Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 11/17 and 11/18. Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League :
11/17 : Rodolfo Duran (C) was 1 for 4 (single) for the Estrellas Orientales in a 6-1 win over the Gigantes del Cibao. Bryan De La Cruz hit a home run and recorded three RBIs for the Toros del Este in a 8-4 win against the Leones del Escogido. LHP Jhordany Mezquita pitched a perfect inning (1 K, 12 pitches - 9 strikes) for the Aguilas Cibaenas in a 6-4 ten inning win over the Tigres del Licey.
11/18 : Cal Stevenson (RF-LF) went 1 for 2 (HR) with an RBI and two walks for the Tigres del Licey in a 3-2 win against the Gigantes del Cibao. Johan Rojas (CF) was 1 for 4 (single) with a walk and RBI for the Gigantes. Bryan De La Cruz (RF) was 1 for 3 (single) with a walk and RBI and Yairo Munoz (3B) was 3 for 5 (two singles and double) with two runs scored for the Toros del Este in a 13-6 loss to the Aguilas Cibaenas. Felix Reyes was 0 for 1 as a pinch hitter for the Toros.
Mexican Winter League :
11/18 : LHP Taylor Lehman pitched a scoreless inning (3 K’s) for the Jaguares de Nayarit in a 2-1 win over the Charros de Jalisco. RHP Victor Vargas pitched five innings (1 R, 2 H, 1 BB, 6 K’s - 76 pitches - 45 strikes) for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 2-1 loss to the Yaquis de Obregón. RHP Orlando Gonzalez pitched 2/3 of an inning (0 R, 1 H, 1 BB - 13 pitches - 7 strikes) for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 10-6 loss to the Cañeros de Los Mochis. RHP Manuel Urias pitched 4.1 innings (1 R, 4 H, 1 BB, 1 K) for the Caneros.
Venezuela Winter League :
11/17 : Rafael Marchan (DH) went 2 for 5 with a walk, run scored and RBI for the Tiburones de La Guaira in an 18-15 slugfest win against the Caribes de Anzoategui. Herlis Rodriguez (CF) was 4 for 6 (single, two doubles, HR) with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Caribes. Simon Muzziotti (CF-RF) went 3 for 4 (two singles & HR) with a run scored and RBI for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 4-3 ten inning win over the Bravos de Margarita.
11/18 : Ali Castillo (1B) went 3 for 5 (singles) with a RBI and run scored for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 13-7 loss to the Bravos de Margarita. Herlis Rodriguez (CF) was 2 for 4 (single & HR) with a walk, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Caribes de Anzoategui in a 4-3 ten inning loss to the Navegantes del Magallanes. Aldrem Corredor (1B) went 2 for 3 (singles) for the Leones del Caracas in a 5-4 loss to the Cardenales de Lara.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
11/18 : RHP Andrew Baker pitched the tenth inning (2 R - 1 earned, 2 H, 2 BB - 1 intentional, 1 K - 11 pitches - 7 strikes) for the Cangrejeros de Santurce in a 6-5 ten inning loss to the Gigantes de Carolina. Jan Hernandez (CF) was 2 for 5 (single & double) with an RBI for Carolina. RHP Yacksel Rios pitched a perfect inning (1 K) for the Criollos de Caguas in a 2-1 win over the Indios de Mayaguez. Dalton Guthrie (CF) went 2 for 4 (single & double) for the Leones de Ponce in a 3-0 victory over the Senadores de San Juan.
Australian Baseball League :
League play resumes 11/20 (Australian time)
Fall High Performance Camp :
The Camp will conclude this week at Carpenter Complex and the MLB imposed black out period (minor leaguers not allowed to work at team facilities unless on rehab assignment) will begin - the blackout period ends on 1/1/26.
