Stetson University … This Fan’s View - 2021 was a strong year for Mr. Perkins, it was the first season he hurled over 100 innings as he made 23 game appearances ( 20 starts ) between Jersey Shore, Reading and Lehigh Valley ). The month of July was his best posting a 3.67 ERA in five games ( 27 IP ) with a 1.37 WHIP. Jack has a starter’s mix, FB, Curve, Slider, Change-up … FB generally in the 91-93 range with the secondaries capable of swings and misses, he won’t beat himself, throws strikes and primarily pitches to contact … 2022 Projection - should compete in spring camp for a rotation role with Lehigh Valley, providing a call up option to Phillies when needed.

Jackie Pertuz - C - Birthdate : 11/1/02 - signed as an international free agent 7/2/19 - Barranquilla, Colombia … This Fan’s View - came stateside for ‘21 Fall Instructs, we saw him in action briefly. Left handed hitter … posted a .262 batting average and .350 OBP in 143 plate appearances in the DSL. 2022 Projection - will play the season as a 19 year old, could either do so in FCL or DSL … just needs to accumulate experience.

Corey Phelan - LHP - Birthdate : 7/3/02 - signed as an un-drafted free agent 8/12/20 - Harborfields High School, Greenlawn, NY … This Fan’s View - appeared in five FCL games ( 9 2/3 IP ) … 0.93 ERA and 1.14 WHIP. Has a smooth and compact delivery, didn’t force or overthrow in the two times we’ve seen him thus far. Velocity is in upper eighties, low nineties but that will increase with further strength and conditioning. 2022 Projection - will pitch half the season as a teenager, in spring camp likely gets a chance to earn a Clearwater roster spot, a full exposure to FCL play could be beneficial as well.

Kervin Pichardo - INF - Birthdate : 10/15/01 - signed as an un-drafted free agent 6/24/19 - Bronx, New York … This Fan’s View - played in 35 games ( FCL, Clearwater and Jersey Shore ) in 2021 - 6 doubles, 2 triples and 2 home runs in 105 PA’s with a .476 OBP as he drew 28 walks … we saw an ability to barrel the ball and drive it with authority along with a plate discipline to not get himself out. As a fielder he played 1B, 2B and 3B and also played SS in the DSL. We saw him also take reps in the outfield during extended spring. Angular build, quick and athletic. 2022 Projection - we envision a full season roster assignment out of spring camp either with Clearwater or Jersey Shore … good skills, could blossom.

Leandro Pineda - OF - Birthdate : 6/4/02 - signed as an international free agent - 7/6/18 - Valencia, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - played in 33 FCL games in 2021 and while the numbers don’t show great success there were glimpses of what might be, in particular a two hit game against the Tigers on July 16th. Left handed hitter and thrower. 2022 Projection - won’t turn 20 till June, a return engagement in extended spring and FCL could be in order.

Nicoly Pina - RHP - Birthdate : 10/8/99 - signed as an international free agent - 5/3/18 - San Juan de la Maguana, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - we like this young man a lot, he missed the entire 2021 season rehabbing from Tommy John surgery. In 2019 we saw him in GCL play and Fall Instructs, power arm with fastball mid to upper nineties and sharp slider, has a presence of a future closer. Doesn’t scare or back down from challenges. 2022 Projection - steady progress being made, we saw him throwing in Fall Instructs, when he’s healthy hopefully will get a full season opportunity, we think he can be very good.

Dominic Pipkin - RHP - Birthdate : 11/5/99 - 2018 9th round draft selection - Pinole Valley High School , Pinole, CA … This Fan’s View - the 2020 season cancellation was difficult for Dominic as he was limited to finding places to train, he did attend 2020 Fall Instructs. It didn’t hinder him from earning a rotation spot during 2021 spring camp … he pitched in 16 games ( 58 IP ) before being shut down in late August. The ability to bring the heater consistently in the mid to upper nineties coupled with a progressing curve and changeup is certainly a big league profile … in his two starts on 6/27 and 7/3 in which he tossed a combined eleven scoreless frames ( 6 H, 0 BB, 10 K’s ) we saw what might be. Needs to harness command/control as most power pitchers do but has the goods to climb the ladder. 2022 Projection - we expect him to break spring camp with the Reading Fightins.

Mark Potter - RHP - Birthdate : 11/12/97 - 2018 19th round draft selection - College of Central Florida … This Fan’s View - a power reliever with a fastball, curve and change up Mark generally sits 93-96 with the heater. He pushed his way to Reading in 2021 but landed on the IL on May 18th and didn’t return till a full month later going to Jersey Shore and finishing the year with the Blue Claws. While he produced 54 K’s in 38 IP control was an issue as evidenced by 24 walks. Needs to find consistency to reach potential. 2022 Projection - spring camp will determine starting point, a good camp could land him a roster spot in Reading.

Anthony Quirion - C - Birthdate : 10/29/97 - signed as an un-drafted free agent 7/20/21 - Lamar University … This Fan’s View - played in eleven GCL games ( 11 AB, 1 triple, 2 HR, 5 RBIs - .313 batting average ) … we saw him play in both the FCL and Fall Instructs. First impressions are that he’s got quick hands as a hitter, we witnessed the ability to drive the ball, a triple in Fall Instructs comes to mind specifically as he tattooed the left center field wall with a laser like line drive. Defensively he will focus on catching albeit he played extensively as a third baseman as well in college. 2022 Projection - we think a target location out of spring training will be High A Jersey Shore.

Baron Radcliff - OF - Birthdate : 2/9/99 - 2020 5th round draft selection - Georgia Tech University … This Fan’s View - power potential very evident - 13 home runs and 42 RBIs in 87 games ( 257 AB’s ) with the FCL Phillies and Clearwater. He also has a keen eye - 71 walks led the minor league organization and .371 OBP was third. He also displayed good defensive skills, robbed a home run with a leaping catch against the left field fence in a game at Clearwater. The strikeouts are too high, sometimes swing gets long … albeit typical of long ball hitters. Seems to work hard and is coachsble, both assets to further development. 2022 Projection - likely breaks spring camp headed to Jersey Shore but Reading is within site.

Cornelius Randolph - OF - Birthdate : 6/2/97 - 2015 1st round draft selection - Griffin High School , Griffin, GA … This Fan’s View - had the best stint of his career from May 15th to the 25th ( 17 for 31 - .548 ) including a five hit game on May 19th. A forearm and elbow injury sidelined him from June 5th to August 13th. When we first saw him on the backfields in 2015 impressions made were of a short line drive swing, during the May stretch that returned. 2022 Projection - is eligible for minor league free agency.

Carlo Reyes - RHP - Birthdate : 7/4/98 - signed as an international free agent - 10/8/18 - Boca Chica, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - Carlo pitched successfully at three levels in 2021 ( Clearwater, Jersey Shore & Reading ) compiling 60 innings in 35 games primarily as a reliever. He posted a cumulative 2.40 ERA and 1.15 WHIP with 82 K’s and just 23 walks. Featuring four pitches ( FB- sinker/four seamer, Curve & Changeup ) with the four seamer ranging 92-95 mph and sinker 90-93 mph … gets great movement on each … primary secondary is the curve. He was in Fall Instructs to continue refining his change up. 2022 Projection -was a starting pitcher in the DSL in 2019 … with a four pitch mix and the ability to throw quality strikes it wouldn’t be out of the realm of returning to the starters role - his last three appearances in September were all starts for Jersey Shore. Pitched well at Reading - could return there but this time as a starter rather than reliever.

Felix Reyes - OF - Birthdate : 3/26/01 - signed as an international free agent - 2/22/20 - Bani, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - we were in the stands on July 15th, 2021 when Felix hit his first professional home run at Carpenter Complex in a FCL contest. The ball was smoked and got out of the massive backfield in a hurry. He would play in 37 games ( FCL & Clearwater ) and register 5 doubles, a triple and three home runs in 114 AB’s. The skill set is raw but the talent is evident. He’s a big fella at 6’4” … shows athleticism and ability nas likely a corner outfielder … we did see him at first base as well but footwork coaching is needed to progress there. We like what we’ve seen in small samples, hands seem quick, bat speed evident and desire high to succeed, sounds like a formula for success. 2022 Projection - we think a full season assignment out of the gate to Clearwater is a very real possibility.

TJ Rivera - INF - Birthdate : 10/27/88 - acquired in trade from Pirates 8/7/21 … This Fan’s View - acquired for an infield role with Lehigh Valley due to injuries … played in 31 games and hit .314 with 4 home runs and 24 RBIs in 86 AB’s … has previous big league experience with the Mets ( 106 games ) … can play all four infield spots defensively. 2022 Projection - likely returns as a veteran presence at Lehigh Valley

Johan Rojas - OF - Birthdate : 8/14/00 - signed as an international free agent - 1/18/18 - San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - very solid season for the very talented Rojas … 18 doubles, 4 triples, 11 home runs, 52 RBIs and 34 stolen bases in 96 games ( FCL, Clearwater & Jersey Shore ) - 381 AB’s. He also came to Fall Instructs for a couple weeks where we saw him finish the season. Has all the tools to advance to the majors and excel when he gets there. 2022 Projection - has a chance to begin the year with Reading, fall back plan being Jersey Shore with an in season promotion in mind.

Austin Ross - RHP - Birthdate : 8/16/94 - 2018 35th round draft selection - Radford University … This Fan’s View - a multi inning reliever Austin pitched in 34 games between Reading and Lehigh Valley in 2021 posting a 8-2 record amassing 49 innings ( 61 K’s and 33 BB ). He finished the season really strong ( last 8 appearances - 8 2/3 IP 1 R, 3 H, 12 K’s - 1.03 ERA ) … pitched in Australian Baseball League in 2020 - FB sits 90-92 but can touch 94 … hard breaking curve/slider and change up are secondaries. 2022 Projection - will compete for a Lehigh Valley bullpen role in the spring.

Ramon Rosso - RHP - Birthdate : 6/9/96 - signed as an international free agent - 6/2/17 - Santo Domingo Centro, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - Ramon appeared in seven major league games in 2021 and 21 more for Lehigh Valley and also pitched for the Dominican Republic in the Olympics. He’s converted to a reliever’s role … FB can reach upper nineties but generally sits 92-94, uses a slider in a relief role as secondary. We’ve always believed in his abilities to be a regular big league contributor - still think that’s within reach. 2022 Projection - should be in the mix in spring training to earn a major league role.

Jason Ruffcorn - RHP - Birthdate : 7/21/98 - 2021 8th round draft selection - Oklahoma University … This Fan’s View - appeared in 12 games with Clearwater ( 1.54 WHIP in 12 1/3 IP ) … sinker, slider, change up and curve ball mix - FB can light up the gun mid nineties and has late life that jumps on hitters. He pitched a lot in college as a late inning reliever so is capable of moving quickly in the system. We saw him in Fall Instructs where he pitched very well. 2022 Projection - Jersey Shore is a likely starting point to the season but early success could provision a quick move to Reading which would put him on the big league radar, I’d expect we see him a bit in Grapefruit League games this spring to get a feel for the competition.

TJ Rumfield - 3B/1B - Birthdate : 5/17/00 - 2021 12th round draft selection - Virginia Tech University … This Fan’s View - appeared in 13 games ( 76 AB’s ) with the Threshers where he posted a strong .426 OBP - 19 hits, 21 BB. Participated in Fall Instructs as well. Looks like a solid defensive first baseman, big target at 6’5” … left handed bat. 2022 Projection - will be a lineup regular either at Clearwater or Jersey Shore.

Matt Russell - RHP - Birthdate : 3/28/99 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 7/21/21 - Missouri State University … This Fan’s View - pitched in nine games with Threshers posting a 3.06 ERA in 17 2/3 IP with 22 K’s and 4 walks - 1.16 WHIP. We also saw him take the hill in Fall Instructs. Has a full arsenal of deliveries ( four seam, sinker, slider, cutter, change up and curve ) and sometimes uses a delayed delivery as deception … fastball can reach 95-96 mph, generally sits 93-94. Has primarily been a reliever in his college career. 2022 Projection - likely High A assignment out of spring camp.

Christopher Sanchez - LHP - Birthdate : 12/12/96 - acquired in trade with Rays 11/20/19 - signed as an international free agent by Rays 7/15/13 - La Romana, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - Christopher pitched in 19 games ( 73 IP ) for Lehigh Valley and in 7 games with the Phillies ( 12 2/3 IP ) in 2021. Fastball ( sinker ) generally sits 93-95 mph and features a slider and change up as secondaries. Needs to refine control/command in order to be fully effective. 2022 Projection - a big league spring camp participant with a chance to fill a roll … likely back with LHV as starting pitching depth.

Jadiel Sanchez - OF - Birthdate : 5/10/01 - 2019 12th round draft selection - Natividad Rodriguez Gonzalez High School , Arroyo, PR … This Fan’s View - hit .278 in 28 games ( 97 AB’s ) for the FCL Phillies and Clearwater Threshers in 2021. We saw him in both the FCL and Fall Instructs. Quick hands and good bat to ball skills … he hit .297 with a .373 OBP in 74 AB’s with the Threshers and hit both of his season home runs with Clearwater. Outstanding arm as an outfielder, moves well with good reads and jumps. 2022 Projection - will play the season as a 21 year old, we see him as a regular with the Threshers out of spring camp.

Rodolfo Sanchez - RHP - Birthdate : 1/12/00 - acquired in trade with Rays 11/9/20 - signed as an international free agent by Rays 7/2/16 - Bani, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - pitched in 20 games ( 57 IP ) in 2021 between the FCL and Clearwater recording 77 strikeouts and a 1.25 WHIP. Missed about four weeks in August due to the Covid shutdown in Clearwater, returned at the end of the month in rehab appearances with the FCL and then in September with the Threshers. Four seam fastball generally in the 92-95 mph range, secondaries are a slider and change up. Produces a lot of swings and misses but also struggled with control during the summer. Had a strong month of June ( 2.81 ERA in 5 games - 16 IP, 18 Ks and 6 walks ) indicative of what he might be able to do consistently. 2022 Projection - will pitch the season as a 22 year old, we think the stuff plays now to start the year at High A out of spring camp.

Andrew Schultz - RHP - Birthdate : 7/31/97 - 2019 6th round draft selection - University of Tennessee … This Fan’s View - spent the 2021 summer with the Complex rehab team working back from Tommy John surgery. He was back on the mound in Fall Instructs and was popping the glove in the 97-99 mph range, he also showed secondary offerings. 2022 Projection - if good health continues can be a quick mover, likely out of spring camp with Jersey Shore … upper levels in sight.

Brett Schulze - RHP - Birthdate : 11/24/97 - 2019 7th round draft selection - University of Minnesota … This Fan’s View - missed the entire 2021 season after having arm surgery … spent the summer with the rehab team at Carpenter Complex. When we saw him back in 2019 he showed the ability to throw quality strikes, good velocity ( 93-95 mph FB ). Posted a 0.34 ERA in 26 2/3 IP at Williamsport and the GCL in 2019. 2022 Projection - likely a mid to late summer return to action hopefully.

Parker Scott - LHP - Birthdate : 2/19/97 - signed as an un-drafted free agent 7/23/21 - Oklahoma State University … This Fan’s View - did not play in a game after being signed … pitched a good amount of innings in college during 2021 season ( 60 1/3 IP ) posting an 8-1 record and 2.54 ERA in 12 games. He missed time during the summer due to an abdominal injury. 2022 Projection - assuming good health could break camp with a full season squad else extended spring training assignment to accumulate innings.

Eduar Segovia - RHP - Birthdate : 1/10/01 - signed as an international free agent - 5/9/18 - Valencia, Venezuela … This Fan’s View - was part of the ‘21 opening day piggyback rotation for Clearwater. Pitched in 17 games ( 50 IP ) before suffering a season ending arm injury on August 20th. Three pitch mix ( FB, Slider & Change-Up ) with the fastball generally in the 92-94 range touching as high as 96 mph. The arm injury appeared to be either a shoulder or bicep when we saw it happen, did not participate in Fall Instructs although we did see him with arm in a sling indicating surgery had been performed. 2022 Projection - dependent on length of injury rehab … if healthy could move to High A - will be just 21 years of age the entire season.

Manuel Silva - LHP - Birthdate : 12/18/98 - signed as an international free agent - 7/7/15 - Sabana Grande de Palenque, Dominican Republic … This Fan’s View - appeared in 19 games with Jersey Shore in 2021 posting a 3.24 ERA in 41 2/3 IP. Slender built but capable of reaching mid nineties with fastball. Had an outstanding month of June posting a 2.03 ERA in seven games ( 13 1/3 IP ). 2022 Projection - used as a multi inning reliever in ‘21 … seems to be a good role, should compete in the spring for an advanced level roster spot.

Kendall Simmons - INF - Birthdate : 4/11/00 - 2018 6th round draft selection - Tattnall Square High School , Macon, GA … This Fan’s View - an injury plagued summer in 2021 for Kendall, forearm issues in the spring, was hit in the helmet and went thru concussion protocol in July followed by being sidelined when Covid issues forced multiple players into quarantine ( contact tracing & positive tests ) in August. Appeared in 46 games ( 147 AB’s ) with the FCL Phillies and Clearwater. He showed the ability to hit the baseball out of the yard is very much still there with six home runs … turns on high fastballs as well as anyone I’ve seen. Also participated in Fall Instructs. Just needs to get consistent reps both offensively and defensively … played 2B, SS and 3B during the summer. 2022 Projection - will be 22 years old for most of the season, we see him breaking spring camp either with Clearwater or Jersey Shore.

Jeff Singer - LHP - Birthdate : 9/13/93 - signed as an un-drafted free agent - 10/15/15 - Rutgers-Camden University … This Fan’s View - appeared in 44 games ( 53 IP ) with Lehigh Valley in 2021 out of the bullpen. Excellent month of May ( 1.93 ERA in 9 games - 9 1/3 IP ) and strong August ( 2.93 ERA in 10 games - 15 1/3 IP ) … very deceptive “long arm” delivery … fastball generally in the 90-93 range with change-up and slider as secondaries. Has strikeout stuff, issues at times with walks. We first saw him in 2016 on the backfields as a higher velo thrower … has since developed into a pitcher who trusts his full repertoire. 2022 Projection - we’ve long pushed for him getting a chance in the show, still confident he can do the job, just needs an opportunity.

Also seems to be selective, didn’t seem to get himself out on bad pitches but sometimes swings over top pitches. Defensively we’ve seen him in all three outfield spots, good reads and strong arm, he’s not a burner but seemingly can handle all three spots. 2022 Projection - seems destined for a High A assignment with Jersey Shore out of spring camp.

Very good at not going outside the strike zone and will take walks … generates good bat speed, we’ve seen him drive the ball. Defensively has had some struggles with blocking and receiving albeit we’ve seen limited action. If the bat progresses as projected has the offensive ability to justify a switch to first base.
