International League ( AAA ) - Lehigh Valley 9 ( 45-38 ) Rochester 1 ( 43-40 )


Allentown, PA - Coca-Cola Park


Summary :


Johan Camargo & Donny Sands singled in the first inning, Dustin Peterson doubled to score Camargo. Josh Ockimey  singled to score both Sands & Peterson.


Donny Sands & Josh Ockimey singled in the 6th inning, Jorge Bonifacio walked.  With two outs Scott Kingery doubled to score two runs.


Rochester scored a run in the seventh on an RBI single by Taylor Gushue.


Johan Camargo walked in the 7th, Donny Sands doubled and Dustin Peterson was intentionally walked.  Josh Ockimey walked to force in a run, Jorge Bonifacio singled to score Sands. Scott Kingery beat out an infield single to score another run. Ockimey scored on a wild pitch.


On The Hill :


LH Michael Plassmeyer - 6 1/3 IP, 0 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 5 K’s - 74 pitches - 56 strikes - was very efficient

LH Ryan Sherriff - 2/3 IP, 1 R, 3 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s - 23 pitches - 14 strikes

LH Braedon Ogle - 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 19 pitches - 14 strikes

RH James Dykstra - 1 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 1 BB, 0 K’s - 21 pitches - 9 strikes

Donny Sands had three hits, Scott Kingery, Josh Ockimey & Jorge Bonifacio each had two hits.  Dustin Peterson and Sands each doubled.




Eastern League ( AA ) - Reading 6 ( 36-44, 7-4 ) Richmond 5 ( 43-37, 3-8 )


Richmond, VA - The Diamond


Summary :


Johan Rojas homered to right field in the first inning to give Reading a 1-0 lead.


Brett Auerbach hit a two out grand slam for Richmond in the 5th inning - the bases had been loaded on two singles and a walk.


Logan O’Hoppe doubled in the seventh inning, Aldrem Corredor walked.  Kevin Vicuna singled to score O’Hoppe.


Corredor later advanced to third on a ground out and then scored on a balk.  Hunter Markwardt doubled to score another run.


Simon Muzziotti singled and Markwardt attempted to score - he was called out for leaving the base path to end the frame.

Reading loaded the bases with no outs in the 8th inning on a single by Johan Rojas and walks to Wendell Rijo & Logan O’Hoppe.  Kevin Vicuna hit a sacrifice flyout to score Rojas.


Sean Roby homered ( 23rd ) for Richmond in the bottom of the 8th to tie the score.


Hunter Markwardt was hit by a pitch in the 9th, Simon Muzziotti walked.  With two outs Wendell Rijo reached on an error on which Markwardt scored.


On The Hill :


RH Noah Skirrow - 5 2/3 IP, 4 R, 6 H, 2 BB, 9 K’s - 94 pitches - 60 strikes

RH Jack Perkins - 2 1/3 IP, 1 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 3 K’s - 35 pitches - 21 strikes

RH Braden Zarbnisky - 1 perfect IP - 1 K - 9 pitches - 7 strikes

Johan Rojas and Logan O’Hoppe each had two hits.  Rojas walked, homered and scored twice.  O’Hoppe and Hunter Markwardt each doubled.

The entire game was played with a light mist falling.

South Atlantic League ( High A ) - Hudson Valley 6 ( 43-37, 9-5 ) Jersey Shore 2 ( 27-52, 2-11 )


Lakewood, NJ - ShoreTown Ballpark


Summary :


Jared Carr doubled in the 2nd inning and scored on a single by DJ Stewart.


Hudson Valley scored a run in the 5th on an RBI double by James Nelson.


HV scored four runs in the 8th on a hit batter, two singles, sac fly and a two run double by Aldenis Sanchez.


The Renegades added a run in the ninth on an RBI double by Eric Wagamen.


Jared Carr singled in the 9th, DJ Stewart walked - Freylin Minyety singled to score Carr.


On The Hill :


RH Andrew Painter - 3 perfect innings - 36 pitches - 25 strikes ( 70 % ) - fastball reached 99-100 mph consistently, showed both a big break hook and sharp slider. Excellent outing - dominant.


RH Kyle Glogoski - 1 2/3 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 3 BB, 0 K’s - 48 pitches - 27 strikes

LH Erubiel Armenta - 1 1/3 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 4 K’s - 30 pitches - 17 strikes

Summary :


Wilfredo Flores homered ( 2nd ) in the second inning scoring Kendall Simmons ( singled ) in front of him.


Dasan Brown homered for Dunedin in the bottom of the third inning.  Rainer Nunez doubled to plate a second run.


Dunedin plated four runs in the 6th inning including a three run home run by Riley Tirotta.


Erick Brito doubled in the 8th inning, Leandro Pineda singled to send him to third base, Nick Maton singled to score him.


On The Hill :


RH Jean Cabrera - 3 1/3 IP, 2 R, 6 H, 2 BB, 6 K’s - 75 pitches - 53 strikes

RH Alex McKenny - 2/3 IP - faced one batter - got a 6-4-3 double play - 5 pitches - 2 strikes

Notes :


RHP Gunner Mayer was activated before the game.  OF Justin Williams was added to the team on a rehab assignment.

C Arturo DeFreitas threw out another would be base stealer - really like his defensive skill set.


Florida Complex League :


Blue Jays 5 ( 13-10 ) Phillies 5 ( 10-13 ) - game suspended after 4 1/2 innings

@ Carpenter Complex - Roberts Field


Summary :


The Blue Jays scored three times in the first inning, Manuel Beltre walked, stole second and scored on a fielders choice.


Yhoangel Aponte doubled to score a run, Jaden Rudd singled to score Aponte. A wild pitch and throwing error allowed Rudd to score.


In the second inning Marcos De La Rosa reached base on a strikeout/wild pitch for the Jays, he went to third on a single by Beltre and scored on a wild pitch.


Randy Vasquez tripled in the bottom of the second inning and scored on a double by Felix Reyes.  Diego Gonzalez singled to move Reyes to third base.  Adony Mejia singled and advanced to second when Gonzalez was thrown out attempting to go to third base.  Ricardo Rosario singled to score Mejia and advanced to third on a throwing error.  Jordan Viars grounded out to score Rosario.


The Blue Jays loaded the bases in the third on two walks and a fielding error, a run scored on a sacrifice fly out.


Felix Reyes homered in the bottom of the third inning.


The game went into weather delay ( lightning ) in the middle of the fourth inning.  It was eventually suspended after a one hour delay.

Phillies Red 6 ( 15-9 ) Nationals 5 ( 12-12 )


Summary :


The Nationals scored three in the first on a triple, three singles and a wild pitch.  They added a run in the second on a RBI double by Misael Mojica.  They scored another run in the 6th on a bases loaded walk ( the bases were loaded by two walks & a hit batter ).


The Phillies scored two runs in the 7th on a two out single by Arquedion Muller that plated Neify Rosario & Jorge Mendez ( both singled ).


A walk off win came to be in the bottom of the ninth - Yoangel Ramos walked and Jorge Mendez singled - they both scored on a double by Jose Leanez.  Fernando Hernandez walked with one out and Marco Soto ended it with a walk off triple scoring Leanez & Hernandez !


On The Hill :


LH Edwar Chirinos - 2 IP, 4 R - 2 earned, 6 H, 0 BB, 4 K’s

RH Josbel Garcia - 3 IP, 0 R, 0 H, 0 BB, 1 K

Marco Soto & Jorge Mendez each had two hits.  Jose Leanez doubled and Soto tripled.  Mendez scored twice, Leanez & Soto each had two RBIs.


Phillies White 8 ( 14-10 ) Mets1  3 ( 13-12 ) - seven inning game


Summary :


The Phillies scored twice in the second inning, one run on a wild pitch and the other on a sacrifice fly by Erick Barria.


The Mets scored twice in the bottom of the second on a bases loaded fielded error by SS Erick Barria.


Jorge Garcia doubled in the 5th inning and scored on a double by Raylin Heredia.   Dervin Andrade singled and Heredia scored. Andres Tabaras singled to move Andrade to third base.  Andras Hernandez singled to score Tabaras.  A wild pitch allowed another run to score.


Leonardo Rondon doubled in the 6th inning, went to third on a single by Jorge Garcia and scored on a single by Jarol Martinez.


Yohenny Mata doubled to score a run for the Mets in the bottom of the sixth.


On The Hill :
