Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 11/8 and 11/9. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Arizona Fall League :
11/9 - All Star Game : RHP Jack Dallas pitched an inning (1 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 2 K’s - 15 pitches - 12 strikes). Starlyn Caba (SS) went 1 for 2 (single) with a run scored. The AL all stars won the game over the NL all stars 5-4.
Dominican Winter League :
11/8 : Johan Rojas (CF) went 2 for 3 (single & HR) with a walk, stolen base, two runs scored and two RBIs for the Gigantes del Cibao in a 7-4 win to the Aguilas Cibaenas. LHP Jhordany Mezquita pitched a scoreless inning (two strikeouts) for the Aguilas.
RHP Adonis Medina pitched 1.1 scoreless innings (1 walk, 1 strikeout) for the Tigres del Licey in a 5-2 win against the Estrellas Orientales.
11/9 : Felix Reyes delivered a pinch hit RBI single for the Toros del Este in a 10-4 victory over the Estrellas Orientales. Yairo Munoz (3B) was 2 for 4 (single & double) with an RBI and two runs scored. Rafael Lantigua delivered a pinch hit three run double for the Toros. Rodolfo Duran (C) homered for the Estrellas and Rodolfo Castro (SS) went 1 for 3 (single) with a walk. RHP Robinson Martinez threw a perfect inning (1 K) and RHP Jimmy Cordero an inning (1 R, 2 H) for the Leones del Escogido in a 4-2 loss to the Tigres del Licey.
Mexican Winter League :
11/8 : RHP Devin Sweet pitched 1.2 innings (0 R, 1 H, 1 BB, 1 K) and RHP Efrain Contreras threw a perfect inning (2 K’s) for the Yaquis de Obregón in a 6-4 win over the Algodoneros de Guasave. Esteban Quiroz (2B) had two hits (single & HR) with two RBIs and a run scored and Jorge Flores (SS) had two hits (singles) with a run scored for the Algodoneros.
11/9 : LHP Jared Wetherbee pitched six scoreless innings (4 H, 9 K’s - 95 pitches - 62 strikes) for the Jaguares de Nayarit in a 2-0 win against the Venados de Mazatlán. LHP Taylor Lehman pitched a scoreless inning (1 H, 1 K - 13 pitches - 10 strikes) for the Jaguares. RHP Orlando Gonzalez retired the only batter he faced for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 3-2 win against the Águilas de Mexicali. Esteban Quiroz (2B) was 2 for 4 (single & double) with a run scored and RBI for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 7-0 win over the Yaquis de Obregón. Jon Singleton (DH) went 2 for 3 (single & double) with an RBI and run scored for the Tomateros de Culiacán in a 5-4 win over the Tucson Baseball Team.
Venezuela Winter League :
11/8 : Aldrem Corredor (1B) was 1 for 2 (single) with two walks for the Leones del Caracas in a 3-2 win over the Navegantes del Magallanes. LHP Cristhian Tortosapitched two innings (2 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 4 K’s - 44 pitches - 28 strikes) for the Cardenales de Lara in a 9-6 win over the Bravos de Margarita.
11/9 : Rafael Marchan (DH) was 0 for 4 with a run scored for the Tiburones de La Guaira in a 9-2 win over the Bravos de Margarita. Wilson Garcia (1B) was 1 for 4 (single) with an RBI for the Bravos. Jose Gomez (SS) went 3 for 4 (singles) with two runs scored and an RBI for the Navegantes del Magallanes in a 11-4 win over the Leones del Caracas. RHP Andrew Schultz pitched a scoreless inning (0 R, 1 H, 1 K) for the Tigres de Aragua in a 4-0 loss to the Caribes de Anzoategui. Simon Muzziotti (CF) was 3 for 5 (singles) with two runs scored and an RBI for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 6-3 win over the Cardenales de Lara.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
11/8 : Dalton Guthrie (LF) was 2 for 2 (single & double) with two walks, a run scored and RBI while Jesmuel Valentin (2B) was 1 for 5 (single) with a walk and two runs scored for the Leones de Ponce in a 9-5 win against the Senadores de San Juan.
11/9 : William Simoneit (C) was 0 for 3 with a walk and run scored for the Leones de Ponce in a 2-1 win against the Senadores de San Juan. LHP Gabriel Cotto pitched a scoreless inning for the Criollos de Caguas in a 7-3 loss to the Cangrejeros de Santurce. LHP Tristan Garnett pitched 1/3 of an inning (1 R, 1 H, 2 BB, 1 K) and RHP Jose Pena Jr 2/3 of an inning retiring both batters he faced for the Cangrejeros.
