International League ( AAA ) - Gwinnett 13 ( 60-63 ) Lehigh Valley 2 ( 68-55 )


Allentown, PA - Coca-Cola Park


Summary :


Rylan Bannon hit a two run home run for Gwinnett in the first inning.


Gwinnett scored four runs in the third inning - three came on a home run by Ryan Casteel.


Darick Hall hit a two run home run in the bottom of the third scoring Donny Sands ( singled ) in front of him.


Gwinnett scored five runs on three singles, a walk and a two doubles.


Position player Ali Castillo pitched the 9th inning - Gwinnett scored twice on a Ryan Casteel home run.


On the Hill :

Summary :


The Rumble Ponies scored three runs in the third inning - Ronny Mauricio hit a two run home run - the third run scored three singles.


Aldrem Corredor walked in the bottom of the third - he went to third base on a double by Jhailyn Ortiz.  Luis Garcia grounded out to first base and appeared to beat the pitcher covering to the bag but was called out - Corredor scored on the play.  Carlos De La Cruz doubled to score Ortiz.


Ronny Mauricio doubled to score a run in the top of the fourth ( Jake Mangum had reached on an error and moved up when Carlos Cortes walked ).  Binghamton loaded the bases and Nick Meyer hit a sac fly to score another run.


Ethan Wilson & Carlos De La Cruz singled in the 5th inning - they both scored on a double off the bat of Vito Friscia.


A walk, hit batter, double steal and two throwing errors resulted in two runs for Binghamton in the top of the ninth.


On the Hill :

Carlos De La Cruz had three hits including a double.   Vito Friscia had two hits and a walk including a double.  Jhailyn Ortiz & Wendell Rijo  each doubled.


Notes :


Manager Shawn Williams was ejected by the first base umpire in the third inning arguing a tag call.  Wendell Rijo was ejected in the fourth inning arguing a check swing call with the third base umpire.

South Atlantic League ( High A ) - Brooklyn 18 ( 62-58, 32-22 )  Jersey Shore 1 ( 44-76, 19-35 )

Summary :


Brooklyn scored three in the second inning - they loaded the bases on a hit batter and two singles - Shervyen Newton doubled to score them all.    They plated four in the third inning - Stanley Consuegra hit a two run home run - two more scored on a walk and three singles.


William Lugo hit a three run home run for Brooklyn in the fourth inning.


Brooklyn scored seven runs in the 5th inning on five walks, a hit batter, two singles and a double.


Baron Radcliff homered in the 6th inning.


Brooklyn scored a run in the 9th inning - position player Rixon Wingrove pitched the inning.


On the Hill :

Summary :


Tampa scored twice in the 4th inning -  Ben Rice, singled, Brett Barrera reached on an error - Madison Santos singled to score Rice.   Christopher Familia hit a sac fly to score the second run.


Matt Alifano & Emaarion Boyd were hit by pitches in the 5th,  they moved up on a wild pitch - Wilfredo Flores hit a sac fly to score Alifano.


Tampa scored 4 runs in the 7th on three singles, a walk and a double.

Summary :


Two walks and an RBI single by Axiel Plaz scored a first inning run for the Pirates.


Raylin Heredia tripled to score William Bergolla ( walked ) in the bottom of the first inning


Manolfi Jimenez doubled in the 7th inning, he scored on a single by Nolan Beltran.  Beltran stole second base and scored on a single by Derek Escobar.
