International League ( AAA ) - Lehigh Valley 7 ( 50-42 ) Scranton Wilkes-Barre 6 ( 45-47 )

Summary :


Justin Williams hit into a fielders choice ground out to score a run in the first inning.


Oswald Peraza doubled in a run in the third inning and later scored on a single by Miguel Andujar.


Ronald Guzman doubled and scored on a Chris Owings single in the 4th inning for SWB.


Oswaldo Cabrera doubled in a run for the Rail Riders in the 5th inning.


The Iron Pigs scored four runs in the bottom of the 5th - Dalton Guthrie singled, Mickey Moniak & Donny Sands walked to load the bases.  Nick Maton singled to score Guthrie,  Chris Sharpe hit a sac fly to score another and Justin Williams doubled to score two more.


Mickey Moniak hit a two run single in the sixth inning.


Josh Breaux homered for SWB in the seventh. Oswaldo Cabrera doubled in a run in the 8th.

Summary :


Logan O’Hoppe hit a three run home run in the 7th inning scoring Wendell Rijo ( doubled ) and Jhailyn Ortiz ( singled ) in front of him.


Griff McGarry was really good - mixed pitches and sat 96-97 with the fastball - not a big strikeout night - pitched and used his fielders - got himself out of jams when runners were on base.  Very encouraging performance.


Mickey Gaspar homered for Somerset in the 8th inning.  Anthony Volpe hit a two run home run to tie the game at three each.


Jesus Bastidas hit a three run walk off home run for Somerset in the bottom of the ninth.


On The Hill :

Summary :


Carlos De La Cruz & Casey Martin walked in the second inning, a wild pitch moved them both up.  Herbert Iser grounded out which scored De La Cruz. DJ Stewart singled to score Martin.


Jose Mena homered for Brooklyn leading off the third inning.


Brooklyn scored an unearned run in the 5th on a throwing error by third baseman Freylin Minyety.  Rowdey Jordan and Alex Ramirez each singled to score two more runs.


Carlos De La Cruz homered in the 6th inning. Rixon Wingrove walked and scored on a double by Herbert Iser.  DJ Stewart doubled to send Iser to third base.  Jared Carr doubled to score both Stewart & Iser.


Stanley Consuegra tripled in the 7th for Brooklyn and scored on a single by Rowdey Jordan.


Carlos De La Cruz hit his 2nd home run of the game in the seventh inning.


Alex Ramirez hit a grand slam home run for Brooklyn in the 9th inning.


The Claws loaded the bases in the bottom of the 9th but could not score.


It’s the 11th consecutive home loss for Jersey Shore.


On The Hill :

Summary :


Delayed start due to weather - game started just before 9 PM and was shortened to seven innings.


The Threshers loaded the bases in the first inning on a hit batter and two walks.  Andrik Nava singled to score two runs.


Juan Jerez hit a grand slam home run for Bradenton in the 6th inning.


Bradenton loaded the bases with no outs in the seventh on two singles and a walk. Three runs scored on walks.


Jamari Baylor tripled in the bottom of the 7th and scored on an infield single by Erick Brito.


On The Hill :

Colorado scored twice in the 6th inning on a walk and doubles by Bryant Betancourt and Oscar Aude.


Marco Soto doubled in the seventh inning, went to third on a fly out and scored on a sac fly by Santiago Torres.

Summary :


The Phillies scored three runs in the first inning, key knocks were an RBI single by Jorge Garcia, a sac fly RBI by Raylin Heredia and an RBI double by Juan Villavicencio.


The Brewers scored twice in the second inning on three singles and an error.


The Phillies scored a run in the third on a strikeout/wild pitch.   Three singles plated a Brewers run in the 4th, two walks, a single and hit batter forced a run in for them in the 5th.


RBI singles by Leanardo Rondon & Dariam Gutierrez scored two Phillies runs in the 8th.


Raylin Heredia doubled in the 9th, two walks loaded the bases and Leny Carela singled to score two runs.
