As the big club Phillies took a 1-0 lead in the NLCS with a 5-3 win over the Diamondbacks here are some game notes from the two most recent minor league games as they pertain to the organization.
Arizona Fall League (AFL) :
The Phillies are part of the Scottsdale team this year.
10/14/23 : Scottsdale 3 (7-4) Peoria 1 (8-3) - ten innings
Matt Kroon played third base and went 2 for 3 with a single and double. He scored a run and had two RBIs. Oliver Dunn led off and played second base, he went 1 for 3 with a single and also walked. Caleb Ricketts had a pinch hit double and scored a run. Gabriel Rincones Jr played right field and went 0 for 3 at the plate.
10/16/23 : Salt River 7 (8-5) Scottsdale 6 (7-5)
Jordi Martinez pitched two and one third perfect innings with one strikeout. He threw 22 pitches, 15 for strikes and stranded three inherited runners leaving the bases loaded in the top of the third inning.
Oliver Dunn played third base and hit second in the lineup, he went 1 for 4 with a triple, run scored and two RBIs. Gabriel Rincones Jr played left field and hit cleanup, he was 1 for 4 with a single.
