Logan O’Hoppe, Bryson Stott and Damon Jones were all named to the Western Division All-Star team ! I believe that’s a first for the Phillies to have three representatives … not bad for a system “lacking in talent” 🤓.
Logan O’Hoppe turned on a 97 mph fastball on Monday driving it over the left field fence for his second home run of the AFL season. He’s the first player in history to have hit a home run run in the same season in A,AA,AAA, AFL and big league spring training 💪.
LHP Damon Jones pitched very well on Tuesday in relief earning his first AFL win by going 1 1/3 scoreless innings with 3 K’s and 1 BB. He’s quietly put up very good numbers … has a wipeout slider and mid nineties fastball that are big league caliber.
Erik Miller tossed two scoreless frames on Monday allowing just one hit and two walks. The power arm lefty has strikeout stuff, is still working to make up for lost time this summer and reel in his command.
