Summary :
McCarthy Tatum hit a two run home run over the center field fence in the first inning scoring Johan Rojas ( singled ) in front of himself. Seth Johnson ( mid to upper 90’s FB ) gave up the dinger, he’s one of the Rays many highly touted prospects.
Baron Radcliff went yard to left center field to lead off the second inning.
Bowling Green scored twice in the second inning on two singles, a wild pitch and ground out. Catcher Karl Ellison threw out a runner at second base attempting to steal to end the inning.
Ronny Simon singled for BG in the third, stole second and scored on a single by Osleivas Basabe. The Hot Rods loaded the bases with another single and a hit batter. They scored a run on a bases loaded walk. Another run scored on a ground out.
BG scored a run in the 6th inning on a couple of hits and a throwing error by JS first baseman Carlos De La Cruz.
On The Hill :
RH Mick Abel - 4 IP, 5 R, 6 H, 3 BB, 4 K’s - 81 pitches - 48 strikes - 96-100 mph FB

Summary :
Nineteen year old Andrew Painter struck out the side in the top of the first inning showing a fastball in the range of 96 to 101 mph 🔥.
Hao Yu Lee ( 19 yrs old ) hit a three run home run onto the right field berm in the first inning scoring Alexeis Azuaje & Yhoswar Garcia ( both of whom hit infield singles ).
Daytona scored in the fourth inning - Gus Steiger singled and was followed by two walks to load the bases. Michel Triana was hit by a pitch to score a run. Andrew Painter was in his first jam of the season, he continually jumped out to 0-2 counts but the Tortugas batters fouled off deliveries thereafter and worked walks. Andrew struck out Blake Dunn for the second out of the inning but his pitch count at that point was over the target and Manager Malloy lifted him. Steven Leyton singled against reliever Gabriel Yanez to score two more runs.
Anthony Quirion hit a solo home run in the 4th inning.
Daytona scored a run in the sixth inning on a couple of walks, ground out and wild pitch.
Marcus Lee Sang tripled in the bottom of the sixth inning, he scored on a single by Anthony Quirion. Micah Yonamine homered to score Quirion ahead of him.
Alexeis Azuaje hit an inside the park home run in the bottom of the seventh inning.
Daytona scored a run in the 8th as Jay Allen reached on an error, went to second on a balk, to third on a passed ball and scored when catcher Anthony Quirion threw to first on a strikeout/wild pitch beating the throw back to home.
In an oddity of the new rules - the umpire had called the Daytona’s Blake Dunn out on strikes to apparently end the 8th inning but he challenged the call and the ABS system reversed it to a ball 😳 - Dunn subsequently walked.
Clearwater scored a run in the bottom of the 8th as Jamari Baylor reached on a two base error, went to third on a wild pitch and scored on a balk.
