International League ( AAA ) - Lehigh Valley 13 ( 55-45 ) Syracuse 6 ( 45-55 )


Allentown, PA - Coca-Cola Park


Summary :


Kramer Robertson walked in the first inning for Syracuse - went to second on a ground out - to third on a wild pitch and scored on a passed ball.


Dalton Guthrie & Donny Sands both walked in the bottom of the first.  Johan Camargo doubled to score Guthrie, Sands later scored on a passed ball.


The Iron Pigs scored 6 runs in the bottom of the 4th inning - Chris Sharpe doubled, Josh Ockimey walked and Rafael Marchan singled to load the bases.  Jean Segura & Dalton Guthrie each singled to score a run.  Donny Sands singled to score two. Johan Camargo hit a sac fly to score one and Nick Maton doubled to score another.


Chris Sharpe singled in the 5th, advanced to third on a ground out and balk then scored on a single by Rafael Marchan.

Rafael Marchan & Dalton Guthrie walked in the bottom of the 8th, Donny Sands singled to score Marchan.  Johan Camargo singled to score Guthrie. Jorge Bonifacio singled to center to score another on a fly ball Khalil Lee lost in the sun. A bases loaded walk scored the 4th run of the inning.


Syracuse scored five runs in the ninth, three on a bases loaded double by Gosuke Katoh.


On The Hill :

Every Iron Pig in the batting order reached base today.


Rafael Marchan & Johan Camargo each had three hits, Chris Sharpe & Donny Sands each had two hits.  Camargo, Sharpe & Nick Maton each had doubles.


Jean Segura was 1 for 4 with a walk, run scored and RBI.

3B Johan Camargo made a great backhand stab of a grounder and threw from a prone position to start 5-4-3 DP in the 8th

Summary :


Michael Toglia led off the 2nd inning for Hartford with a home run.  They scored a run in the 6th on a walk, single, hit batter and ground out.


Reading scored twice in the 6th inning - Logan O’Hoppe singled and scored on a double by Wendell Rijo. Rijo went to third on the throw home and scored on a sac fly by Aldrem Corredor.


Daniel Montano homered for Hartford in the seventh.  They scored a run in the 8th on a walk, stolen base and single.


On The Hill :


RH Noah Skirrow - 6 IP, 2 R, 5 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s - 92 pitches - 58 strikes

RH Trevor Bettencourt - 1 IP, 1 R, 4 H, 0 BB, 1 K - 23 pitches - 15 strikes

Summary :


Hudson Valley scored a run in the first on a walk, single, error and ground out.


Jared Carr singled, Casey Martin walked and Baron Radcliff singled to load the bases.  Arturo DeFreitas hit a sac fly to score a run.


Eduardo Torrealba homered for HV in the 3rd, Carlos Narvaez hit an RBI double in the 4th, Tyler Hardman a sac fly in the 5th and Pat DeMarco an RBI single in the sixth as they scored single runs in each frame.


Hudson Valley scored three runs in the 8th inning including two on solo home runs by Trey Sweeney & Carlos Narvaez.


Luis Garcia tripled in the bottom of the 8th and later scored on a wild pitch.


On The Hill :

Summary :


McCarthy Tatum singled in the first inning, went to third on Chad Castillo’s first pro hit, a single and scored on Caleb Rickett’s first pro knock - also a single.


McCarthy Tatum doubled to lead off the third inning and scored on a double by Troy Schreffler ( his first pro hit ).  Caleb Ricketts singled to score Schreffler. Erick Brito singled to score Rickets.


Jamari Baylor walked in the 5th, went to second on a ground out, stole third and scored on a balk.


McCarthy Tatum doubled to lead off the 6th inning and scored on a single by Chad Castillo.


Jamari Baylor singled in the 7th, went to second on a passed ball, to third on a wild pitch and scored on a sac fly by Leandro Pineda.


Tampa scored a run in the bottom of the 7th on a double and two singles.


Cade Fergus hit his first pro home run in the 8th inning.


Leandro Pineda homered in the 9th inning.

Cade Fergus homered for the first time as a pro and Troy Schreffler doubled.  Leandro Pineda homered and had two RBIs.


Notes :


INF McCarthy Tatum was assigned to the roster on rehab assignment.  C Caleb Ricketts & OF’ers Chad Castillo, Cade Fergus & Troy Schreffler were assigned to the team.   INF Albert Jerez was released.

Summary :


Team White scored both runs in the 5th inning - Leny Carela doubled - he scored on a single by William Bergolla.  Leonardo Rondon doubled to score Bergolla.
