Notes on Phillies and former Phillies participating in fall/winter leagues from games played on 11/29 and 11/30 (Australia). Current Phillies bolded and underlined.
Dominican Winter League :
Bryan De La Cruz (RF) went 2 for 4 (single & double) with an RBI and run scored for the Toros del Este in a 5-4 win over the Gigantes del Cibao. Johan Rojas (CF) was 2 for 5 (singles) with a stolen base for the Gigantes. Felix Reyes walked in a pinch hitting appearance for the Toros. RHP Aneurys Zabala threw a perfect inning in relief for the Leones del Escogido in a 8-1 loss to the Estrellas Orientales. Jose Rodriguez (DH) went 1 for 3 (single) for the Aguilas Cibaenas in a 4-2 win over the Tigres del Licey.
Mexican Winter League :
RHP Alan Rangel pitched a perfect inning (2 K’s - 11 pitches - 7 strikes) in his season debut for the Naranjeros de Hermosillo in a 1-0 win over the Cañeros de Los Mochis. Jon Singleton (DH) went 2 for 4 (singles) for the Tomateros de Culiacán in a 7-1 loss to the Venados de Mazatlán. Esteban Quiroz (2B) went 2 for 3 (single & double) with four RBIs and a run scored for the Algodoneros de Guasave in a 11-6 win over the Águilas de Mexicali.
Venezuela Winter League :
Herlis Rodriquez (CF) was 2 for 4 (singles) for the Caribes de Anzoategui in a 8-3 loss to the Tigres de Aragua. Simon Muzziotti (RF-LF) was 2 for 3 (singles) for the Aguilas del Zulia in a 10-0 loss to the Cardenales de Lara.
Puerto Rico Winter League :
RHP Carlos Francisco pitched a perfect inning (2 K’s) to record his second save for the Indios de Mayaguez in a 4-3 win against the Leones de Ponce. Jesmuel Valentin (2B) was 2 for 4 (singles) with a run scored for the Leones.
Australian Baseball League :
Rixon Wingrove (1B) was 1 for 4 (solo HR) for the Brisbane Bandits in an 18-3 loss to the Perth Heat. Perth scored eleven runs in the top of the ninth inning.
