Summary :


Gwinnett scored three runs in the first inning on a walk, error, double and two singles.


Bryce Harper hit a long home run to right center field in his first AB 🤪😳🔥💪.


Alex Dickerson hit a home run for Gwinnett in the third inning.


Chris Sharpe & Rafael Marchan singled in the 6th inning, Daniel Robertson walked to load the bases.  Scott Kingery doubled to score two runs.


The Iron Pigs loaded the bases in the 7th inning - Dalton Guthrie ( HBP ), Bryce Harper ( walk ) and Dustin Peterson ( singled ) - Johan Camargo hit a sac fly to score a run.   Rafael Marchan singled to score two runs.


Gwinnett scored a run in the 8th on a walk, fielders choice, balk and sac fly.


Bryce Harper hit his second home run of the game in the 8th scoring Ali Castillo ( walked ) and Dalton Guthrie ( singled ) in front of him.  Dustin Peterson went back to back.

Summary :


Johan Rojas led off the bottom of the first with a home run.


Carlos De La Cruz and McCarthy Tatum walked in the second inning - De La Cruz advanced to third on a balk and scored on a wild pitch.  Tatum scored on a double by Herbert Iser.


Binghamton scored 6 runs on the 5th inning on 6 hits and two walks.


Herbert Iser doubled in the 5th inning and scored on a single by Kevin Vicuna.


Jake Mangum hit a solo home run for Binghamton in the 7th inning.  They scored an 8th inning run on a single, ground out and RBI single.


Jhailyn Ortiz walked in the bottom of the 9th - Carlos De La Cruz doubled to score him.

Shervyen Newton hit a two run home run for Brooklyn in the first inning.


Brooklyn scored a sixth inning run on two singles, a ground out and fielding error.

Summary :


Ryan Leitch homered in the second inning.   Conner Canon homered for Tampa in the 3rd inning.


The game went into weather delay with one out in the top of the 6th inning.  The game resumed shortly after 9 PM.


Caleb Ricketts hit a two run home run in the bottom of the 6th scoring Hao Yu Lee ( singled ) in front of him. Leandro Pineda went back to back.


In the 8th inning Caleb Ricketts reached third on an error, he scored on a ground out by Ryan Leitch.


On the Hill :

Summary :


Emaarion Boyd singled in the first inning, went to second on a throwing error and scored on a single by Justin Crawford. 


Otto Kemp walked and Dakota Kotowski singled to load the bases.  Gustavo Sosa hit a sac fly to score Crawford.


Justin Crawford walked in the third inning, Otto Kemp singled. They each stole a base to move up.  Dakota Kotowski singled to score them.


Emaarion Boyd was hit by a pitch in the 4th inning, stole second and then scored on a single by Justin Crawford.


Otto Kemp & Ezra Farmer singled in the 5th, Diego Gonzalez walked to load the bases.  Randy Vasquez was hit by a pitch to score a run and Cole Moore walked to score another.

The FCL Phillies won 8 of their last 9 games to finish the season strong - good upswing going into Fall Instructs Camp which is scheduled to run from 9/13 to 10/17 this year.

Dominican Summer League : last games of regular season


LAD Mega 6 ( 37-22 ) Phillies Red 5 ( 36-23 ) - seven innings


Summary :


Jose Meza hit a two run home run for the Dodgers in the second inning. They scored two more after loading the bases on two singles and a walk with a two run RBI from Eduardo Guerrero.  The Dodgers added a fifth run in the third inning on a walk, fly out advancement and RBI single.


The Phillies scored twice in the 4th - one on a single ( Fernando Hernandez ) and three walks, the second on a fielding error.

The Dodgers scored a run in the bottom of the fourth on a single, steal, wild pitch and sac fly.


In the top of the 5th Fernando Hernandez & Jose Colmenarez walked, they scored on a double by Jorge Mendez.  Jose Leanez singled to score Mendez.


On the Hill :


RH Luis Gomez - 1 1/3 IP, 4 R, 5 H, 1 BB, 1 K

RH Fernando Ortega - 2 2/3 IP, 2 R, 3 H, 1 BB, 0 K’s - two of three inherited runners scored

With today’s loss Team Red misses out on the playoffs as they lose tiebreakers to both the Houston Orange and Boston Red teams that finished with identical records - still a very good season for skipper Nerluis Martinez and his team finishing with a .610 winning percentage in his first year as a skipper !

Summary :


Andres Hernandez hit a bases loaded single to score a run in the second - two more scored on bases full walks.

The Rangers scored a run in the third on a single, stolen base and RBI single by Hector Osorio.


Jorge Garcia doubled in the bottom of the third - he circled the bases on a two base throwing error.  Derek Escobar walked, advanced to second on a throwing error, stole third base and scored on another throwing error.


Andres Hernandez reached on an error in the 4th, advanced on a single by William Bergolla and scored on a single by Leonardo Rondon.  Bergolla scored on a ground out by Jorge Garcia.


On the Hill :
