Australia :
Hub play began in Adelaide with the Giants playing a game apiece against Brisbane and Perth.
In game one vs Brisbane the Adelaide crew prevailed 2-1 with a walk off win. Down by a 1-0 count Cornelius Randolph led off the bottom of the seventh with a double and advanced to third on a wild pitch . After Rixon Wingrove reached base ( HBP ) Luke Williams delivered a sac fly that scored Randolph with the game tying run. Wingrove then scored the game winner on a walk off double by Jordan McArdle !
Austin Ross was outstanding in relief for the Giants as he delivered a perfect inning with two strikeouts ... big breaking curve ball has baffled the hitters he’s faced and velocity has been up a tick as well flashing 94 on the radar ... good stuff.
Jonathan Hennigan made his ABL debut in game two vs Perth ... the lefty reliever threw a scoreless inning after issuing a couple walks ... after first time out jitters he settled in. Fast ball was sitting 94-95 I was told and he threw a couple of his signature big spin curves ... watch out for this lefty this spring, I’ve long been a fan ... big league stuff and demeanor ... just sayin 🤔.
Taylor Lehman started game two for Adelaide and tossed three shutout frames allowing just a hit and two walks while striking out four batters. The big lefty was dominant in his second outing of the season.
Dominican:
RHP Neftali Feliz threw 1 1/3 scoreless frames for Aguilas Cibaenas and earned a hold in their 6-3 win ... he allowed one hit and struck out one batter.
Mexico :
RHP Victor Arano had a rough outing for Yaquis de Obregon ... 2 runs on 4 hits and a walk in one IP ... he will bounce back 👍.
Happy Day, Happy Baseball ⚾️
