The Phillies have signed free agent infielder Josh Harrison to a reported one year $ 2 million major league contract. Last season the 35 year old played with the Chicago White Sox and posted a .256 batting average with 19 doubles, 2 triples, 7 home runs and 27 RBIs for the White Sox in 425 plate appearances. He played second and third base and a little left field.

Harrison previously came to spring training with the Phillies in 2020 but was released prior to the Covid shortened season. A 40 man roster spot will need to be created for him.
