Tampa scored 4 runs in the fourth inning, the first on a walk, hit batter and a single - the next three on a home run by Ben Rice. Rice singled to knock in two more runs in the fifth inning.

Catcher Ryan Leitch was activated prior to the game, he was signed as an un-drafted free agent from Marshall University this July after the draft. He’s got a prototype short throw from behind the ear, a big arm, above-average pop times behind the plate - we saw glimpses of that in drills at the Complex last week and he showed it today in the third inning as he gunned down a would be base stealer at second base to end the inning ! Leitch is from Whitby, Ontario, Canada.
Game Two : Clearwater 6 Tampa 5 - nine innings
Summary :
Antonio Gomez & Benjamin Cowles each hit RBI doubles for Tampa in the third inning.
Caleb Ricketts hit his first pro home run in the 4th inning scoring Hao Yu Lee ( singled ) in front of him.
The game went into extra innings in a 2-2 tie.
Hao Yu Lee & Caleb Ricketts walked in the 8th to load the bases with placed runner Leandro Pineda. Kendall Simmons was hit by a pitch to score a run, Cade Fergus & Micah Yonamine each walked to score two more.
Tampa loaded the bases with two walks and the placed runner in the bottom of the 8th, two runs scored on a single by Christopher Familia. They tied the score on a wild pitch.
Leandro Pineda scored placed runner Jamari Baylor in the 9th inning on a sacrifice fly out.
